Grizzpaul11Lack of discernmentI like that this resource analyzes movies from a Christian perspective and can be useful in making decisions on what is appropriate to let children watch. However, I feel there is a lack of discernment as some movies should be clearly inappropriate for even adults. This was particularly troubling in the plugged in awards episode. The show started with the hosts recommending movies that almost entirely should be thought to be unwise to watch even for the purpose of review. There certainly should be other morally sound movies to recommend that weren’t finalists for the main categories.

Logan HargroveFun!Love it! It’s fun to listen to(especially the game at the end of every episode) the plugged in team are funny heart warming and give great reviews on movies not just for overall goodness but also for problems that you might be surprised by. When I listened to there review about the movie lightyear I was surprised that inclusive world views and relationships were a big part of that. So I highly recommend thier show, bonus, it’s by focus on the family who are creators of odyssey. So keep putting the good stuff guys.

Anna S.L.So in depth—awesome extensive to the web reviewsGrew up reading the online Plugged In reviews and respected their thoroughness and balance. Thought I’d try the podcast and started with Ep 249. This show is completely beyond—these guys really dive into the reeds with their reviews and show great care for God’s truth and the medium of film. I would definitely not watch a movie without listening to their review first. Thanks for the hard work and trustworthy insight.

Ashtyn KellyWOW LOVE THIS PODCAST!Me, i’m homeschooled, but i love movies and for the longest time i wondered about how i should go about watching movies with content issues, especially spiritual issues, and this really clarifies EVERYTHING I NEED TO KNOW! You also talk about worldview issues and different artists and songs which also helps!! I would love to be mentioned in an episode!

LifelonglearnerFNTPEntertaining & Digging Deeper!Listening to this podcast has shown me how much I enjoy sharing media experiences with family! As an older sister to adopted siblings, the insights from Plugged In help me find ways to talk about the things that matter to them. I appreciate how the hosts avoid simple ‘good’ or ‘bad’ labels and instead use movies as a starting point for deeper conversations.

Frank HonessLoved it!!!Thank you all for doing this podcast. I really loved the most recent episode about the Olympics & the Deadpool movie. Great information, helpful perspectives, and fun humor in your show! Can’t wait for the next episode!!

GizmoGirl03So helpfulBeing a busy mom, I don’t always have time to review content that my son is exposed to. This podcast is a very start, funny, and trustworthy source to help we with guiding my son in technology and culture.
-
misty phillipAnother great Focus on the Family show! Thanks for the information in this show to help parents navigate media choices and cultures to make wise decisions for the family!

Nate RootedHelpful? Yes. Authentic? MaybeSoft-spoken, “spiritual” voices giving good social commentary. Like a good Christian worldview looking at culture, it’s a mixed bag. I appreciate the commentary and discussions for wisdom, but the suburban Christianity is very much so a mega church, Bible Belt niche.

The one nerd to rule them allBest podcast of all timeThis podcast is basically a bunch of awesome Christian nerds. I love this podcast cause it for make feel like I’m the only Christian nerd out there. I love fantasy and they really help find what is good and pure in the fantasy genre!

Ramen RileyyyyAmazing podcast fun!I love this podcast because you never know how much bad stuff in a movie show or music or games and it’s great to listen to this. 1000000/10

hopelessteenPlugged inThis show is so good because I am a fan of movies and a huge fan of Jesus. Because we really need more of Jesus in this world. I’m in the youth group at my church and we have discovered that God is so, so good and he can really do all things. You should listen to this podcast because it has led me closer to Jesus and it just might lead you more towards Jesus as well.

TatumvilleA+ podcast for Christians concerned about HollywoodIf you are a Christian who is concerned about what Hollywood produces — and you are searching for alternatives — this is the podcast for you. It helps you think about entertainment from a Christian worldview. Highly recommended.

EgyptboundIt’s like being in the office with themI happened upon this podcasts when I saw the title of two movies I was interested in and had to not only read their reviews, but had to hear their thoughts. They are very insightful and aware that they are speaking to many different people with different backgrounds and values. Their website has always been a resource I use often, now this podcast will just add extra toppings on that website. Also enjoying all of the guests as they each add fun to each episode.

Yvette and NickWow, What a Find!!I’m so happy I found this podcast. PluggedIn is my go-to for honest Christian movie and book reviews. How wonderful to now be able to hear genuine Christian commentary on the latest movies!

KZigsSetting the bar high is a good thing! With technology changing at a rapid pace and social media overtaking our every waking minute, knowing I can pull up Plugged In online and research a title puts my mind at ease. Listening to the podcast and Getty in a good laugh always helps, too. I enjoy the comradery of the group and the banter that goes on between them 😊 I’d love to see an episode of the team reviewing the group Dude Perfect because these fine gentlemen deserve it. My husband and two sons (ages 8 and 6) recently went to one of their live shows at the Wells Fargo Center here in Philly where we live and they ended their concert with a prayer and talked about how their belief in God is very important to them! With the attention of thousands of young boys and moms in the audience, what a positive impact I think they made! Please talk about them on a podcast. I think it would be beneficial. Please keep doing what you do 💕 it’s important.

DaxxaroThank you for your ministryThank you for your ministry! You helped us in a big way in deciding what movies to watch and which ones to stay away from. One example of how you helped us. My wife and I wanted to go watch the second Jumanji movie: The next level. We loved the first one, but when we say how much language was in it; much more then the first one. We decided not to go see it. On a funny note; I always get a chuckle in some of your reviews. That under sexual content it simply says, “Guy takes his shirt off.” I always smile and tell my wife and she laughs as well

KEA2004A Go-To for ParentsI enjoy this Podcast and the insights provided by the staff! Some episodes I don’t resonate with or find applicable but the majority I do gain good, usable info. I always enjoy listening to the opinions and interactions regardless of topic, though!
-
a random name 😀I Am A Huge Fan of PluggedInThey usually will catch content concerns that are anti-Christian [a few times things slip through, so be sure to use other sources (as supplements, not substitutes) such as Christian Answers’ Spotlight on Entertainment (the main reviews and comments)]. They definitely are better than 99% of other media sources. In fact, when I found out that Common Sense Media was agenda-driven, I switched to PluggedIn. Also, I loved the “Focuses on the Family” joke on episode 69.5, I laughed so hard. This is a solid podcast.
-
englishdocFun and InformativeI love the interaction among the PluggedIn team podcasters. Quite an enjoyable listen. Please keep up the icebreaker questions! And of course I can find out more about what’s currently out there in the entertainment world, especially when there might be concerns to navigate.
-
KJLovesJesusThe latest and greatestI love the information that the Plugged In team provides. I’m bad about keeping up with the latest and greatest and I’ve never been much of a TV watcher anyway. It’s good to know what my husband and boys are potentially being exposed to on a regular basis. Thank you for what you do!!
-
RDK Sr.Thought-ProvokingI like the way the hosts discuss the topics. It gives me a better perspective and helps me engage with my family about our entertainment choices.
-
LagunaGirl78Fun & informative!A fun group of people, various ages and genders, with great insight into media and the sometimes-subtle messages therein.
