One of my favorite movie pods! Found the hosts through Letterboxd and glad that I started listening. The Patreon price is a little steep, but they release four 2-3 (sometimes 5!) hour episodes that are in depth and covering new movies, classics, and older gems. It’s always enjoyable to watch the movies and listen afterwards, regardless of the level of sleaze. Highly recommended.

Great content and hosts, but a majority of their good stuff is behind their Patreon paywall that costs more than some streaming services.

Sleaze kings. An excellent film review podcast that closely review and recap loads of genre and lowbrow gems in double bills, providing just the right amount of context and comparative perspectives.

Their episodes are so in depth and informative, these guys definitely know their stuff. And their picks are a perfect blend of more popular and more obscure films. Would definitely recommend, even though I’m constantly trying to keep up with what they’re watching

Great podcast about cult movies. I’m mostly interested in horror movies and these guys do a pretty good job breaking down movies in an entertaining and positive way. I am so glad I finally found a podcast that isn’t negative and overly nitpicking every detail. One small complaint…these guys are a little younger and don’t seem to be familiar with cult and horror icons. Big names like John Saxon, Tom Atkins, Adrienne Barbeau, and Donald Pleasence. That’s just crazy to me. I wish they’d do more research on the actors a little more and have more knowledge of their work. I do love their appreciation of Wes Craven because he is my personal favorite director. All in all, great podcast. I highly recommend

I so appreciate it when podcast hosts have a lot knowledge and stick to the topic at hand. These hosts are great, detail oriented and insightful. This podcast has great in depth analysis of film along with interesting tidbits about production.

Smart, interesting and non-stuffy analysis of genre filmmaking. It will definitely introduce you to some movies you’ll love.

But Josh really needs to let his co-host and guests talk more. Although he does it well, he gets into elevated film bro filibustering mode way too often, which makes for more of a monologue as opposed to an actual dialogue, let alone a conversation, about interesting films.

The best podcast I’ve found for really in-depth discussions about all kinds of genre cinema. Horror, action, exploitation, monster flicks, noirs - if it’s been relegated to “genre” status in pop culture, the boys have probably covered it. Great for hearing about your favorites and for finding cool new stuff. Really fun, unpretentious discussions that are accessible to weathered cinephiles and toe-dippers alike. Josh and Jamie are never afraid to dive deep, but the conversations are always engaging, never stilted or reliant on rapid fire name-dropping. They’ve had a stock of cool guests too. If you dig the free shows, the Patreon is worth a look too, the bonus eps about new movies are fun now that there’s been some interesting stuff coming out. Best movie show out there!!!

I pretty much exclusively listen to film podcasts and I’ve found that I’ve stopped listening to a number of them recently and I’ve been looking for more. I was looking for reviews of Slumber Party Massacre and found Sleazoids. I’ve now listened to a bunch of episodes and I’m loving the show!

Josh and Jamie are my favorite people to listen to talk about movies. They have unique and interesting perspectives. The show always has the best guests too.

Love the spooktober episodes

The perfect pandemic podcast for genre/sleaze/exploitation fans! I got into this a little over a month ago and I’m already obsessed! It’s like fireside chats with Josh and Jamie (the realest homies) with plenty of insight, laughs, and hot topics. I clearly can’t recommend this enough!

If I had to hear these idiots attempt to piece together any more sentences while squeezing in “like” every fifth word as punctuation, I was going to cut my own ears off. This was torture and I reflect on the minutes of my life that I wasted listening to them, moments I will never get back. Thanks for nothing.

There are probably hundreds of podcasts devoted to genre films. This one doesn’t hit the mark because I don’t believe the hosts are actually all that interested or invested in doing the deeply demanding work of investing time in each film to bring a unique point of view to the audience. Arguing genre classification is definitely for squares, but to slap ‘Slasher’ on the greatest genre movie of all time is lazy and misinformed.

I just got into this, and I am quite the fan. Started at the beginning and hope to be caught up pretty soon. Josh and Jamie are fun and insightful. I also enjoyed the cat in that one ep. love me some genre films and discourse.
