    Helpful show!
I stumbled upon this podcast when I was searching for shows about dealing with panic attacks. I found the episode to be very helpful and I’ve learned from Drew’s other episodes, too! For me, it’s easier to access and less expensive than therapy, and I plan to keep listening and applying what I’m learning.

    Awesome Podcast
Stumbled upon Drew’s podcast some time ago and he has been a mainstay of my listening for some time. I have read two of his books, too. I have known many licensed therapists who could do with listening to Drew and learning a few things. I am sure the profession is honored now to have him as a member. What he says just makes sense. It would resonate with any anxiety sufferer.

    Better than therapy!!!
I’ve been suffering so bad lately after almost a year of full recovery, but this podcast has made such a huge difference and has inspired me to get back out there and do my exposures(even on the bad days). The advice and tips for overcoming and learning to deal with the feelings instead of just wishing them away for good has been a game changer. I just wish I had known about this podcast sooner. If you are a sufferer of some type of anxiety and you have stumbled upon this review, it does get better and nothing lasts forever. Best wishes and love to all!!

    This Guy Is So Real
Drew, You are a Godsend. I really appreciate your down to earth style. You seem to be speaking directly to me. I appreciate that you yourself were/are an anxiety sufferer. I have gotten up to episode six and I know I am going to listen to all your episodes. Bless you!

    The Truth 🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽
I have been following Dre for 2 years now, not cured till this day but I have so much hope and everything that he speaks is true. He never makes it seem as if there’s a special magic button or course for you to get better. It takes work and a lot of courage and it can take years for you to build up to have enough courage to follow these steps. I thank him so much for even giving me hope. Pretty cool guy easy to talk too as well!

    The best!
Drew’s podcasts helped me more then any therapy session! I love his no bulsh$&t approach, everything he talks about speaks directly to my soul, he helped me deal with many anxiety attacks, get over the medication withdrawal and much more. I keep coming back to his podcasts every time I feel a wave coming and will be forever grateful for everything he does! I wish I’m still in NY to take his therapy sessions. Best of luck Drew!

This podcast has been so helpful!
I stumbled across this podcast about 5 months ago and I have been listening ever since. Drew’s approach to anxiety is the complete opposite of what therapists have been telling me for years. I have been suffering from anxiety and panic disorder for 18 years and in the short time that I have been listening I have made more progress than the years I spent in therapy. I am grateful for coming across this podcast and I would highly recommend it.

    Informative and Encouraging
I came across this podcast because I’ve been struggling with anxiety and was seeking support. The episodes I’ve listened to so far have been relevant, which makes me feel not only understood, but also realizing I am not alone with my anxiety experience. The techniques discussed make sense and are motivating to apply independently.

    Life changing
I don’t mean to be dramatic but Drew’s podcast truly changed my life. I was in therapy and taking medication and only found ways to cope with what I thought would be my new normal. At first I questioned his approach but I tried everything else so I thought why not. I started doing exposures the way he explains while implementing the relaxation technique he explains and the focus training and this changed my life. It was really hard but it gave me back my life. Thank you Drew.

    Incredibly well done
This podcast is THE go to source for people with panic disorder and agoraphobia. In fact, it is helpful for other mental ailments as well. Drew seems to care about results over all else. Lots of caring therapists out there, but they mostly have not lived with these issues. Drew has, and it shows, in a good way. I believe he cares about people. I saw a therapist who specialized in agoraphobia before. It was expensive. Drew covers everything she did but probably more extensively. This podcast is obviously not a replacement for treatment, as treatment is individualized and takes other life factors/context into consideration, but the content is top notch and based on scientific evidence. It’s a fantastic resource. Drew can have a tough love style. I think it’s because he is trying to get through to peoples anxious brains that can’t stop the “what ifs”. So it makes sense that he doesn’t fool around. I know myself and probably many others just get used to feeling bad. Used to doctor after doctor. He is basically saying “enough! Let’s settle this. NOW”. It oozes through each episode in how he discusses anxiety. You can feel the single minded goal: relief from these debilitating issues. 10/10 recommend. Seek treatment from a specialist if you can, but no matter what this is an incredible resource to have.

