    Stop Interrupting, RJ!
I wanted to like this podcast because I love Columbo. One of the regular hosts, RJ makes the podcast so frustrating with his constant interruptions and half sentences that go nowhere. I like that they have guests on. The guests are excited to talk about the show, but every time a guest tries to make a point, RJ talks over them. He doesn’t seem to realize that podcasts are for listeners and this one isn’t just a showcase for him to show off how quickly he gets what they’re trying to say and then either agree or disagree with the guest’s point, before the guest finishes talking. I can’t bear to listen to this mess.

    The Best Columbo Podcast
The hosts are entertaining, understand the ‘70s aesthetic of the show, and bring on a guest star for each show who is usually related to that Columbo episode’s theme. I only wish these guys had another podcast now that they have completed every episode for Columbo.

    Not appropriate for children.
Would’ve been a great show without the cussing. I adore Columbo so I was excited about this. One thing I love about the show is that it’s wholesome, deals with murder but never raunchy. I liked what they had to say but only made it into the third episode and stopped because of the language.

    Mostly great discussion
The hosts are entertaining and enlightening. If you’re interested in the show, you can enjoy them. The real weakness is when they have a guest who doesn’t even like the show nor even the premise of it. Such a guest distracts from the content.

    Just Discovered this delightful podcast
Through Silver Screen Suppers. Am working my way through the back episodes. Just got up to 2015. Do not want it to end!

    Fabulous podcast
This really is an engaging podcast for Columbo fans. The podcasts format is really best suited for watching each corresponding Columbo episode (or at the very least being very familiar with it) before listening to each podcast. The intros they craft for each podcast episodes set the stage for what usually ends up being a very entertaining conversation (with a guest) about the Columbo episode they have chosen.

    At once reverent and irreverent
As a 50-something Columbo obsessive, I devour all and any podcasts that delve into each episode, as this one does. JOMT is my favourite of the three to which I subscribe. The hosts are...well, I just like them as podcasters and as commentators on all aspects of TV culture. Yes, they do go off on tangents, but that’s because they’re interested in other stuff, and it’s usually when they’re analysing one of the few bad Columbo episodes and don’t want to just slag it for 90 mins. They obviously hold the best of the show in the highest regard. I can tell I’d enjoy talking with them about Columbo.

    Boring and wandering
Of the three Colombo podcasts I found, this by far the weakest and the least interesting. Like the other American Colombo podcast, this is hosted by a couple of people who are more interested in the history how clever they think they are rather than really getting to the subject at hand. The tangents are boring and often pointless, and there is definitely a demonstration of the lack of research or understanding of the era, the location, or even the genre as it was on television the time. Sadly, while none of the Columbo podcasts is hosted by anyone who is old enough to have lived during that time when the show originally aired, and apparently none of them live in Los Angeles either, this particular podcast seems mostly about deriding pretty much every single aspect of each episode, and yet at the at the end of the podcast episode exclaiming how much they love the series. It's a bit baffling and tedious. A much better podcast is actually hosted by two Scottish gentlemen, who seem to genuinely appreciate the series and the concept of research.

Jack Cassidy would have loved these guys!
Jon and RJ host a very entertaining Columbo podcast. I am hooked, so much so, that I friggin' bought the Columbo DVDs (in 2018, mind you) to watch each episode before listening to the show recaps. The hosts blend pop culture and 1970s nostalgia to help contextualize each Columbo episode. Jon is surypy smooth and RJ is kind of twitchy in their respective deliveries, which lends well to their analyses. The gents are great hosts, but occasionally overrun their guests -- especially their female guests. Really enjoy the work of the JOMT podcast, please keep up the good work - enjoyable and interesting.

Don't bother with this disappointing podcast.
Initially, I was happy to find this podcast. Although the original Columbo series was broadcast when I was growing up, I did not get into it. I recently discovered the Columbo series through streaming services and have thoroughly enjoyed it. Unfortunately, these podcasters do not do justice to the series. They spend their time going off on tangents, swearing, and making derogatory comments about the women featured on Columbo episodes. They don't bother to do any background on the series many guest stars including the incredible Lee Grant, Trish Van Devere, and even Bradford Dillman who they admittedly confused with Bruce Dern! Don't waste your time listening to these giggling frat boys who do not appreciate the Columbo series.

An In Depth Look At a Beloved Character & Show
It’s always a treat when a new episode pops up in my feed. A fun and in-depth discussion of episodes both good and bad. Even the tangents they go off on are a treat as are the many guests they have (except Blaeyart - will never forgive). There is much here to be learned about the rumpled detective. And rewatching the episodes with a critical eye for homework is fun for the listener as well.

