    SPLAINERS gonna SPLAIN
To Aeric and the Geekspained Posse, 5 STARS 5 STARS 5 STARS 5 STARS!!!!! First, thank you for getting me through the high, the low times, and everything in between. It has been a godsend of song and dance, hot takes, and humor. I stumbled upon this podcast and listened to Aeric give a pitch (what up pitches?) I quickly listened to Aeric and Matt Draper discuss their favorite DD stories (part 1), Top 7 Crime Stories, Cap stories, and Miles stories. All of these were very well thought out and informative. Most of the initial podcasts I listened to were Aeric-centric (typical Leo) When I began listening to the Book Club with Malcolm and Jacob the show took off for me. The sense of camaraderie is evident and not faked for the airwaves. There are lots of valid opinions and thought-provoking content. Their passion for comics, music, theater, and all things GEEKery shines through like a SPLAINERS beacon! Having crossovers with Comics Collective and Cerebro cemented my love for this show! Finally, the recent FOX-Men rewatch/recaps with AJ and Chris are excellent! Lots of good ideas about the cinematic presentation of Marvel's Merry Mutants that hit or often misfired. (As a comic book fan from the 70s/80s I was just grateful to have so much content with characters that I grew up reading) Just wanted to drop a line to express my love and gratitude for all of your hard work and dedication. Keep it up, I promise it is appreciated! Until next I hear your dulcet tones, MAKE MINE GEEKSPLAINED! Be Exceedingly Well, Eburonson

I Love this Podcast So Much!
One of my most anticipated podcasts each week because of the Book Club. It’s fun reliving these stories with the guys and remembering how fun comics could be. Highly recommended!!

    Great Book Club!
Revisiting runs I loved in high school. The guys know their stuff. Maybe definitely walk on egg shells if you’re a guest but I’m finally starting to understand who the “put a chick in it and make her gay” writing is for (generational misunderstanding)

A podcast for geeks by geek(s) in the best way!
You’re doing great! Talking comics is one of life’s great joys. The comic medium holds a special spot in my heart as it tells stories makes metaphors and helps us dyslexic folk digest tales. It does thing like nothing else can! This show honors the comics and highlights them for how amazing they are. “Some real good comic booking” might be the best explaintion on a page ever. Thank you for the show, making the drive and daily tasks easier. Fun and laughs with the book club AND all the episode. Thanks for letting us listen in every week!

    Excellent Comics Podcast!
This is a very fun, enjoyable comics related podcast! Aeric is very knowledgeable and always chooses very compelling, relevant topics for his Wednesday shows (such as his focus on indie books this past December and his X-Men focus in another month). I also love the Friday book club episodes that Aeric does with his friends Jacob and Malcolm. The three of them read through long runs of comics (such as Invincible or Grant Morrison’s Batman run) one volume at a time and have great, insightful and funny discussions. It’s been fun to read along with them. Highly recommended!

    Greatest Bookclub in the Multiverse
This Podcast is amazing. From educational thought provoking main feed episodes to the hilarious and sometimes unhinged bookclub to even well crafted therories on the future of international espionage Aeric has created what might be seen as a ….. closed loop of entertainment…. No wait I can see it clearer now it’s … a circle. A circle of life….and Death. OH GODS IT’s THE HOLE IN THINGS. Run! (Que Jacob’s goblin laugh).

    The Best Comics Podcast? Probably
If you haven't listened to this show, you should! It is a great intro to comics, their worlds, their creators and the behind the scenes of why and how comic stories are told the way they are. Aeric and his co-hosts for the book club have unique and personal insights and funny tangents that are sometimes just as interesting (if not more so!) than the topic being covered that week. It's also a very postive show so if you are already a fan of comics and are looking for an outlet to share that love, you are in the right place. To Aeric: I know you read 5-star reviews on the pod; you may want to save this next bit for the Friday show. This is me Nylan Dall, no relation to anyone else who has recommended Task Force Z on the pod before, making it at least 3 people who have recommended and meaning you are now obligated to read it during Geektober 2023. To make this legally binding, please read the following on air, with witnesses on the call: "I, Aeric Azana, of sound mind and body, promise to read Task Force Z during Geektober 2023. Following this, I also promise to watch each and every single episode of my favorite DC produced product ever: Gotham Knights by the CW. As part of this promise, I will spend at least 3 hours per episode of the show discussing how much I love it. I have not a single criticism for God's gift to DC fans. I think it is better than the entirety of Mark Waid's contributions to DC comics, and you can quote me on the season one box set with that."