    Podcast that’s worth listening
I am just dealing with anxiety for the past couple of months. It’s bad, every time I have anxiety I feel that it is the end of the world, I haven’t done therapy yet and thankfully I stumbled with this podcast! There’s one recent podcast that truly helped me, episode 294: when panic attack comes out of the blue. I just had panic attack on my dream and didn’t get any sleep and I was very frustrated the next day and then I listened to this particular episode and it changed me! I was able to control my anxiety. What I love about this podcast is Drew explained how/ why you feel this things and it’s okay not to be okay. This podcast deserves more than 5 stars! I’m so glad I found this podcast and I listen to this every morning before I go to work.

Really Great Podcast for Dealing with Anxiety Disorders
I’ve been struggling with anxiety issues and agoraphobia for years. I wish this podcast had been around when I was younger. Drew is very straightforward about what you need to do to work through the anxiety. No sugar coating. Highly recommend!

Grateful to have found this podcast
Newbie here, but I really have to say I find Drew’s insights extremely helpful, easy to understand, and “real”. I’ve already purchased one of his books. For this illness that those of us have and are trying desperately to “cure”, this really puts things in perspective. Drew has done a great service to those of us who struggle with anxiety disorders. I really respect him and trust his insight because 1) he is a fellow sufferer (well, was) and 2) he’s getting the cred/education to back it up as he is going to become a licensed therapist. This is the perfect combo to me and is so much more reliable and impactful than some random person on Instagram telling you that x-thing cured them.

    Very impactful
I’ve always had anxiety but recently have been dealing with panic attacks. I’ve been in therapy but not gaining progress. I’ve listened to 4 episodes and it has helped me immensely. I’ve been wondering WHY is this happening to me? So to have someone explain it feels very healing. Also comforting to hear that I am not alone. Thank you!

    I’ve never felt more seen...
I’ve been on quite a journey with anxiety… As someone who has dealt with some level of anxiety since childhood (I’m 38 now), it has, in recent years, transformed into full blow panic attacks. They seem to come in waves or seasons… I’ve sought medical help and the best they did was prescribe medication. I don’t think I’ve heard a better explanation of how I feel than what was detailed in episode 287… I often struggle to explain my “issue” to family and friends. In fact, often times I just apologize for my behavior and ask for grace as I navigate anxiety and panic. I don’t really have the budget for full-blown counseling, so I’ve looked to different avenues such as this podcast. THANK GOD for this podcast. I’ve just discovered it a day ago and now I’m several episodes in and every one has been so enlightening. Thank you for this, Drew! Wish I could give you a hug. Ha

Drew and several of the like minded people he collaborates with really do speak truth and can give real hope of recovery to those suffering.

Best Show for Accepting and Recovering From Anxiety
I’ve been trying to find information on how to do this whole “Letting Go” and “Surrendering” topic which can be confusing to implement and just learn overall. But this podcast really clarifies the subject and goes into detail that really resonates. The host can be a bit repetitive or redundant but the content is still highly valuable.

    Bookmark episode 282
I was diagnosed with panic disorder and agoraphobia in 2018 and get triggered by driving on certain parts of highways. I saved episode 282 to practice along with while driving as a behavioral therapy technique. It’s been life changing. So grateful for this podcast.

    Drew is the best!
I have anxiety and spent a lot of time and money on therapists and meds that made me feel worse with bad side effects. I got off the meds and then stumbled upon Drew's podcast. His down to earth approach on handling anxiety has helped me. It's not an easy journey, but worth it.
  • AnxiousMatt1976
    Coming from a complete mess…
I have listened to almost all the podcasts and I can say it helps. Many topics covered for those starting the journey to improve. It’s hard but through action and facing fears, you improve. The journey is not easy and no two are the same. Stepping outside your shields and taking the first step is brutal. I’m failing at that but I have children so I refuse to give in. This podcast helps me face the right direction for the first time in 30+ years. Anxiety is crippling and spirals into depression, self-esteem corruption and crushes self respect. Seek help. Stop waiting.

