    Love this show
The GC CEO interview was my favorite episode so far!! Keep it up guys!
  • Edman9
    These guys are so great!
This may be my second review of this show, I don’t know. I am a patreon member also, bc these guys are with the extra…they communicate as naturally as ANY group on here. All 3 are super smart guys with quick wits, and there is no better podcast out there.

Like hanging out with your buddies!
One of my favorite podcasts for a commute home on a Friday. Like shooting the s#!+ with your buddies on the weekend drinking a beer and talking gear!
  • i watch it on youtube usually
    Correction
“I’m my own Grandpa”. Was a cover song. The original version was in the 30s or something. My grandparents had a record of it. I’m not angry I’m disappointed.

    It’s great
Until they start talking guitar crap. The best is when something random happens and they joke on it for 20 minutes. I’m not a fan of tone mob. Blake is more entertaining when he hangs out with stupid people like him. Richard is constantly stoned and Brian is always distracted in his web browser. Overall, it’s a well executed train wreck. 5 stars.

    Unbelievably annoying
Brian Wampler and the other guy sound like nice dudes. But whoever the over-caffeinated talk hog is needs to get the boot. Anyone who thinks they’re provocative when they preface every statement with “this is probably going to offend a lot of people but..” does not need a podcast megaphone. Dude said that three times before I finally turned off the podcast. I just wanted to hear about guitar wiring mods and circuit boards, not jackass worldviews. No thanks!

    Thanks!
Brian is so funny! He reminds me of the guy who made fireworks for my dad when I was young! They are both mad scientist kinda to smart for their own good.

    Not For Gear Nerds
This podcast and its hosts are very entertaining, but it being touted as a music oriented podcast is pretty misleading. I tuned in because I wanted a pedals and gear related podcast, and what I got was about 10% that. The rest of the podcast is spent talking about AI constantly, complaining about Elon Musk, talking about social media (which I listen to podcasts to get a break from!), or talking about some other random thing that’s totally unrelated to music in any sense. Hopefully I return to this podcast and find it to be more on topic in the future, ‘Cause I really love Brian, Blake, and Richard’s personalities. I feel like, with just a bit more focus, they could really have a 5-star podcast.

    Great Podcast For Guitar Players!
Love The Show Brother! New Sub Too!

    Good podcast
Just 3 guys talking about random stuff, sometimes including guitar pedals
  • OneChosen2
    Used to be better
Fun guys… but I liked it better when they talked about guitar stuff. 🤷🏻‍♂️
  • Muilao
    Awesome podcast
Good gear talk and funnier than any comedy podcast out there.

    Fungible guys
This podcast has slowly grown on me like a fungible infection. They remind me of having friends. Sometimes they talk about guitars, which is even better.

Brian, Richard and Blake are the pinnacle of guitar entertainment excellence.

    Offensive, off-topic, un-American!
OK, my title might be slightly hyperbolic but there’s a grain truth in there. One of the hosts has this thick accent like the people on that Doctor Who show. He talks all the time and nobody else gets a word in edgewise. And you know what he talks about? He talks about black pudding! Yeah, pudding made with pigs blood. Don’t get me started on the defecated coffee. Speaking of shutting up, there’s this other neck beard guy… that dude says Cracker Barrel doesn’t have good food! I’ve never heard a more disgusting, more un-American thing said on a podcast in all my days. There is no finer American culinary institution on any interstate or back highway in this gods country. Heck, we copy Cracker Barrel all the time at my house. Here’s the secret, you make your mashed potatoes, you fry your chicken, put about a shaker full of salt over the whole thing and you’re set! Sometimes you might have to dump a stick of melted butter on top but it always comes out tastin’ like Cracker Barrel in the end. Now there’s one guy on the show that I really would like to see shut up. He’s just a circuit nerd type of guy who’s constantly looking on Google for something and not contributing to the show at all. Literally all this guy does is make circuits to mess up a guitar signal. Like, he doesn’t want the guitar to sound like a guitar. He wants it to sound like this crazy jungle jump heavy metal Satan music. Or sometimes he’s always doing this good old boy impression but I can tell he’s making fun of us. I CAN TELL! So other than those three things it’s really the only podcast you can listen to to get real information on space aliens, military coverups of space aliens, and the legendary Tayter Shwifty. If you want guitar gear info ya’ might want to keep moving along.

    My favorite guitar podcast
Great podcast, gentlemen. Please bring back Travis more often.
  • Glanum3
    A fun show
If you want to deplay true bypass vs. buffered bypass, this isnt the podcast for you. This is a fun conversation between different characters that often hits on guitar and guitar gear. Just a fun time with people who arent taking themselves too seriously.

    Great podcast
I look forward to this every week. They talk an adequate amount.
  • jurgen2223
    Love the Show.
I look forward to listening what you guys will discuss next. Always fun even if it’s off the wall and off topic. Enjoy Brian, Richard and Blake’s back and forth U.S.A./UK banter. Always a good time. Thanks for the show. Jeff

I really like the guy with the glasses
He’s really… handsome. Wait now they’re all putting glasses on.
  • Animalistic182
    Love the show
Recently started listening to the show and love it. Blake’s impersonation of hulk hogan in the latest episode sounds more like beetlejuice. Keep it up guys. Thanks. Also can’t wait to try the metaverse!

Great Guitar Podcast - very fun listen
I love Chasing Tone! Very witty and fun guitar/pedal talk podcast along with standard state of the music industry and funny quips to along. You won’t be disappointed with a listen. NOTE: I’ve seen some negative reviews because there isn’t a whole lot of teaching going on. This is not a tutorial on getting better Tone. If you want to learn how to mic an amp go to a service like Skill Share. Listen here for guitar fun.

