You two have great voices, a natural cadence and flow between one another, and I love the research and way you present cases. I only wish you had new episodes daily. Yes daily. In a sea of many true crime podcasts, there are only a handful that rise to the top. Maybe you could start one on just little known mysteriously missing people where there are no known suspects. ETA: ugh--you both say GD a lot. I understand if it's not offensive to you, but please understand it IS highly offensive to some and makes me legit sad. You both are so diligent about making sure you are not offensive anyone's lifestyles on your podcast except for this one area. I listen to podcasts all day every day, and there is not a single podcast out there that has more sponsored ads than this one. Fortunately, I can skip them 30 seconds at a time, though it is annoying. Every single time.

These guys really do their research!🧐 Just a small note about the latest episode 449- around time stamp 8:36 Heath says “his mothers daughter” but I think he means “his daughters mother” 👩 I don’t know if you’d want to edit the episode or not but thought I would share!! Daphne and Heath have great chemistry. (I hop so since they are married!) I really feel like this is a super shallow podcast that gives nothing but the highlights and doesn’t bother to dig deep on anything. I’ve tried it and left and tried again multiple times and I’m always left feeling….empty.

I’m a long time listener and I just love Heath and Daphne. They are great storytellers with not a lot of banter. Just the right amount. I love when Heath sings his little songs like “Just get a Divorce”. lol 😂 Daphne is beautiful and her voice is buttery and soothing. I consider this podcast one of my top five! ❤️🙌🏼

I like y’all but this Texan couldn’t finish the 10/15/24 episode about The Phantom Killer in Texarkana due to Heath’s pronunciation of Gonzalez. There is no ‘W’ in the name no matter how you say it. Maybe a lilting ’h’ if anything but that ‘W’ is a deal killer for me LOL.

Daphne and Heath are true professionals that approach every case with wit, charm & intelligence. Their case selections are enlightening and often lesser-well-known and they treat their subjects with the utmost respect. I appreciate that they allow themselves to be vulnerable and honest with their audience, while never distracting from the real subject of their episodes: the missing and murdered.

I recently learned that your podcast does not report correct, or all information, in your episodes. If you did your research correctly and didn’t make up your own ideas that hurt the family of the victim you might have kept more listeners. You’ve lost my respect and probably the respect of many listeners after your latest episode on Courtney Coco. How disappointing of you to put an already grieving family through your inaccuracies. How many other family’s have you done this to?

Today the hosts redid an old podcast. They played a clip from the old version. Now I remember why I started listening to ‘going west’ - calm assertive voices. Now it’s mostly the hosts yelling to get a point across instead of intelligently using words. But I’m still a fan.

The insights given into the Mendez brothers are intelligent and heart felt. Heath shares the unimaginable and often discounted true life experience that so many males live a lifetime dealing with. Daphne, as is her nature, is thorough and sympathetic. This is a great 2 part episode!!!

Updating my review to say that the Menendez episodes were the best episodes these two have ever given us! Thank you Heath for sharing your story. I have loved listening to Daphne’s and Heath’s progression over the years. They have always had a charm about them, but in the last year or so they have really honed their craft and have become confident researchers and entertainers. I also feel spoiled by twice weekly eps!

I’ve not listened to a podcast that is as sympathetic to the brothers. I think this, in part, is because Heath too was diddled as a child. The brothers murdered two people.

But the commercials, constant commercials, like five or six in a row every five minutes. It’s annoying.

Going west is by far one of my favorite podcasts! I look forward to Tuesday and Friday every week to listen! Daphne and Heath work great together and I love their voices! Thanks for this great podcast and excited for more episodes!

My main issue with this show is how much the hosts apologize or preface everything with “not to offend” or “not putting this down, but..” Heath made a comment about a beer brand and Daphne immediately jumped in like “we have listeners that like that beer!” …ok? Have your own opinions. Say what you mean and mean what you say. That’s still allowed.

I don’t typically leave reviews but after listening to every single episode on a regular basis, especially the recent release about the Route 29 Stalker- I felt compelled to do so. HEATH lol you crack me up!!! Thank you guys for being real, being who you are, and all the while providing us with excellent episodes filled with facts and human humility surrounding such awful circumstances. You truly feel like a couple of my own friends and I look forward to every new release.

I cycle through all of the true crime podcasts and Going West is by far my favorite. I like their get straight to it style without making it sound too scripted. Keep ‘em coming!!!

Great pod, on my queue every week. Love the intros to each case, they are very engaging. One negative - I understand ads are how yall make a living, I just don’t agree or appreciate that its through political ads. You’re the first of the pods I frequent to play them.

