Not long ago my favorite pod but since went recorded and John’s lost edginess (full support of course to him… nothing but admiration) there’s no longer any spark or edginess. Plus it’s increasingly preachy. Not long for the dust I sense

There’s no reason why I should like these two bozos. And yet I do. Very much so.

My podcast obsessions come and go, but John and Elis — and Dave! — continue to fascinate and entertain year after year.

Followed them since the old place, and whatever format their show takes I wouldn’t miss it. Just lovely humans, relatable in all life things wonderful and challenging.

They really are the very very best. New lucrative contract methinks!

These guys are a great team, making every subject funny and finding humor in silly, off the wall topics. No praise too great for this podcast!

Fridays and Tuesdays are made better when listening to Eli’s, John and Dave. Whether it’s their very balanced intros, the shame well or random musings, give it a listen. You won’t be disappointed.

Twice a week you get to hear from the youngest and most relevant voices in the UK, and one of the more superb Daves.

The 3 have the best chemistry together and I love all of their features - especially made up games!

I wish this was a daily podcast. These three are so enjoyable. Such a fun and positive listen.

I’ve been listening to E&J since 2014. Their podcasts have made me a better person. John’s candor about his mental health helped me address my own. Elis’ love of Wales has made me support them in international football and discover several excellent musicians. Dave is also an absolute legend. 10/10

Longtime pcd; love these boys

I’m a 59 year-old from California. Perhaps not their main demographic, but I’ve focused on comedy from the UK for over 40 years and these 2 are among the best. I honestly do not want to think about what it would have been like going through the the last 4 years that include the pandemic without them. Producer Dave is super as well. Laughs range from gentle smiles to raucous belly laughs. Do give this podcast a go.

Hey there, I would like to say as a part of my 5 star review.... is that I began listening reluctantly after hearing E&J’s promos on BBC 5 live. I live in California, am a stylish 50 something , so am I the demographic? I thought not at first, but I am now such a huge fan that I am ready to buy gig tickets and fly over to watch them perform anywhere in UK. What makes them so unique and hilarious is that the content isn’t age specific but finds the humor in the mundane, the personal, the humiliating and all the rest of the oddity that is human consciousness. Thanks guys and Dave too.

Ellis and John have kept their content relatable for a younger demographic to satisfy all of the stakeholders within Radio 5 live. In doing so they have shown that they can adapt to the strategic challenges of public sector FM radio.
