    Great fitness education
    Love this show

Great info gathered from science and experience
I really enjoy this show. I’ve been in the fitness realm for quite a while but I still have learned a lot from this podcast, and appreciate Tom’s perspective and science-based approach. Most of all I enjoy listening to how passionately he speaks about health and fitness. LOVE that he provides the actual peer-reviewed scientific references and reads from and interprets those articles. That is so important to me. And I appreciate that he values scientific, anecdotal and personal experience as a whole approach. Most fitness podcasts are for super specific sub-populations (usually bodybuilders), but this one is for everyone, especially the average joe!

You are awesome Tom!!! We need you back ASAP!
If you are looking for great health, Tom will lead you there. Awesome doesn’t even come close to describing Tom or his podcasts and books. He’s a national treasure!

    Where are new episodes
Love this podcast. I haven’t seen a new episode since middle of May 2022. I hope everything is ok.

    Love this guy.

Most ads I’ve ever heard on a podcast
The information this guy shares is solid. That said, most of his episodes could be about 10 minutes long and have the same amount of information if he didn’t just repeat himself over and over again. There are also an ungodly number of ads. I don’t typically mind ads, and I understand they’re necessary for podcasts to make some income. But this show feels like equal parts ads and content. Already had two commercial breaks on the current episode and I’m 7 minutes in.

    Keep to the Science
It’s great when he keeps to the science. When he goes off on his self-righteous rants that’s when I turn it off.

Enjoy . Appreciate your time. Keeping it simple. Gives us legit info. I agree, repetitive during podcast, extra extra commentary. Otherwise, I trust with my health, enjoy listening

    Tom’s Medicine Balls!
I don’t understand the reviewers that say Tom only wants to talk about himself and how he rants too much. I love this guy. His episode on Medicine Balls was incredible and he barely talked about himself just his medicine balls and how often he works with them. Love the dedication Tom! Love!
I love this show, Tom is so enthusiastic about his work, and I love that it’s scientific, my favorite fitness podcast

Is BMI a good indication of healthy weight?
Tom, First, you’ve personally helped me more than anyone or anything else to be more active. I am 5 ft 8 inches and currently 190 pounds. I can’t seem to get below 180 pounds, and yes there is a lot of fan, but I do feel pretty good at that weight. The problem is according to BMI I am borderline obese. Is there a different way to know if I am actually at a healthy weight aside from BMI?

Extremely boring , goes on and on about himself a lot.

    Great practical advice 👍
I love to listen to the show when I’m on my elliptical. It helps me focus on my health and keeps me motivated. Love it.

Solid painfully simple advice, and it’s about time!
So, I hate exercise in the traditional sense. I’m don’t play sports and the gym is obnoxiously boring. Tom talks a lot about how we need to get out of the mindset that going to the gym is the only way to exercise. With body weight exercises, dumbbells, or a huge pice of exercise equipment we can all stay fit and healthy at home. This can be done with zero to unlimited budgets. His at-home focus is particularly nice to hear in the era of COVID-19. Beyond all of that Tom offers a no-nonsense approach to health and fitness. He debunks fad dieting, Instagram/celebrity fitness divas and much more with science, experience and enthusiasm.

    No non sense info
No filler, all killer info on health, nutrition and exercise. Also, he sounds like Jason Mantzoukas (The League, Brooklyn Nine-Nine). So it’s like getting info from Jason Mantzoukas.
  • nikimouse123
    Loved to hear himself talk
I appreciate the information and knowledge he shares. So much that I wish he’d stick to the topic. He has a bad habit of repeating himself over and over, and making a lot of unnecessary side comments (that go on too long). We’re busy people, and few of us have the patience or expendable time to listen to a 60 minute podcast with 20 minutes of information. The episodes could be cut in half if he would stick to a script instead of ranting and repeating himself. Just the facts, please.

Tom hits all the right stuff!
Tom’s direct knowledge advice is motivating. I’m always waiting to hear the next topic. I definitely benefit from hearing the basics that all athletes need to have reinforced, again and again, to stay healthy, be productive and keep doing what they love! Thanks Tom you’re the best! Wonderful resource
I stumbled on this podcast after Tom was interviewed on Brock Turner’s (I think) and it has been life changing. I’m planning to use it in my college science writing courses in the spring to show students how to communicate peer reviewed research to lay-audiences. I love how Tom doesn’t sugar-coat and tells us what the science/research shows, and what it looks like in practice. Thank you!

In love with the David Garcia episode
I consider myself a relatively fit person, but I always love learning new fit tips and hearing success stories. But I have to say, this last episode with David Garcia is the best one yet. So many raw emotions. Showing the world that you are struggling is not only brave, but it will empower so many other people.

    Clear, Concise and Real!
Fitness Disrupted has quickly become one of my go-to podcast - I appreciate the variety of episodes, the super practical takeaways and sincerity that Tom pours into every guest. Beyond grateful for the impact Tom’s had on thousands of lives and for his generosity in sharing a lifetime's worth of knowledge here... for free :)
  • Rydog43068
    Life changing! I’m hooked.
I first learned about Tom by doing the “Supreme 90 Day” DVD workouts. That was 7-8 years ago. Once I learned he did a podcast about fitness, I knew I had to take a listen. And man, it’s a game changer! No longer do I have to sift through the questionable “expert advice” online. Tom tells it how it is with his RWS (real world stuff) with everything you need to know about fitness: nutrition, exercise, habits, mindset, etc. I’m the most into fitness as I’ve ever been and use Tom’s points and advice every day. If you’re looking for a fitness podcast to listen to and don’t know which one (there’s A LOT out there), just subscribe to this one. It’s all you need! Press play, and enjoy. Thanks Tom! I can’t wait to listen to the podcast on multi-vitamins...what’s the deal with those anyway?