    EDIT IN POST GUYS!!!!!
Now that they've gotten their friends to write very short five stars without having actually listened, I'm here to write from the perspective of an honest-to-goodness 50-year Columbo fan from the very beginning. I've seen every show many many times. And I have played several episodes of "Just One More Thing." I'll probably slog through the whole series because I seriously adore Columbo the character and Peter Falk the actor. I also enjoy a murder mystery where the mystery is not who did it, but how is the killer going to screw up. I enjoy the great Hollywood movie stars doing turns on a well-written, well-acted show. (Is this the podcast where nobody had a clue who Myrna Loy or Blythe Danner were? If not, I apologize.)The biggest irritant is that they go off topic not with brief, amusing asides but 10-15 minutes or more. If I want an eating tour of Detroit, I'm sure there's an actual podcast devoted to that. Sheesh. Fortunately the Podcast app has a skip button and a speed up button. Otherwise, I'd probably stomp on my AirPods in rage. Fellows, you have a super topic and care a lot about it Please cut out the stuff about all the sets you recognize and other extraneous ADD forks. Columbo is made in a studio. We expect them to recycle sets and actors. Now they're gabbing about Matlock. On and on. They're reading from IMDB about a Matlock episode. Stop it. Just stop it! They're 8:16 into the episode and haven't mentioned Columbo yet. Have mercy on we who really love Columbo and want to hear your take on it. I happen to be a real Star Trek TOS fan, but you're ruining my enjoyment with irrelevant Star Trek trivia and opinion it in the middle of a podcast about an episode of Columbo. Do a Star Trek podcast next time and don't talk about Columbia. For the love of god, we not only don't need to know every show some actor had a bit part on, but where he's from and where that is in relation to the guest's home town. (2 1/2 hours) That's not interesting on any podcast. Thank you for your time.

    Lots of fun
Most important aspect of this podcast is hosts clearly love the show, and love to talk about it. Very funny and detailed. Lots of fun

Come for the Lieutenant, Stay for the Tangents
I doubt a podcast has so benefitted from an element the hosts seem so apologetic about as Just One More Thing: A Podcast About Columbo has from its frequent tangents. The format, which has hosts RJ White and Jon Morris discussing random Columbo episodes with various guests, by its nature gives this podcast a more fluid feeling than the Columbo Podcast. Admittedly, I haven't felt compelled to go back and try to finish the one or two episodes I dozed off on, but, with very few exceptions, the episodes have been not only entertaining, but informative, with the best bytes often coming from the tangents the participants go on away from the actual Columbo episode they're discussing. My favorite episodes of the podcast so far have been the discussions of "Columbo Goes to the Guillotine" and "Prescription: Murder." It's nice to hear a podcast where the participants aren't completely clueless about what they're watching. Just One More Thing: A Podcast About Columbo is well worth a listen.

    A must!
As a huge COLUMBO fan, I was so excited to find this podcast. The hosts are so much fun to listen to. Both of them have a fantastic sense of humor, and they never take themselves too seriously. If you enjoy COLUMBO as much as I do, do yourself a favor and subscribe!

Major Colombo Fan & A Fan of this Podcast
I'm a major fan of the 70s episodes of "Colombo." It was before my time, but I caught reruns in the 90s. I've seen every episode; the 70s episodes I've seen about 20 or so times each ... no joke. And I own every episode. Love, love, love "Colombo" from te 70s. Now the 80s and 90s epsidodes ... yikes. They are heinous. I think the worst one ever was the very last one. But ... this isn't a "Colombo" review. It's a review of this podcast. I really enjoy it. I had no idea that there were people in 2017 who were fans like I am, so it is refreshing to hear others talking about this show with passion. What I'd really love if for the hosts to go more into back stories. For example, how Jack Cassidy died soon after his last "Colombo" episode was filmed and cuase of death. Or how Barbara Colby, who played Lily LaSanka in "Murder By the Book," was mysteriously murdered, along with her boyfriend, in real life as they were leaving an acting class she taught ... at the time she was estranged from Ethel Mermen's son, Robert Levett, Jr. (Weirdly interesting, right?) I'd also love for them to talk more about the sets. For example, was used in "Murder By the Book" and in "The Most Crucial Game." In recent years, it was knocked down and a new house built on the site. It's probably THE most expensive property in the US. Property taxes alone are about $360k. Here's the address: 944 Airole Way, Bel Air, Los Angeles, California, USA - interesting stuff. The hosts do touch on some back stories, but I wish they'd do deeper dives. I always want to know the behind-the scenes stuff, so I've looked these things up ... like "where are they now" and "where is THAT place" or "what does it look like now." I know there are so many things I haven't uncovered that I'd fiind super interesting. Overall, however, I enjoy listening to others who are fans like I am. Very entertaining and a lot of fun. Thanks for doing this podcast series!

