    Is the podcast no longer?
No podcasts or updates for two months. Wondering if it’s no longer?

    Unlistenable.
Somewhere, someone convinced these folks their opinions, observations had value.Nothing could be less interesting .

    Entertaining and resourceful!
An eclectic lineup of topics and very informative on formal topics. Always a good laugh and never a dull moment with these two.

    So relatable.
At times I have laughed so hard that I slapped my knee. This is key. Love these two humans and this podcast makes me feel like i'm in that room with them!

    Great Podcast
First of all, these two are couple goals. I love the way they talk to and about one another. Second, this podcast makes me not dread my evening runs. It’s funny, upbeat, smart, and informative. Highly recommend!

    Commuters think I'm crazy.
I saw Scott Stratten speak at Inman Connect SF and was an instant fan. Because I'm new to the party, I've got many past episodes that are still new to me. Lately, I've been doing an hour commute, each way, about once per week. Maybe it's age, but now I enjoy talking on the stereo over music while driving. I live in happy Sonoma Valley and commuting to Marin is like visiting a foreign country. People are cranky on the 101! So, I must look like a complete freak driving down the freeway with the perma grin that Scott & Alison put on my face. They make me smile and maybe once in a while, that makes a Marinite smile. It's also good for doing the dishes. I hate doing the dishes. Why can't kids scrape their plates? Usually the kitchen takes one episode, and you know it's been a bad day if it takes two. But at least if the Unpodcast is on, I'm not alone with the spilt Cherrios and over-ripened compost pile.

30 ish minutes of pure entertainment
I save the Unpodcast for my drive home. At the end of the day I want something different. Yes, I want a show that that has good content, but I also want some humor. I want personality. Scott and Alison make that happen. Keep up the great work!

I stopped my run to write this review
I am standing on the shore of Lake Michigan to write this review. Listening to a recent episode on my morning run, I realized that I had never reviewed this show to which I have been listening literally since the first episode. I enjoy Scott and Allison's banter just as much as I enjoy the curated collection of stories they share each week. I've learned a lot from this podcast about best practices (well, more about worst practices) of online customer service and about the ways online business has changed and is likely to continue changing over time. It's just the right mix of fun and actionable advice that I have remained one of their 7 loyal listeners for years now. Thanks, guys. I'd love to buy you a cocktail and a deep dish pizza if you ever make it to Chicago.

Jargon free sarcastic marketing insights - fantastic!
Alison and Scott talk about companies the way I would to my friends. They just do it with microphones and an audience! I love the sarcasm, humor and insight these two offer up on customer service, marketing and sales. The Unpodcast isn't afraid to take on any company and any issue, to break it down to everyday speak rather than being burdened by jargon and ego.

I listen every week - awesome podcast!
I've been listening to podcasts for a number of years and I started listening to the Unpodcast in February of 2016 after hearing Scott speak at PubCon in Florida. I had a chance to briefly chat with him after his talk and he showed me that I could have a successful career in digital marketing not in spite of my dislike of marketing, but because of it. I orderd their books on Amazon (Unselling, Unmarketing, and QR Codes Kill Kittens) before I left the conference and they helped me stick with a career choice in marketing using my generally negative feelings about most of the advertising / marketing work in the industry and it has helped tremendously. Beyond having an outstanding balance of entertainment and information in their podcast, Scott and Alison are true to their word in that they engage their listeners/readers through social media. Looking forward to seeing Scott speak again and excited for them as they work on their upcoming film about public speaking.

    The crack of business podcasts
I tried out Unpodcast after listening to Scott on The Cliff Ravenscraft Show. I listen to a lot of entrepreneurial podcasts like Youpreneur, the Ray Edwards Show, etc (maybe 4-5 hours a week worth). These podcasts require you to have pen and paper on hand and have tons of actionable items packed into each episode. Thank God UnPodcast is not this type of program! Through hilarious conversation Scott and Allison share positive and negative stories from business culture. For me UnPodcast has plenty of aha! moments about running a business to keep me coming back. They are a great counter point to the other podcasts I listen to. They help me leave the behind all the details of running a business and focus on being a decent human being…cause really that is the base of what will keep your business going. It is easy to get caught up in the technical details of being on social media, writing a blog etc. UnPodcast helps you just relax a little bit. And maybe put in place some strict checks and double checks on who you’re emailing and what you’re about to post to social media. I listened to all the episodes in about 3 weeks and wrote this review after realizing it was Tuesday not Wednesday and NOOOOO!!! I have to wait one more day to listen to the next episode!!!

