Listened to a going west episode about Robert the doll and then a coupl e of Dark Parts episodes with my 12 year old and I swear they could make the best podcast for kids… scary but delivered in such a fun way. Wouldn’t have to change a single thing except cut out the F bombs and weed inuendo. And market it for families who like scary stuff. There are no good supernatural/scary podcasts for kids. Daphne and Heath should do it! It would be so perfect!

Long-time listener of Going West, I remembered the sneak peek they played for this podcast and really enjoying it. Went back to look it up and binged all the episodes in a couple of days. Daphne has a great voice for storytelling, and the sound effects were on point. I love all things scary, definitely wish there were more episodes!

This is SUCH a fun podcast to listen to! I love learning the history behind some of the creepiest myths/legends/stories that are out there, and I’m almost caught up and it will be so sad! We need more Dark Parts ❤️

Just listened to this episode and I had to laugh! Although it seems like an urban legend, this was attempted by some very idiotic A-hole about 25 years ago. My Aunt (who was a very tall sturdy and STRONG woman) and her best friend were coming out of an all night fire hall bingo program at around 1-2 in the morning. She and her friend were just about to get in the car(a four door sedan), when her friend said, “Zella, there’s a man in the back of your car crouching down behind your seat!” My aunt, who was afraid of absolutely zero, quickly opened up the back door-grabbed the man by the scruff of his neck , pulled him out and proceeded to beat the snot out of the man while screaming “ HOW DARE YOU!” Some firefighters hearing the commotion , came running out of the firehouse, pulled my AUNT off the bloodied man and he was promptly subdued and arrested. When the police were interviewing her and her friend, they said the man was crying and saying ,”She was going to kill me! I guess he learned his lesson: some women are not to be messed with! Thank you for your podcast. I listen to this and Going West all the time!

I really enjoy this podcast as well as their other one, Going West. I started listening to Going West first then started this once I ran out of Going West episodes, and this has a sort of lightness to it! They are spooky stories, but Heath and Daphne are able to show us more of their true and fun selves which has been awesome to listen to. They remind me of my family lol. I hope they continue making episodes!

I know it’s hard to keep it going with how busy Going West and Real Crime keep you, but what if you made this show something of a seasonal release where we got a few episodes a year around spooky time? 👀 Love you guys!

I have been listening to this podcast for day one and it’s been the best show so far(except going west ).Please consider continuing the show also I have an idea the Jersey devil or the Loch Ness monster and many others.So far 10/10

I truly love the concept and idea of this podcast. At first I was a little hesitant just because I was more into the true crime aspect of podcasts but I figured wth. Best choice I ever made, it’s light hearted but scary yet informative actually. Need more episodes !!!

First time listening and I listen while at work. I really enjoyed the episode and subscribed to podcast. In reference to Pink Floyd and Wizard of Oz, you must drop some acid to get more enjoyment out of this. You can find videos on YouTube where people have combined the two. Great show!

I’ve been a big Fan of Daphne and Heath’s other podcast going west because of its local stories (I’m from the PNW) but recently discover The Dark Parts it’s such a nice break from my usual true crimes listening. They cover old myths, and spooky tales galore, I’m learning a lot about stuff I’ve never even heard of. I would probably listen to anything these two do, they’re great!

Unique and fun

This and Going West are my favorite podcasts! I love how chill they both are and how although we could be discussing heavy topics I feel calm and relaxed and can have a good laugh. Thank you, keep doing your amazing work we love you!

I was excited when they brought this podcast back and most episodes are pretty interesting, but they just aren’t consistent with it. If episodes are supposed to come out on Thursday, then get them out on Thursday. Or at least communicate why they won’t be. It’s been what a month? since you released an episode. And crickets. That’s a slap in the face to the listeners.

I love this podcast because they creepy, dark topics but they aren’t so dark that they make you sad or uncomfortable.

Jim Morrison isn’t the only living being who can take that much acid. But agreed. Elephants should not have any acid, or critters in general. Love the pod. I can’t listen to it at night. Love going West and Reel Crime too. Y’all crack me up. I’m a PNW gal myself so I feel like I can really relate to your sense of humor. Keep the good pods coming 🙌

I love how light hearted this show is especially compared to Going West (Heath and Daphne’s other pod). I genuinely love Heath and Daphne, I listen to their shows all day while doing DoorDash, their voices definitely calm me and I’m always entertained.

Love this show and Going West. The Dark Parts is a little more let loose and fun. Rougarou was hilarious, I’d recommend that episode for a good feel of the show and the hosts personalities!

Really good show like the chemistry between the two

Love the zombie episode. To address the “Brains” about why zombies eat brains. As their food source becomes more scarce if they eat humans brains, new zombies can’t be created. Therefore a way to protect their favorite food source.

I started with Going West Podcast. The chemistry between these two really pushed me to try the dark parts! Love love love! The “Goatman” being my favorite episode so far! Look forward to many more!

My husband is a fan of Going West and we often listen on road trips. When I heard these two were doing a spooky podcast, I got SUPER excited to try it. This podcast is so funny and I feel the hosts feel super comfortable discussing the topics. We’ve binged all episodes available while doing home improvements. #beaweenie

Love this show and love Daphne and Heath! I like listening to The Dark Parts when I’m having a chill night at home. It’s the perfect amount of creepy and fun, so I don’t get too scared. Lighthearted with the creep factor. @Daphne, I totally played those Nancy drew games! The curse of Blackmore manor is the one with the 3:15am jump scare. <3

I love Going West, love creepy stories, true crime, etc. I didn’t know if I’d like this as (at my older age lol) I prefer more real crime stories…but they absolutely hooked me on this. Only “spooky” podcast I’ll ever listen to. Love the chemistry between you two. Makes for a super fun listen. Definitely keep this one going for creepy Halloween season at the very least 😊💕 👻🎃

This podcast is at the most mediocre point between narration and “documentary” that you could find. It’s hosted by two idiots that question only skepticism, brushing off any legitimate points about the fake nature of the stories they present in preference of repeated “Ooh, so spooky,” or “I just got chills.” They present the flimsiest stories f hearsay evidence with the wide-eyed awe of pure fact, leaving out any question of the authenticity of the account. They read off creepypasta and discuss clearly fictional or hyper inflated Reddit posts as the most true and creepy things they could find. Skip this if you have any common sense or half a brain, as it will frustrate you.

Huge fan of Going West & this pod is just as great. It’s a nice spooky but less depressing listen. Daphne and Heath have a fun banter and Heath & his random remarks are typically quite funny. Glad you guys decided to bring it back. Keep on!