    Occasionally awkward listening
All in all a good Columbo podcast, with hosts who are both knowledgeable and passionate about Columbo. Occasionally hard to follow along as guests' comments are frequently punctuated with interruptions- speakers need to balance their speaking and listening time so the conversations are more balanced and even to listen to

    Would be 5 but...
for the guests. The hosts are strong enough without extra guests, and I'd prefer to hear real Columbo fans discuss. The special guests add little, in my opinion. I feel that way about all podcasts, though, so take this with a grain of chili seasoning.

    great podcast
great discussion of a very entertaining show. The hosts and the guests do a great job talking about the show. They obvioulsy love the show but they aren't blind to it's various missteps.

Love it but R.J. Is rude.
I love the podcast and I've been a Columba fan since the show started. I'd give it five stars but RJ rudely interrupts and talks over the other host and the guests. Apparently RJ doesn't care because he even did a little skit where he interrupted the other host repeatedly. It wasn't funny and the loud and rude interruptions and talking over just show childishness.

A gem for any Columbo fan
Just discovered about a month ago, and have been binge listening. Funny, insightful, and nerdy enough for any true Columbo lover. Hosts are great with nice selection of guests. Glad I found. Lisa S

    What a show!
The two regular hosts are fantastic and they bring in a guest every episode to get an outsider view of Columbo. I love the hosts, they are witty and thoughtful. The only gripe I have is the "clever" titles of the episodes which make it difficult to find particular Columbo reviews.

    Just One Great Podcast
Thoroughly enjoy this podcast. The host and most guests know the shows very well, and can be funny too. I listen to the ones that cover episodes I know and have seen numerous times, so I can go a week or two without listening. But when I do, I thoroughly enjoy it!

Yes, it is a funny podcast
This podcast is hosted by: hosted by RJ White and Jon Morris, with special guests. I do not like this one that much since it looks like they just pick their episodes from a hat and their special guest stars have nothing to do with Columbo at all, they are just a bunch of their friends. There is no order in their podcasts and all the episodes I have listened to have no substance at all. They don’t really talk about the scenes in the episodes just about random stuff that an actor might have done or anything that comes into their heads. It is like listening to a bunch of people in a room who are drunk talking about nonsense but stating they are talking about Columbo. If you listen to this podcast you can’t even tell what the plot of the episode is, they do not discuss the actors that are in it and they do not even try to be accurate in the episodes discussed. I swear, one of the podcast I listened to after they spoke about the first scene in the episode they did not discuss the rest of the episode at all. I don’t recommend this podcast to anyone unless you are drunk and you don’t actually care about any Columbo episodes but you want to laugh. I give this podcast 2 stars and that is being generous because they do make you laugh.

    Wait'll I tell my wife!
I was just telling my wife the other day how much I love listening to podcasts where it feels like you're right there in the room with the hosts. I'm a really big fan. I've listened to all the episodes. And what insight! I should take my dog to the park more often so I have more time to listen to these fellas.

    One of the best
Enjoyed every episode. These guys are amazing. Fresh, funny, irreverent - and leading us toward wherever Columbo meant for us to go.

    Love it!
These guys are very insightful and impart all kinds of fun facts about each episode they review. Love the energy they put into this show!

    Not for the Columbo Fan
I did not enjoy this podcast. The hosts do not seem to appreciate the show and don't offer interesting observations. The podcast on the Now You See Him Columbo episode was particularly bad, with a spectacularly unfunny guest.
  • Commasplice
    Insightful
This is one of my favorite podcasts. What's unusual about this one, is that the hosts are not taking on the show chronologically, nor do their guests always have familiarity with Columbo. This usually works quite well. Also, they have a solid understanding of the Columbo format and an appreciation for the time in which it is set. Really well done.
  • magnoliasouth
    Interesting and fun.
This is really an interesting podcast. Each week they have a guest who may or may not have ever seen Columbo and may or may not have liked the episode, or even Columbo, but it's fun getting a different perspective. There is a lot of trivia thrown in the mix as well. The Columbo fandom isn't as wide as say Firefly, but we are out there and it's nice to see us recognized. If I had a complaint, it would only be that I wish RJ's voice were a little louder. It's hard to hear him, so you have to turn it up, then when the others speak, you get blasted. Many thanks guys for such a fun podcast!

    Always a good listen
The hosts are quick-witted and perceptive. I'd listen to this podcast even if I wasn't able to watch the Columbo episodes.

    Tremendous!
For anyone who is a fan of Columbo, Peter Falk, or TV from a bygone era, this podcast fills a niche that I didn't know needed to be filled. What else are you going to listen to? A Frasier podcast? Psssht. Yeah, right.
  • cdtatro
    A weekly "must listen"
This podcast is a delight. I've always been marginally aware of Columbo (my parents watched it back in the day) but not a true Columbophile. The podcast gives a very approachable breakdown of the episodes and is witty and entertaining. Jon and RJ know their stuff when it comes to 60s/70s tv and movies. They don't ridicule the show and aren't viewing it from some kind of ironic detachment. It's clear that they truly love the show.