    Great Geekery!
100% worth the listen. It's refreshing to hear the perfect storm of passion for superheroes, comic and more from someone who ACTUALLY knows what they are talking about. Highly recommend.

Aeric is my go-to guy for comics!
Whenever I’m listening to this podcast, it always makes me want to jump into whatever comic books he’s talking about! I enjoy his reviews, news, and especially his special “Pitch It” segments. Definitely worth a listen. Wonderful guy with a wonderful podcast! He knows his stuff, and he has even helped me find comics that I specifically would be interested in and has never disappointed!

    Invincible podcasts are great!
Big Invincible fan and your book club has been a lot of fun to listen to.

    One of my favorite podcasts!
OK, full disclosure, I’m his dad. I was one of the influencers that got him started on this comic book journey which led here. I knew him before he became this incredible omnibus of comic book info. And it has been amazing watching his progression from mild-mannered comic book nerd, to full-fledged, card-carrying, walking encyclopedia that can geeksplain anything in the vast multi verses of entertainment. Proud of your achievement, looking forward to what’s next, and just enjoying the ride. Great job kiddo!
  • Amazing spider fan!
    Sooooooo gooooooood!
You should definitely listen to this guy! His podcast is just grrrrrrrrrrrrreat! (And he likes cyclops! Which makes him and the podcast even AWESOMER!)

Listening to this podcast always feels like I’m chatting with a good friend!
It’s always a great day when I can find such a positive voice in the world of Geekdom. Aeric creates such a welcoming space with his podcast, that sometimes I even find myself responding to his points out loud when I’m alone because it feels like I’m having a nice conversation with a good friend. He deserves the praise for all the hard work he puts into this podcast to make it special and as great as it can be every single week. I’m only a recent convert to listening, but I’m now a regular and I don’t see myself going anywhere anytime soon. -Bryan

    Love the podcast
But they need to put some respect on the Aquaman movie. It’s art. High art. A diamond in the rough that is the DCEU. Good pod though.

Chock Full of Heart and Geeky Charm
Whether you’re a newcomer or a longtime fan of geek culture, I can’t recommend this podcast enough. Aeric gives every segment an incredible enthusiasm and performative flair, whether it’s spotlighting a subject that’s close to his heart or recapping the weekly news. Some personal favorites are Aeric’s retrospective on Fraction and Aja’s Hawkeye and the spectacular “Darecember” specials with Matt Draper.

Brimming with positivity and insight, Geeksplained is the perfect guided tour through the many worlds of geek culture.

    In a word - amazing
When I tune in each week, I know that all will be well. Host Aeric Azana expertly discusses a topic that’s close to his heart, rounds up the news stories he’s excited to share; reviewing the current hot show & recommending listeners comics to pick up. The main course of the episode can range from comics to video games & everything in between with an occasional guest for Giant Sized or special episodes. Even if I’m not familiar with the topics, since Aeric & his guests are passionate about it. These alone would make for any good podcast, but what truly makes Geeksplained exceptional & my favorite podcast is that Aeric isn’t afraid to share his emotions with listeners; he’s an open book & it makes him able to connect with listeners all the better for it. Even when he shares his vulnerability, his positivity shines. Aeric is an absolute force for good in this community & someone we could all stand to emulate even just a little bit. I cannot recommend this podcast enough or put into words how much this show means to me.

A Pop Culture Podcast That’s Got It All
Aeric’s a fantastic host who’s able to give you everything from an entertaining rundown of the news to an in-depth journey through a comic series. Even when I don’t have a personal connection to the subject, I still have a great time because this podcast is a lovely blend of heady analysis and warm comfort food.

    Great Content!
Found Aeric thanks to Matt Draper... love this guy’s content, don’t agree with him on Rise of Skywalker, but even so his opinions on other comic book and movie properties come off as well informed and insightful. Really enjoyed his Pitch It for Spider-man... but that’s enough praise for now, definitely a great listen for anyone somewhat interested in superheroes or comics in general.
