Podcast with substance. Storytelling and pacing is spot on -
Much more than a podcast that talks about a murder. It explores the collateral damage caused by a murder. The episodes are interesting, a good length of time, and has the necessary information without extraneous backstory. Much more than about the murder, it provides information about the landscape, population shifts and the culture of where the murderer grew up. I was moved by the honest communication from her mother. She is a strong woman who owned her choices 100%. This is not a "blame your mother podcast." Without being a spoiler, this is much more than about her. It is the first podcast I have listened that shared her soul searching with unexpected results. It was the respect paid to the people affected by this tragedy that earned the 5th star.

    Response to Wilfulgreen
I thought this podcast was very honest and insightful. It was done with great respect for all those involved. Nina , I hope we hear more from you soon! As for your review “Dumb”. Reserve your judgement and maliciousness for your own life. You attacked this woman without cause. You called her life and family members dumb. If you didn’t like her podcast nobody forced you to listen. Why not just listen to something else? I doubt anyone found your inane review helpful or informative. You Sir need to move out of Mommy’s basement and stop projecting your self esteem issues on others.

    Dumb
Nothing funnier than a middle aged woman ( w children) going after a young man just out of teenaged years & she was bamboozled ?!?!? A rapists gets free time out of prison to knock up his mother stand in

Excellent story telling about the strength of women
Go Nina and crew. Thank you for telling this story. I’m so happy your mom had the strength, courage and resources to escape when she did. I’m so sad your brother and of course anyone touched by your dad - had the unfortunate experience of being stuck in his malevolent orbit. Your brother - I pray for him and all of you - including the two people he brutally murdered. The letter to your dad was incredibly powerful. Thank you for this important story.

A different crime story- but powerful!
This podcast helps peel back the layers that cover the “other” victims- the family of the murderer. It takes us along the process as the daughter of a truly evil man deals with having his bliss run through her. Very inspirational!

Not a traditional true crime story but...
This podcast is a story about past, present, and future. Truly moving and beautiful, this podcast explores the roots of trauma, all the way to its devastating effects on future generations. If you’re looking for something personal, deep, and moving, you’ll love this podcast. If you’re looking for a Serial, Bear Brook, or Cold, you won’t enjoy it as much. This podcast is in its own category, and I appreciate the unique narrative being told through this medium.