    Eavesdropping on Scott and Alison
I love listening to the UnPodcast, because it feels like I am a fly on the wall for a personal conversation between Scott and Alison. It's refreshing to hear the unfiltered takes, and their banter is fun to hear.

Scott and Alison: my two favorite Canadians.
I’ve been a long-time fan of Scott’s UnMarketing work, and for fans of that book (or books, really) this podcast is for you. If you’ve never read that book but love stories of when big businesses go bad (or awful) then this podcast is certainly for you. Scott and Alison are my two favorite Canadians (even more than Bret Hart, Chris Jericho, Neil Young and Shania Twain… well, maybe Chris Jericho might edge them out, but its so close!) anyway, after listening to the UnPodcast, they might be your favorite Canadians, too.

    Keeping it Real
To anyone in the media, marketing, or human world in general, this podcast has it all - human resources, business news, “tips and tricks,” and a lot of good discussion and opinion. Even if I find I’m not in agreement on someone’s viewpoint, it is, at the very least, great food for thought and forces me to consider all possible viewpoints/outcomes. I love this podcast!

    Awesome podcast
Awesome podcast by Scott and Alison. It is always a happy moment when I see my podcast app showing a new episode is available from the UNPODCAST. They inspired me to start my own (shameless plug following) the Sales Enablement Lab. UNPODCAST, highly recommend it!

    Entertaining + informative
If you want straight up business tips, this may not be the podcast for you. But if you like your podcasts with entertaining banter/rants, coverage of industry news, and frank discussions about what NOT to do when marketing or running a business, it'll be right up your alley.

    it’s actually pretty good
I’m work in marketing and sometimes can be late on finding some things out there. UnMarketing is one of those things. I heard Scott as a guest somewhere on the web and totally liked his whole style and approach to marketing. it’s straightforward,no-nonsense, and hardcore. I then bought his books, read them all, and then got into this podcast and listened to them all. It’s a good show, I wish he got a little more into some strategy and details, but its a fun show to listen to and worth the time. Allison is great too.

Wisdom wrapped up un a laugh
There is a fine line between Marketing and Advertising your business. We spend so much time focusing on advertising, we forget about the most important part in marketing, our people. I love Scott and Allison’s take because they help to remind me that marketing should as much about the people who represent us as it is the products or services we offer. I laugh when I hear about all the dumb things Brands do until I realize, “Crap, we’ve done that” Thanks for the gut check guys!

    Worth The Subscription
I have thoroughly enjoyed listening to this podcast with Scott and Alison. I listened to one of Scott’s speaking gigs on YouTube and then found he was doing a podcast. So after listening to one, I found myself taking more notes as I was when I watched his speech. So as I continued to listen to this podcast, I am constantly taking notes to use in the future plus I am able to enjoy their humor as well. Take their stories, other’s issues, and their advice and use it! Subscribe to this podcast.

    So much fun!
After seeing Scott and Alison speak at a conference, I was hooked. I love how casual and relatable they are when they talk about these subjects. Can’t wait to catch up on this podcast!

    UN-Paralleled
The bad reviews must be from people who are not interested in business, people who commit the atrocious acts that make it into the show or people who wish they had done this first. Scott and Alison deliver consistent material backed by decades of personal experience. As a marketing professional with not quite a decade of experience and the opportunities to work great companies I find the podcast insightful and funny as hell! And no I wasn’t paid to say any of this. As a matter of fact I had never even listened to the show before sitting in the audience of the live recording of the show at the Marketing United Conference in Nashville, TN. I’ve been binge listening ever since.

    From Fan #17
I’m an avid reader of the entire Unmarking suite of books, have engaged with Scott on Twitter and can only say he’s (and his wife) awesome! Great value, great sense of humor, and super awesome content all the time. As listener number 17, I’m proud to be one of the few regulars...

    Unpretentious and unborn get
Scott and Alison weave important marketing and business topics into witty banter. This is not a classroom, but within their anecdotes and stories are sound strategies and lessons many should be learning! At their core, Alison and Scott want to help people and that authentic sincerity comes through each Episode!

Intelligent and Funny. A Winning Combo!
These guys are SMART. There’s plenty of wisdom here on the subject of business, marketing, branding and serving your audience / community. Not only that but the conversations are also authentic and entertaining. Love the dynamic between Alison and Scott. Subscribe. You won’t regret it.
  • Gjcdc
    Absurdly off-topic
The podcast suffers from an extreme lack of focus. It's more of a dialogue between two people, with ideas loosely (very loosely) connected to the topic at hand. Look elsewhere for meaningful insight.