    Providing hope and healing
This podcast helps me navigate difficult emotions, sensations and thoughts. Hearing others have the same experiences and have healed provides me with hope that I will too. Thank you for this!

    Great Resource
This podcast has been so helpful in navigating my recovery from anxiety and OCD. I love his approach and the way he presents the info. He’s very empathetic but also very insistent that we are totally capable and able to recover. It helps to hear this from someone who has been through a similar experience as well, which he has. My big roadblock to recovery was thinking my anxiety was super different/niche/sticky and therefore too tricky to respond to treatment. Apparently, a lot of people think this about themselves - haha. This podcast has opened my eyes and helped me so much.

    Extreme morning anxiety
Woke up with it again. All my life. Desperately searched for a podcast on the topic. This literally felt like he was speaking to and about me and had solid ideas for helping. Grateful I found this and looking forward to binging. Thank you for making this for people in desperate times.

    Must Listen
If you have anxiety, you need to listen to this podcast. It’s the only anxiety podcast that I’ve listened to where it feels like the host actually has anxiety and understand what it’s like. I’ve received such helpful tips from this podcast that have really helped me in my life. This podcast is a must listen to if you have anxiety!
  • Bananaz333
    Thank you, Drew!
Drew has helped me so much and this podcast and Disordered have given me much more understanding and inspiration than therapy. One of the biggest helps is just knowing that he’s been where I am, got out of it and is fine. It’s really refreshing.

    Mind blowing
I’ve been trying to write a review on this podcast like 4 times now. I’m lacking words to describe what a blessing it is that I found it. All I got to say is please keep doing what you’re doing because it’s very possible that you saved few lives. Thank you Drew. Absolutely mind blowing.

    Must listen
First review I have ever written on a podcast. I believe I have gotten more from listening to this podcast for the past few months than 1.5 years of therapy. It’s makes sense though when I think about how I was going to therapy to “get rid of” my anxiety. Now I just accept it’s there, and will continue to address my anxious behaviors.
  • Muffinpooh
    Amazingly knowledgeable

    So appreciative for this podcast
I appreciate that Drew is someone who has lived through anxiety and can truly relate to some of the things that people in our community are going through. He is honest and does not sugar coat anything. Thank you for sharing your insight and experience with us!
  • Slimwooly
    Cliche
I found it to be akin to 1970’s self help books that just basically told you to fight your own mind and body without compassion or empathy - or any understanding whatsoever. There is so much new data by a multitude of new researchers that validates where the person is and what is happening in their brains; and from there provide solutions. This podcast however does none of that. It is unsupportive, cliche, and reminiscent of the injurious “tough love movement” of by gone times. Instead of offering a knowledge base from which to proceed, has the feel of a marketing gimmick to build up the host. It is a smart business move though. We played it at the medical center where I work and as one person put it - if you suffer from more than a broken nail, this will not help.

    Best advice for overcoming panic!
I have spent a small fortune on my recovery- retreats, crystals, oils, trauma release and nothing as helped me more than Drew’s work. It especially helps knowing that he’s been through it all! He doesn’t sugar coat anything- it’s hard, it’s uncomfortable, but he gives sound advice and supports you through it all!
  • Skachic71
    Real!
I can’t say thank you enough to how real Drew is and gives it to you straight! I know I am not on this healing journey by myself and there is definitely hope! Here’s to the new chapter in my life!

    Hope
First time I haven’t felt alone in a long time. I never used to believe that podcasts or really anything would help. A friend sent me an episode to listen to and in complete despair, I gave it a listen and it has changed my life.

    Life changing for my husband
I just started listening to this podcast because it has been literally a life saving tool for my husband who has never been an anxious person until an incident happened May 2022 and he had his first panic attack (that he thought was a heart attack). and spiraled from there. He found this podcast, bought everyone of your books, and puts the work in daily taking one step forward. Listening helps me better understand what he’s going through. Thank you for what you do.
