This is a well-produced and interesting podcast. I’d like to see a bit more information for truly new sailors, per the title. (Some of he racing-related episodes, for example, assume basic knowledge of how these events work and are way over the heads, I would guess, of people who are new to the sailing.) I’d like to see episodes focused on things like what 101 instructors see as their students’ biggest challenges, best practices for quickly overcoming these, common mistakes to avoid, and just generally more stuff about the path to mastery. (And Dan certainly has been covering this type of thing. One example is his story about heading out for a sail in suboptimal weather when almost nobody else was on the water.) But I’m looking forward to future episodes! Thanks for the podcast.
