Lisa ZzzzzFantasticJust discovered this pod but have read the wonderful murder mystery books. Great inside knowledge and terrific rapport.
-
MightyBoshAnxiousI love Mariners columns in the Guardian but for the love of God please relax in this podcast. Her galloping delivery and swallowing of sentences is hard to listen to. Richard has a stuttering delivery too, but it isn’t at the anxiety inducing level of his cohost. Both have something interesting to say just work on calming down. Please.

nucuplmnjuyhGreat, but…SLOW DOWN, Marina. And Richard, say something useful.
-
khliguyviuyoiMr Beast AGAINSeriously who cares about Mr Beast. Well these 2 do. I wish they would stop giving time to R*gan-adjacent types.
-
angrylfExcellent showThe hosts are great, the content discussed is varied and interesting - this is a top notch show - I’m among the most critical, gripirst, easily annoyed listeners and I HAVE NO COMPLAINTS.
-
FittenTrimUgliness in audio formThe glee which the hosts celebrated Trump’s victory was shocking. Telling celebrities to “shut up and act” while saying celebrities turned voters off ignoring Trump’s whole candidacy is built on he past celebrity. A special brand of twits

travlermbMarina Hyde is awfulNever have I listened to someone who speaks so fast without saying anything really.

MrwsHAIR REPLACEMENT??That you have lowered yourself to this level is gag. It’s legit pathetic.

Mts233Very goodMy favorite podcast. So many entertainers with podcasts seem to talk about how much they hate tv, can’t get through a film, etc., but you can really feel Marina’s and Richard’s love for all areas of entertainment in this podcast. They feel no need to provide caveats for “high” or “low” culture, they approach every subject with the same level of respect. I really enjoy how humanely they disagree with each other—a trait verging on extinction. I also enjoy how they pronounce almost everything correctly, something you can’t even find in public radio anymore. Very good.
-
Aquaman2UghSome great information if you can get by their politics and meandering off topics. It gets more and more frustrating to listen. Also, little American info. More UK based info.
-
GeorgielewPerfect companyStimulating conversation is heightened by their insider knowledge. But an extra star for Marina’s glittering laugh!

jmaclovesme2Best Pop Culture PodcastI absolutely love this podcast!! It’s addictive. Richard & Marina are the two perfect hosts for this. I always say that I’m a pop culture fanatic and this gives me everything I want to know. You get all the info on everything from celebrities to tv shows, books, gossip, etc. and because they are in the business, they have all the behind the scenes stuff that I crave!! If you love pop culture as much as I do, this is the podcast for you. I am truly obsessed and I hope this is on for a long time!!

Scrabble made worseSlow down a bitI love the work of both writers and enjoy the podcast. I’m quite used to different British accents, but there are times when the hosts get animated and speak a bit too fast. I find myself rewinding the stream.
-
TrustyVSInsufferableI listened because I am a fan of Rest is History and Politics and Marina’s column in The Guardian. All they seem to do is watch Reality TV, which is inane. Also Richard Osman is entirely high on his own supply. This should be renamed The Rest is Richard Osman, who if I am honest i had never heard of before.

092416Looking forward to more…Very much enjoying learning about the entertainment industry from a new perspective. It’s an eye opener to hear about the connections within. Loving the recommendations too, but need more info in the show notes please, directed to the US audience as well as the UK. For instance where can I watch the Ronnie O’Sullivan documentary? Now I really want to watch it, but I can’t find it anywhere! Looking forward to future podcasts. If possible could they be a little less fast paced, even as a Brit I’m having a bit of trouble keeping up with Marina sometimes. Be that as it may, thank you for sharing your insights. I really appreciate it and am looking forward to tuning in for more.

50andintouchSpare meTwo snarky hosts in love with themselves for no apparent reason; this podcast is insufferable. The overuse of the word “brilliant” because they think it sounds neat was annoying. Their POV was pretty surprising. Fawning over the wife of Jeff Bezos? Her accomplishment in life was seducing a married man bored with his marriage. Do they realize that must happen thousands of times a day?

Domic57Very entertaining. It does what it says on the tin.Long time admirer of Marina’s writing. Never heard her voice. Not watched Richard’s game show but he comes across as well informed and good chemistry with Miranda. Great job to both in a competitive world.
