    What a jewel!
This is by far the very best clinical podcast I have ever found. Some of the episodes are already over 5 years old, but the content remains as fresh as ever. The author presents the information in an organized and sensical way, and the entire content is directly applicable to clinical practice. Highly recommended!

I’m a recent vet school grad that just started my internship at a private practice in Pennsylvania in the US. I love the veterinary ECC small talk podcast. I have a 45 minute commute to and from work each day and these are the perfect length and level of detail that I feel like I’m really learning something each day and being productive during my drive. There have also already been several instances where something has come up in the internship that I just reviewed during my morning drive with you. Thank you for doing this! Love the variety of topics also. Keep it up!

    Great podcast
I have a mobile diagnostic imaging referral practice and recently discovered your podcast. It’s an excellent way to help the traveling time seem less of an issue and at the same time get valuable continuing education. Thanks for making it available and so relevant.

Very interesting, and so easy to listen to. Dr. Jasani has an excellent speaking voice and the sound quality is superb. I would reccomend this to anyone studying animal medicine, keeping pets, or anyone who is curious.

    Great for assistants and techs!
I'm so glad I stumbled upon this podcast. In the few episodes I've listened to I have learned so much. I'm an assistant at a Critical Care and Emergency hospital that does many, many orthopedic surgeries and I found the physical therapy episode very interesting and informative. I have been interested in PROM/massage in the recovery of my patients and feel the information presented will enhance nursing skills. Keep it up!

    Excellent podcast!
I'm a recent graduate undergoing a rotating internship at a private practice emergency and referral hospital in the US and just recently started listening to this podcast. Very insightful and helpful especially when thinking back about cases seen on emergency. Thank you Dr. Jasani!

    Informative topics, excellent delivery
Thank you for making these podcasts free! As a new vet who's currently on maternity leave, your podcasts help me keep my clinical brain sharp while assuming mommy duties! It makes me less nervous to go back to work. Cheers

    Excellent
I just graduated from vet school and have been listening to this podcast for the past year. During that time, it was a wonderful way to review important concepts without having to read or stare at a computer. And now, I'm so thankful to have it as I enter my internship- I can listen on my way to work or in the small amount of time I will have to exercise. Thanks!

    Excellent review before starting internship
I am about to start an internship and this has been invaluable podcast for refreshing and establishing critical thinking skills in a large variety of clinical and non clinical scenarios.

    Excellent podcast
As an RVT in an emergency/specialty practice, I find the topics covered and information provided very relevant to my daily cases. Thanks for making one of the few available veterinary podcasts a great one!

    Provides a good chew
I am an ER vet just a few months out of my internship (hurray for the triumphant return of quality of life), and I really enjoy listening to these podcasts. They are well organized and make me think on past cases as well as future ones. Coming from California, I also have the added bonus of learning how to properly pronounc8e certain words the English way and will try throwing a few of these around in rounds :) Thank you Shailen for taking the time to provide a great (and free) resource for the veterinary community.

    Good information
Really good information, great to listen to on the commute to work… A little bit dry at times….but the information is good if you can stay tuned in.

    The voice of reason
Dr. Jasani’s podcasts have been a huge benefit to me. I am in my first year of practice, on a rotating internship where I sometimes find myself the only vet in the hospital on the overnight emergency shift. While our more experienced ECC clinicians already apply much of what is discussed here, it is wonderful to be able to take a minute when things aren’t so hectic to listen and learn about the current evidence and the underlying principles. Plus there are many practical bits of information that have been so helpful to me. And it’s all presented in an upbeat and positive style that makes listening fun. I’m really grateful for all the time and effort that have gone into the making of these recordings, they are certainly having a positive impact on my ability to navigate the subtleties of emergency medicine and help our urgent patients.

