Another reviewer already said it, but it bears repeating. Enough with the sound board- it’s objectively annoying and detracts from an otherwise solid podcast. Would have rated it a 5/5 if not for that.

These guys keep it real, and the show format is really well done. They keep on topic and are passionate about the genre and have a great group of guests that frequent the show.

I came for the horror commentary, but I stayed for the horror commentators. Insightful, likable, and funny!

This show is so much fun. They’ve been friends for a long time and it shows. The bumps feel chaotic and they add to the show’s ‘lore.’ Once you get familiar with the language it’s a roller coaster that you don’t wanna stop. I’m often holding back laughter in public.

Good podcast, great in-depth discussions, but ENOUGH of the goddamn sound board. They “discovered” it at some point and all seem to think its hysterical - spoiler warning - its annoying. Just stop

I’ve been listening to the cast for four years now and never miss an episode. Wednesday is always exciting knowing a new episode is coming out. But this podcast is so much more than just a few guys talking it’s almost become like a little family with the daily interactions with the fans and hosts. Don’t miss out on this one if you’re a horror fan.

This review is long overdue. This podcast is great. It’s funny, has quality audio and well thought out analysis. The chemistry between the hosts makes them feel like old friends. I always enjoy finding new movies to watch and hear the SC crew’s thoughts. Highly recommend.

I’m a big fan of horror, and an equally big fan of horror podcasts, so when I saw this suggested I thought “nice! Looks decent” and subscribed. Then I listened to my first episode… I’m not going to sugar coat it, this podcast is embarrassingl bad. This is dude bro, peaked in high school, think we are way funnier than we are, fart joke level sophistication, cringe humor. The hosts are a grating bunch of “horror geeks” who really don’t seem to actually be into horror, are on the bandwagon because it’s currently popular, and who’d obviously rather be “wacky” morning DJ’s, and present the show as such, complete with poorly edited sound bites of Macho Man “oh ueaaaaah I’m the CREAM baby! and toilets flushing, and constant stupid jokes about Skinamax, and someone’s butthole. So horror… Five minutes in and I’d heard the phrase “IT’S YA BOY!”at least 5 times (literally every introduction, or any time anyone else was mentioned, because everyone has the same, manufactured generic personality” and “fo shizzle” just for extra, outdated generic dude bro cringe, but zero about horror Those guys don’t care about horror. They all seem to think they are far more interesting than the subject matter, and apparently base that on the fact that they just parrot back stupid, played out pop culture references rapid fire as a substitution for any actual personality…and occasionally, rarely talk about actual horror. Hard pass….

Bob, Juice & Randoo! These boys bring something special to the table of horror movie podcasts. The humor is always on point, but they always bring out this element of wisdom. Each host has something unique to offer, but collectively they are always incredibly engaging. They don’t always agree with each other and I like that dynamic. It brings about a genuine quality. They are not afraid to speak their minds and I really respect that. The banter is always hilarious and definitely makes my ribs hurt at times from laughing so hard. I've been listening to this cast for almost 5 years now and haven't missed an episode. Their consistency is unrivaled, new shows every week without fail. I really love the camaraderie between the hosts and the greater Straight Chilling community - HARD WITH US. This show is unique because it's still small enough to have direct engangement with the creators yet the professionalism and quality is that of a podcast with a much bigger budget and resource. More importantly, it has brought together a wide variety of individuals that are all extremely good to each other and we've all become great friends and support one another - it truly is a special bunch. The community this show fosters has spawned and/or encouraged at least 3-4 other podcasts that most of us all also listen to regularly. We CHILL-dren have a dedicated slack channel, we do regular live watch parties and get a chance to pick horror films for them to review. This is an excellent horror review podcast and an amazing community to be a part of, check it out - join us and keep chilling like the funk of 40,000 years, it's great fun!

Great podcast! Always have a blast listening to it. Bob is a great host very knowledgeable and I would love to see that blu collection. Justin is great, very humorous tho I do sometimes disagree with some of his takes (Evil Dead 2 is a sequel not a remake) And the lord almighty RANDO! I almost always agree with his takes. I like that he stands by his opinions on movies when the others may disagree. Check them out, you won’t regret it.

I have been listening to these guys since the start of the pandemic, and it has just made working from home so much more enjoyable. Got some great horror recommendations from these guys and even got me into collecting physical media because of it, highly highly recommended this podcast keep it up boys and keep chillin.

I’ve been listening to these guys for years now. I love their banter and the personalities of the hosts. It seems like every episode I wholeheartedly agree with one host and disagree with another, but it aligns differently every week. These guys love horror movies, and know their stuff. The podcast really does feel like you are just hanging out with friends and watching horror movies.

I have been listening to this podcast for the last couple years and it is one of the top casts I listen too. The hosts are great and the longtime friendships come through so naturally in their conversation. Their casts are always tight and organized with great discussion points that lead me back to movies new and old to watch again or discover. They also have an amazing Horror Movie Slack Community that takes our love of horror to another level! I look forward to a new cast every week and thank them for all their effort and passion toward horror movies! Keep Chillin!

A group of complete idiots, especially the one named Justin, that wouldn’t know the difference between a giallo and a slasher.

Good podcast but too critical of most movies which is a turn off. It’s hard to listen to people just rip on movie for an hour. I think I’m done with this show. That said still 5 stars for effort.

This is by far my #1 favorite podcast. All 3 guys have great personalities and senses of humor, and really do a deep dive into the movie they’re discussing each week. There are lots of inside jokes but if you keep listening you’ll catch on and appreciate them too. The fellas also give listeners lots of ways to participate, from voting monthly between three movie choices, to joining watch parties on Zoom, and more. Anyone who enjoys horror movies, from casual horror viewers to die-hard fans, will enjoy this podcast.

Look, when they’re not playing annoying sound clips, eating or making other noises that disrupt the podcast, or screaming, it’s not a bad podcast. Unfortunately, it seems like everything I listed above is part of what they think make the podcast great. The sound clips are beyond obnoxious. I’ve listened to at least ten episodes to see if some of the annoying parts would stop, but sadly, no. I doubt I’ll keep listening. Helpful hint: If you want to hear about the movie that they’re reviewing, automatically skip to 20 minutes in on very episode. However, it could take up to 30 minutes before they start.

I love listening to this podcast on my commute and long drives. Listening to the crew is almost like adding three (honestly more) funny guys to your own personal friend group. I actually laugh out loud to the point of pain sometimes because of how funny they are. They have a wonderful community full of people who have found some of their own friends all thanks to the cast. The listeners also have opportunities to be involved with the cast, and they interact with us on all platforms.

These guys are ninja masters of the genre. They break down the gore, the kills, the specific shots and really take pride in knowing each movie inside and out! And they have a great banter. I’m hooked!

A bunch of dude humor that plagues horror movie podcasts. I’ve been on the search for some good horror movie podcasts and the ones that feature all men are so bad and have that same kind of high school boy humor but the podcasters are at least in their 30’s. It’s disheartening. Skip this podcast.

The guys at Straight Chilling always provide passionate reviews of horror films through the ages. Their different approaches provide great insightful and uninsightful opinions alike, resulting in some of the best audible slapstick out there!

These guys are great! I’ve been strokin’ and binging all of the episodes particularly of the horror movies I’ve seen. Bob, Randy, Jus-stains and DJ Elzebub are very funny and they have a great vibe together. They’ve also introduced me to some pretty great movies I never considered watching before. I’m officially hooked at this point and I don’t know how to stop!! Solid one star...