These op-amps are makin’ me thirsty
An enjoyable hang with guitar geeks and circuit nerds.
  • _ill_mith
    Thanks for the awesome podcast!
(Regarding new fuzz ideas on this latest episode- I’d love an octave fuzz factory😅. Fy-6 Supefuzz/ibanez standard, with the extra sputtery chaos of the fuzz factory.. maybe with an additional octave up/Down)

    ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
I really like the show and that guy with the glasses is… so handsome

An essential guitar podcast, with humor for days
Imagine listening to a bunch of your friends talk about guitar with all of the normal off-topic wandering and goofing off you’d expect. That’s Chasing Tone in a nutshell. It never feels like you’re listening to a corporate review or a highly paced and sketched out show. It’s just an hour a week of a few guys talking about gear and whatever comes to mind. Great way to pass the time and nerd out, with a few good laughs guaranteed.

    New review
    A little nice thing!
  • DJ4265
    Too much nonsense
I subscribed to this channel hoping to learn about guitar tones. Maybe get a review of pedals, amps or guitars. These guys ramble about nonsense so much that you’re lucky if a 50 minute podcast has 10 minutes in it about guitars. It’s also annoying when they talk over each other. Maybe have two guys rambling on and interrupting each other rather than three. After trying to get through three episodes, I’m moving on.

    Great…SQUIRREL!!!!…show
This podcast has to be one of the BEST and most informative music based podcasts out. Yes, Travis “MAY” have “SQUIRREL!!!” moments at times, but it adds to the show. For a sound geek like myself. These three are the type of guys you’d like to sit down with a beer and exchange stories.

    Thank You
Thank you Brian, Richard and Blake for this weekly chat, it truly fills a void, is like looking forward to meet friends every week for a chat. Keep it up and alive!

    British dude ruins it
I really don’t know why, but I absolutely loved this podcast until the Brit showed up. I just genuinely do not enjoy the energy he brings to the table.

    WAMPLER!!!
Brian Wampler is the David Letterman of the pedal world! 😅👍🏻
  • JustinTime077
    No Context, Not Engaged
Listened to an episode. There’s potential here I want to think, but these guys talk in a way that excludes listeners. I didn’t feel like I was spoon fed context to what they were referring throughout the subjects they went into. I had no idea what they were on about. As a Rogan fan—he got me into podcasts—you never need to google what he’s talking about. Good luck guys. You seem cool enough. Hope to catch a better episode.

    Get it together
Great idea. But very very confusing and sometimes plain inaccurate info. They’re in goodwill for sure but lacks the ability to pass around the info. If interested in discussing my opinions I can do it in your podcast... here referring to the last gear terms one.

Great Show…..love the randomness of it all!
  • He Win
    Witty, down-to-earth, educational!
Brian and Blake offers their unique perspective on guitar gear, business, and fatherly sartorialism on Chasing Tone. The beauty of it lies in the guys’ ability to have an authentic conversation with each other.
  • crockett 145
    Fantastic, informative and real
    I can’t miss an episode.

    Great podcast Chasing Tone
Brian Wampler is such a refreshing and informative podcast about the pedal world of which he has been a designer and big influencer in. Thanks Brian thanks for being here for the musicians of all ages.

Entertaining and Informative - Highlight of my weekly commute!
With just the right amount of tech savvy discussion, technical advice, and humor, Brian Wampler of Wampler pedals has created an approachable resource for musicians regardless of ability level. Great show!

You’ve gotten this far, you must be thinking about it. Just do it, it’s great.

Chasing Tone - A Visit with Hayden Baker
Very cool interview. Lots of gear head tech talk yet fun banter and interesting stories.
  • scottyfathead
    Um
Would be great if you could get rid of Blake. All that stammering over his words is too much. Um um um
  • Millett138
    Great catalogue of topics
Love this show - Brian and Blake are one of the few banter-based shows I can listen to. I love their low-key, dad joke attitudes. The old episodes are great too. Tons of content! -Chris M.

Always look forward to new episodes
Always interesting perspective from Brian and Blake.

    New Listener
I’ve been following Brian Wampler for about a year on YouTube and have found his content very interesting, informative and inspirational. Now moving into the Chasing Tone podcast and really enjoying the insights on the guitar pedal industry as well as the rapid changes in the YouTube universe. Excellent stuff!

    Wandering in an interesting way
Interesting stream of conscience conversations that include or are related to guitar gear. A lot like the discussions I have with my gear head friends. Always some interesting information contained in the conversations.

A look behind the tone curtain
Been listening for years. Great mix of practical and technical knowledge bombs. Keep up the good work!

    My first Podcast following.
My wife’s co-worker sent me a link for chasing tone and I am hooked. I love the honesty, humor, characters, drama, nerdy information, these are real people that I can relate to. I have played in a band for ten years and I am still chasing my tone. As an electrical engineer I love hearing the details about all aspects of the signal chain and sound propagation. I may never be a good musician but my guitar sound will certainly benefit From listening to these guys! Thank you for your service. Sincerely Howard Shaw.

Loved the old show, not the new....
This used to be a very funny and informative show. I enjoyed Brian, Max and the guy with the good hair... they complemented each other well. Brian, although a very knowledgeable guy, is no comedian, it was better when he had Max and what’s his name be the comedy relieves. New guy, I am sure has a ton of knowledge, but he is no comedian either, so like many other programs that are information based but try to be funny all the time, unfortunately fail at both. I suggest pairing Brian up with a funny guy or two like Max or “hash brown come on?!” Guy, but having two guys like Brian is not working, sorry.