    Great show
Tom is great at presenting the information and his experience in a way that is really useful and applicable to everyday life. The titles are clickbaity, but the content is solid.

    Common sense approach works!
Love the blend of science, past experience and common sense. This is by far the most applicable exercise podcast I’ve come across.

    He Lost Me
I just found the podcast and appreciate his certifications and experience. I appreciate how “worked up” he gets about exercise, though I agree with others his rants are too much for the published podcast. He lost me when I listened to the Peloton episode. He seems to have missed the point completely about some people’s frustration with the implicit messaging of the commercial. And while I appreciate that he waited two weeks before sharing how “worked up” he is about the commercial, I don’t need him to mansplain to me why it is wrong for me to be “worked up” about the commercial. So I pass on listening to him anymore.

    Excellent for a beginner marathoner
I’m just starting to train for my first marathon and have been a runner for a while. However I have struggled with weight loss too. This podcast has been very useful and helpful for tips for my training. It has also taught me to be mentally fit and not too hard on myself.

    Motivation booster
The informal nature of the content has been helpful to me as I build new healthier habits. I’ve been able to incorporate techniques and tips that have gotten me through weight loss plateaus. I like the conversational tone of the episodes.

    Good content
A little long winded at times. Yes find myself interested in the point but I have to rewind to hear it because it’s lost in all the extra words. You’re awesome...work on delivery
  • Chrisc333333333
    Love the content but....
I love the content! You can tell it is researched and it is presented in an easier way. I just don’t care for how the guy TALKS at you. His tone is always condescending.

    An Exercise Scientist’s & Athlete’s Dream Podcast
Talk about the BEST of both worlds! I love how Tom is able to pull the science evidence based side of health & wellness and is able to seamlessly tie it to implementation of your average person. I could listen to these podcast ALL DAY! I hate finishing my long runs or turning off my car because that means I have to wait until next time to listen to him again.

    Stress is a choice!
Love your insight on mindset and how it effects all aspects of our health!! Mind if I share this episode on my FB page Wellness With Debby? I’m new at this but I share how mindset resiliency helped me conquer my life long struggle with weight. Love all your content, thank you for sharing your knowledge with all of us!!

    Love This Podcast
Tom gives a lot of good information and is super motivating. I’m so glad I found this podcast. I would love to hear an episode on overcoming injury or recovering from surgery, and how to stay active.

    What I’ve Been Looking For.....
I am 5-time marathoner looking to figure out the right way to train, and I can appreciate the host for sharing his experiences and unbiased views by sharing more than one article on a topic. He comes from a diverse background in fitness and this is why I feel that I can trust his opinions. He is energetic and witty. I listen to him while I am running or doing other workouts. I feel inspired and I want to say thank you!

    Calf Compression socks
First off, you are changing the way I work out! I've been at it for 58 years and since I've been listening to your show, I've changed all kinds of things. It makes it better and more fun. I've been running (competitively for a while) for 45 plus years and I'm starting to have recurrent calf strains. I see people with the calf compression socks and wondered what your take is on using them. Do they help anything or are they just fashion statements? Do they hurt anything? I will continue to listen to see if you address this in some future podcast. Keep up the great work
  • sixgirlsmom
    Just found this love it
I’ve been working out for years. Have a few injuries that slow me down. Six amazing girls and being over 40 have slowed my weight loss and strength gains down. But this podcast is answering so many questions. Giving me real ideas of approaching my own workouts and nutrition. Nicely not to much of what I’ve heard are contrary to what I know works. And now the follow through. Thanks looking forward to listening to it all. I wanted to add thank you for saying do your squats slow in your 6min short episode. I love classes but they will do squats so quick all you are doing is bending your knees to the beat. Drives me crazy!
  • Thurmon Meownson
    Episodes can’t come quickly enough!!
Tom Holland speaks the truth, it’s that simple. There is so much garbage and pseudoscience out there nowadays and it’s nice to know that someone who has “done it all” cuts through the nonsense with real science in an approachable way. This podcast is the best preworkout on the market!
  • #BadGramma
    Enjoy!
Give yourself the gift of Tom’s common sense approach to a healthy lifestyle. Love when I learn something new. Love it even more when I hear him talk about something I already (think) I know. Nothing like confirmation of things you’re doing right. Has become my end of day listen.
  • nicknane thing is stupid
Smart exercise talk with no sales pitch
Tom Holland is a unique voice in fitness. He genuinely seems interested in helping people get fit to help them live longer and happier rather than selling an exercise program or device, or a shake with his face on the container. I am by no means a fitness newbie, and his most recent episode was filled with simple and and informative science based information which was both useful and actionable. Listen and find out what that was.
  • Cincywatchdoc
    Best fitness podcast!
Tom cuts right to the core of what is most important to modern fitness. I’m inspired by the subjects and guests, and have adopted some of the circuits and methods to my workouts to improve the results. Highly recommend!!
  • Ab10329
    Like the science
I like having the scientific information about the best health and fitness actions. Would like some more episode with information more geared toward athletes and not just those wanting to start getting healthy. My only complaint is the amount of time spent ranting and going on tangents that don’t actually give helpful information.
  • kbatt504
Great to the point podcast. Love your approach and philosophy.
Commonsense fitness with the science to back it up! Doable suggestions and attainable goals. Love it thank you!