I love this podcast so much. Not only do they explain cases beautifully, they also say out loud what you’re thinking. Listening to this podcast feels like going over to your married friends’ house and they tell you crazy stories. I love that they credit their listeners who recommended cases. I love that the music goes hard. I especially love that they’re the perfect length. So glad I’m no longer a stranger.

I absolutely love true crime! I love the way they tell the stories with all the facts but also they say their opinions on the cases. They’re very respectful towards the victims & I love how they’re able to make some lighthearted jokes at the same time. I’ve listened to every single episode!!! I’ve tried to find another true crime podcast to listen to but they set the bar so high, it’s hard to find others just as great! Love, love, love the podcast!

The hosts have a way about them that is tops -bar none. Each story is investigated and told so professionally. I find them truly engaging.

I’m here for those rare, judicious times Heath calls someone a “piece of $h!t.” It’s so well-delivered that I’ve actually rewound and re-listened. If you haven’t heard it, be on the lookout for it. It’s deeply satisfying. They don’t sugarcoat anything. They say it like it is. They honor the victims and their families.

I’m revising my review and giving them 5 stars! Not only do they have good banter and tell stories well, they also don’t use sad terms like “S.A” or “Unalive”, they call it what it is!!! You SHOULD be outraged by words like “rape” because it’s a horrible thing! If we sugarcoat the word for fear of “triggering” someone, it’s as bad as pretending it’s not a horrendous act. Keep it up! Ps, Teeth, change ur name to something that’s clearer on air!

This was my favorite podcast period along with The Dark Parts which you guys admittedly had so much fun doing and could relax according to you both & it showed not to mention the Cryptids were best told by ya’ll (The Goatman is the best Goatman version of the camping incident online as it’s scary as heck but NOT gorry which if pulled off makes cryptids so much more fun/believable etc.. I have heard every episode of both shows 4/5 times easily so I joined Patreon & I feel like maybe with the singing & Coffee ventures maybe what got you to the dance is how you’re leaving everything you’ve achieved! 1st couple of Patreons were OK but all of a sudden were short & didn’t even present as complete stories. Then December 24th was last one and it’s almost been a month since another one & there’s a bonus episode recently also released as the next numbered regular episode which surely doesn’t count as both it’s not labeled “Real Crime” but said Apple Bonus with the next corresponding order #of GW shows so that surely can’t count as patreon also.. Thought patreon got 2 extra episodes a month but hasn’t been working like that & things just seems short & not to GW quality which has been & I’ve told so many about the show so I’ve just come to expect the best from y’all & I believe you care & also PLEASE bring the DARK PARTS back as it’s amazing & so many think so as your two voices are amazing & you’ve got something special with story writing and telling & side projects are great & it sounds like yall plan to take over the world with all you want to do lol! That’s good to have goals but keep making what you’re best at get better and better and other new endeavors will come easy. I don’t want to cancel Patreon yet but expect more AND Please do even 1-2 Dark Parts/week as 4 days of yall would make the world a better place as I hate seeing these other crappy shows ahead of yall! Your biggest (currently let down) but not giving up yet & most cryptid shows are blood & fake sounding silly nonsense not scary stories like the number of Broats didn’t even up in the trailer & they Goatman was in the trailer most of time taking their voices was scary as heck! Podcast doesn’t seem as good as it used to be and too many back to back cases with no resolution. We hate unsolved cases. Update. Daphne stretching her words out is driving me nuts and it's hard to listen to anymore! Just talk normal. 🙄

I’ve been listening for a few years. And Daphne is getting better and better at podcasting and storytelling. And Heath is getting worse. And if he doesn’t stop RESTATING Daphne’s points all the time…. Bro. She said it. You don’t need to reiterate her every point. She is much more clearly spoken than Heath. There are days when I almost quit because he can’t stop mansplaining what Daphne *just* said.

I love this podcast - they select great cases to feature and there is no silly banter, which I can’t stand. They work so hard, doing 2 episodes a week, and I like their voices. My only request is to please do more recent disappearance cases, from the last 5-7 years. Missing person cases really need the coverage.

Cases are ok. Take a shot each time they repeat “and again” “and obviously” “exactly”. It makes it really hard to listen and take it serious.

I enjoy everything about your podcast, except I wish you didn’t state distances in both miles and kms. I’m sure your fan base is far and wide (yeah!) but we truly can figure out the distance, if we feel the need.

Pod is in need of editing and a critical ear before being published. At the 20:40 mark, you say “in the aftermath of Pat’s death” when it hadn’t even been revealed that he had died. You had literally just said something about his “disappearance” seconds earlier at 20:34. Details like this ruin the storytelling.

I like this podcast. I do agree with others that it’s messed up to put victims stories behind paywall…. Yikes. Especially if unsolved. That’s messed up. Just do the stupid Ads like everyone else
