Sam23356ObsessedAs a new therapist, I enjoy this podcast so much!!!! Have you guys done an episode for therapists?? Like imposter syndrome, your fave one-liners, overall struggles / wins of being therapists. Would absolutely love that!
-
John DoodleVERY long intros before getting to the actual topicExcellent advice on every episode I’ve listened to however my only complaint is that you have to fast forward 10-15 minutes into the episode before they actually even get to the topic of the episode. This last episode was 17 minutes into before they even got to the actual topic of the episode. The 15 minutes of small talk and ads that begin each episode almost make me want to stop following this show but then they finally get to the stuff you want to hear and they are soooo good!

LawMomma2ThreeSo insightful and thought provokingI’m so happy I heard about this podcast. I follow Shelby Sacco on the Tok and she recommended this podcast. Emily and Jen. They’re both informative and funny. I’ve already learned so much.

valiegirl26Helpful for my mental healthLove love love! So helpful, I’ve been listening for the past few years. I don’t go to therapy but listening to this podcast is something I consider part of my mental health routine. I love the variety of topics and way they approach them. Both hosts are knowledgeable and bring a fun energy to the interviews. They have a great dynamic and seem like two girls I’d love to be friends with!! It’s a nice balance between serious therapy topics and some light hearted chats. Sometimes I get emotional listening and other times I’m cracking up at a joke they made. I’m from the Philly area so I think that makes me feel even more connected. Thank you for everything 🫶🏻

RecentListenerEm and Jen are the best!I really love how they break down different topics and feel like they can read my mind. Because I’m going through something and then they make an episode about it! I think this podcast is super helpful and one of my favs! I heard them on OTV with Kaitlyn and had to make them a weekly listen!
-
MerBurnsMy weekly go-to!I look forward to listening to this podcast every week. It makes my Monday drive a little more bearable. Em and Jen spread their knowledge of therapy through relevant, everyday topics. One of the best podcasts out there! I always look forward to listening! 🤩

Vmu5005Breath of fresh air! This podcast is such a needed resource in the mental health space. Emmalee & Jen are sharing their expert wisdom without sounding preachy. The variety of topics they address, there’s BOUND to be an episode for you…and if not they take suggestions! I have been using this podcast as my “me time” each week, and sometimes even just the laughs I get from it are enough to keep me smiling! Their compassion and caring while sharing their own life experiences is so relatable and I just love listening to them.
-
L. CometBig Jen and Em FanThey cover so many different topics on this podcast that I can relate to in one way or another. Listening to them helps me self reflect and ask myself questions that bring some clarity to something I am struggling with. Also, they are hilarious and have the most adorable dynamic. 10/10 would recommend!

jkelly484848My fav podcast! As a new therapist, this podcast has served as a safe space where I am able to seek guidance, additional perspectives and laughter, tons of laughter. I am so grateful for these two and their authenticity. They keep it real and honest. It has truly been such a support to me as I navigate this journey as a new clinician. Side note- I listened to one of the older episodes the other day and I want to thank you for normalizing that puppies are as hard as new born babies🤣 i am a new dog mom to the best golden doodle pup and it has been an exhausting 2 months filled with many mixed emotions. So not only do they help me serve my clients but they help me serve me! Love this podcast and love what you guys stand for. Thank you x a million.
-
Emily from ATLSO helpful!!!This is my new FAVORITE podcast of all time!! So so helpful to go alongside therapy. I’ve replayed so many episodes because there’s so much information in each one! So validating!
-
jp1117I tune in Every week!Hi! First off, these ladies know how to have fun and they truly make everything relatable. I am a mental health clinician in NJ, and I love this podcast for a few reasons. If therapy isn’t something a person wants to go to, or cannot access, listening to this podcast will give a good amount of insight and helpful feedback in my opinion. Also, as a clinician, it’s so helpful for me to hear other mental health practitioners talk about therapy and therapeutic topics. Tune in and listen, I promise you’ll get something out of it!
-
TellyG❤️Life saverThis is one of the best conversations I’ve ever heard. Things make so much sense now I’m obsessed with it. I love both of their personalities and ways the explain why we do what we do….LOVE IT!

TAYNCAMPHELPFUL, INSIGHTFUL, VALIDATING; ETC.I am a clinical mental health counselor in training (just entered internship) and I can’t say enough positive things about this podcast. My sister is a school counselor and recommended it to me at the beginning of my grad program as she knew it would be helpful. This podcast has validated and helped me through each phase of my journey to being a counselor…and also as a human trying to grow in self-trust and compassion, as well as knowledge. I have recommended this podcast to most of my cohort in the program as I think becoming a counselor is such an intimidating, yet amazing process, and this podcast provides encouragement in those moments that are incredibly challenging. It has helped me to see that my best is when my most authentic self is showing up in the chair ((and)) in the life I walk; part of doing that is learning who I am and what I can do to grow. In order to grow yourself, you have to know yourself, right? ;) highly recommend!
-
SarahK3407Well worth the listenI’ve never actually reviewed a podcast and I listen to a ton of them but this one deserves it. These ladies are hilarious and relatable while also providing the most helpful information and content! They know their stuff and use good resources and personal experiences to back their info. This podcast is perfect for anyone looking to grow in their mental health journey, future/current therapists, or anyone looking for more information on a specific mental health topic!
-
LaTeoliMorning RoutineMy Monday morning commute is better because I know there will be a new episode to listen to! I am pretty sure I have told everyone person I know to listen & am forever sharing tid-bits of info from the show. These ladies are real, down to earth and super funny. Give it a try & you might love it like I do!
-
mweso915Laughing while I grow myselfI started listening to this podcast within the last month or two as something to listen to on my commute to work. It has been so helpful for me, and allows me to reflect on myself and things I can do to grow. The ladies and guests on the show also provide a healthy dose of humor/laughing on many of the episodes. I highly recommend this podcast.
-

LovinggjgMy favorite PodcastThis podcast has helped me on my own mental health journey but has also helped me as I’m an emerging mental health counselor in this field. I am able to show up for myself with more kindness and love and in return am able to do that for those in my life. Every single week I learn something new and find myself applying it almost immediately. Not to mention you’re easy to listen to and funny!!! It’s a mix of all of my favorite things. I want to be your best friends and colleague. Thank you for making mental health more accessible and for showing up for your audience each episode so beautifully authentic. Thank you!!!