    Unlove = Right On!!
I found Scott on Twitter years ago. I found him and Allison just now while listening to Brene Brown. I thought... "What??? Scott? The Unmarketer dude?? ..sure enough it's MY Scott. Just like Gwyneth and Chris... I loved Coldplay long before she made an English Apple. Anyway... Fwd to civil separation (aka divorce)... I will now always listen to these podcasts of old and will sometimes listen to only old Coldplay albums. Unless Chris would like to unmarry me?? I'm sharing with these non-un-marketers/sales humanoids.

Found your Facebook through my boss and figured I would give your podcast a listen. You guys are just the perfect level of snark! Fan-freaking-tastic!

    UN-BENEFICIAL
A bit of good info but so spread out and buried between annoying banter that I can barely stand 10 minutes of this. Scott and Alison seem to think they’re drive time radio personalities trying to entertain you as you’re stuck in traffic. PLEASE trust me there are dozens of better podcasts on the topics covered here. I’m BAFFLED at the positive reviews. Friends and family, perhaps?
  • ShannonOlivia905
    Not Very Interesting
Maybe it was the two episodes I downloaded, but just coulnd't get into it. Seemed like it was dragging on without being very focused.

Great information provided in an entertaining way

    Bringing Humanity Back to Marketing
Scott and Alison are really fun to listen to and absolutely know marketing. The podcast can be a little unfocused at times, but that’s their style and the more they embrace it the funnier and more enjoyable it is. The fact that it isn’t rigid, monotonous or humorless are reasons I’m still listening. They practice what they preach, and continue to churn out great content that can revolutionize the way you think about marketing and branding for your company at absolutely no cost… You’ll see some people complain about the lengths of the episodes in the reviews, but the claims really are quiet idiotic and unfounded. At no point in the podcast did I ever feel like what they were saying was diluted; their points are thorough, strong and approach it in a casual and very humorous manner. I wish everything on the web or media based were this enjoyable and useful.

    They made me cry!
Really, I was pretty much in tears over the apple pie enema. Lol But seriously, great show, chemistry and content. Love it.

    A Step Beyond Marketing
The "Unpodcast" is constantly keeping my headphones at work. This podcast delivers tons of real life business analysis. With it's occasional trips up moron mountain along with other fitting humor, it keeps the podcast fresh and engaging. This is a great project that needs to continue!

    Great podcast
I love the content. Makes business and marketing accessible to me, who is finding marketing an important part of my career but never had the privilege to study. My only wish is they put the video format of the podcast onto iTunes as well as the audio only version.
  • General skinnyboot
    Nice.
5 stars for the "don't give a hoot" pun in episode 12. I also like how you don't tell Alison all the stories ahead of time. Keeps it feeling very real. Love her laugh too! Never stop podcasting.

    My New Favorite
I've only listened to one episode so far and this may be my new favorite podcast. Scott Stratten and Allison Kramer make a great duo and the banter between them is both relaxed, interesting and informative. If you own you're own business and want to make sure you don't fall into one of many major marketing traps, then this podcast is essential listening.

    Addicting
I found this podcast today and have been listening to it from podcast 1. Great job!
  • Mario2k4
Scott talks too much! Allison sounds great!
I only listen to the podcast to hear Allison 's voice, whatever she's selling I'm buying, Scott annoys me. Lol, joking aside I enjoy the banter of both of them. The stories on what brands do good and bad are great. I just wish the show was 55 min stories and 5 content. :-)
  • Micheal Yinger
    Informative and Entertaining!
Scott & Alison deliver the unmarketing message and keep it entertaining! No boring status quo lecturing from this pair. Keep them coming, great listening for my daily commute.
  • chriskleslie
    Finally!
Finally a marketing podcast that isn't boring and reminds me of being with a couple of friends having coffee. Where most marketing podcasts sound like a parent talking to their kid at a grocery store. You guys speak on a completely different plane. Thank You!
  • SGL
    Eh. Whatever
There was 5 minutes of great information spread across 50 minutes of stories about companies screwing up customer service requests. For example, did it really require 10 minutes to explain how hard it was to return a belt? We aren't idiots, you can tell us that we should focus on reducing the number of steps our customers are required to complete to get customer service and we will understand. And what about companies who do it really well? What about approaches we might not have considered that are effective, new and/or interesting?
  • PresleyMiller
    Awesome!
    Thank you for this one!!