AdriSimanAlways worth a listen!Em and Jen walk us through the various complex mental health subjects in such a personable, hilarious, informative and approachable way. It has completely changed my approach on how I manage my mental health journey. Since I first started listening, I’ve become a client of the Therapy Group and have fallen in love with my therapist. The podcast is such a terrific platform to feel heard/seen as well as understand concepts (that are often not talked about) in a straightforward way. I absolutely love this show and hope they continue forever! No pressure, girls! :)
-
Powerflower+Be prepared to laugh and also learn somethingI love how they make therapeutic topics so relatable. They make you think about things from a new perspective, and give tips all while making you laugh. I already told all my friends to listen to them so now I will tell the internet to also :)
-
MarciKennellMy go to weekly podcastI start my week with Em and Jen every week! This podcast is so relatable, funny, and consistent (which is nice for my anxiety lol). The topics for each episode are relatable, the overall vibe is very laid back and you also get some really great info. As a fellow therapist it makes the world of owning a private practice feel manageable while being imperfect beings! I appreciate this show and these ladies so much! Such a great resource for anyone interested in mental health and especially other therapists!!
-
arianna madeline1000% recommendIf you aren’t listening to the shrinkchick’s podcast, you’re missing out! This has been my go-to podcast for when I’m driving, cleaning, or working out. They are funny and relatable while also discussing important topics and bringing new insight. I started listening in 2020 and have been avid subscriber ever since. As a baby therapist, Emmalee and Jenn are both therapists I look up to and love tuning into every week.
-

herbasamanthaHelpful!!I recently was going to therapy but couldn’t finish what i started, this podcast has touched on some of the work i need to do on myself and brang a lot of self awareness on subjects i talked with my therapist about. Love this podcast!!
-
em_tayyyySuper helpful! My therapist told me about this podcast back in 2021 as she thought I would like it. She was right (per usual) and I have been listening to it regularly ever since! Some of the episodes have been very helpful to use as a staring point for talking about hard topics in therapy. Emmalee and Jen are funny and break down complex topics so they are easier to understand. Love it!
-
annie.m.aVery relatableSomething about the way these ladies share info is just soothing and wise.
-
UnchartedcareersLearned so much through this podcastI found my own therapist that I’ve been working with for almost two years now through this podcast. I’ve learned so much from these conversations and share episodes with friends and family that are relevant to what they’re going through. The hosts give great perspective and such helpful tips.
-
gourdmansShriek ChicksThis is the best example of a podcast you want to listen to but just can’t. Should be called shriek chicks. The microphones or environment needs to be changed, it literally hurts my ears. One person’s voice sounds like they are in a carpeted closet and the other sounds like they are in a bathroom with no furniture eating the microphone. Like turn down the crispness???? Try listening to it yourselves and adjust before making us deal with it??? Still rating 4 stars bc it’s mean to bring you down just bc you need to learn what you’re doing. But I won’t be listening anymore *peace*
-
Kussie23EmpoweringI love you both so much! Thank you Em and Jen for helping me get through so many experiences and seasons in life. Forever rooting for your success and happiness.
-
jmbowowI am Jen and want to be EmLove ya’ll. Binging for the last few weeks and almost completely caught up. Grateful for the honesty and what you have added to my own growth. Feel like I am a Jen but have always wanted to be an Em (and/or have that BFF).
-
jari LuvyourmadnessThe perfect podcasts doesn’t exi…..YES IT DOES! And this is it. I like to listen to podcasts to laugh but I also reach a point where my brains like “hey can we listen to something educational this time?” I’m so freakin happy I found you! Your podcast is a mix of education and laughs all at the same time. You two are everything I never knew I needed to flow through my ears.
-
laurenoftheshireNew favorite podcast!I just discovered the Shrink Chicks from when they were guests on Dr. Z's podcast and since then I have been listening to their episodes non-stop starting from season one! Every episode provides something I can apply to my life in a relatable way. I feel like I'm hanging out with two knowledgeable friends on the way home on my commute now! I can't recommend this podcast enough!!
-

-
Nikky RhodesLook forward to this weekly!!!The podcast makes me laugh out loud. Also so many great topics that are spot on in my life. And I LOVE Emily’s eastern accent and all the “F” bombs😁😁
-
Elizabeth in AlaskaAlmost amazing but too annoyingThis podcast would be high quality if the east coast accented host would stop interrupting and talking over the other host. The east coast host talks 4x as much as the other one and it is very annoying. Had to turn it off.
-
Billymad2017First time listener“When strangers become family” was such a wonderful wild and loved filled ride!! peperashLove the content, audio is not greatYou guys have such amazing episodes. But your audio is so inconsistent. It’s either super quiet or yelling in your ears. And the two hosts audio is so different.