    Outstanding resource
Dr. Jasani does a fantastic job in his podcasts - both this one and the one aimed at generalists. I am an ACVECC Diplomate myself, and listen to the podcasts during long drives between clients, and have been uniformly impressed with the quality of information and the critical thinking that Dr. Jasani encourages. He and his guests encourage the listener to think about cases rather than giving cookbook recipes for how to treat patients. My only request of the podcasters would be to include generic names for drugs that may be different overseas (such as insulins). Your audience is growing! :) Thanks, and keep them coming! - Jamie M. This is Fantastic
As a third year veterinary student, this podcast is so helpful in aiding my understanding of so many topics. I just drove from Philadelphia to Montreal and listened to nothing but this podcast, and plan on doing the same on my drive back! Thank you!

    Outstanding
Great information from a highly experienced clinician. As 10 year ECC tech finally starting vet school, I'm looking forward to many more episodes!

Awesome podcast for technicians and doctors alike.
I listen to a lot of podcasts to and from work, and I never miss an episode of Veterinary ECC Small Talk! Dr. Jasani does a phenomenal job explaining topics in a fun and understandable format. I particularly enjoy his evidence-based style of medicine and in-depth analyses of currently available research that he uses to support his claims. As an ER/ICU technician, the information he presents is directly applicable to the work I do every day, and I'm constantly recommending his podcasts to my coworkers (technicians and doctors). Keep up the good work and the jibber jabber, Dr. Jasani!

Good Refreshers and review of literature
Great start to reviewing one of the most common emergencies(hemoabdomen) we deal with. Going to make all my techs listen to this and then have quiz questions so they better understand this disease and why we manage the cases as we do post operatively. Can’t wait for part 2. Love all the pod casts so far, love the discussions where literature is involved and that they are posted later so I can review the information presented.

Fantastic podcast for the veterinary professional!
I started listening to this podcast a few weeks ago. I love it. I am about to start clinical rotations for the last year of my veterinary doctorate. I really enjoy listening to Dr. Jasani's take on clinical issues especially ones that arise in everyday practice. I plan on becoming GP and need to be able to stabilize my patients before fixing them myself or sending them off the a referral institution.

    Good for VT Students
I’m a vet tech student getting ready to graduate from my vet tech program in a few months. I’m currently in an emergency and critical care class, so I’ve started to listen to this podcast to supplement the lectures. I may not understand all of the details of the topics, but I am learning new information with every episode. I’ll be recommending this podcast to all of my ECC classmates.

    Love!
My techs and I love listening to this podcast if we have some downtime on the overnight shift! It provides a great basis for discussion and is an excellent review on so many important topics. Nerd alert - we make popcorn and call it our "popcast"! My only problem with this show is that it seems to jinx us into seeing emergency patients afflicted with the same disease process as the podcast we've just listened to. So please, no podcasts on how to save a DOA using open chest CPR and on a limited budget - we won't be listening to that one. Thanks for making this show, and keep up the great work!!

Fluid Therapy - this is how it’s done
Just finished the talk on fluid therapy, one of my favorite subjects. I was very happy to hear that Shailen refrained from answering listeners' question with standard cook book answers. Instead he made people understand how important it is to think about each case individually, consider all possible pre-existing deficits, ongoing losses, individual circumstances, comorbidities, and the response to fluid therapy you provided. One of the best talks on fluid therapy I have heard. Fantastic!

Current, broad knowledge base, detailed, applicable, practical, and compassionate.
These are only a few of the descriptors that apply to Shailen Jasani DACVECC 's veterinary professional emergency and critical care podcast. Any student or general practitioners who have a chance to learn from this veterinarian, in person, should count themselves fortunate. The simple fact that this specialist chooses to devote so much time to sharing important professional veterinary information, in such an accessible format, says volumes about him as a doctor and as a person. Thank you, Mr. Jasani, for this amazing labor of love. There are few audio learning opportunities for veterinarians. As someone who has a daily 75 minute one-way commute, I have been looking for any sort of audio CE. Mr. Jasani's podcasts allow me to listen to up-to-date information on real medical issues, with the added bonus of charging up my brain prior to entering the hospital doors and diving into the inevitable flood of patients and their human families needing my attention, care, and advice.

    Excellent resource *and* entertaining
I'm a second year vet tech student in the U.S. and I spend a lot of time driving between my home and school. I use the drive time to listen to veterinary podcasts of both a clinical and popular nature, and Veterinary ECC Small Talk is at the top of my to-listen-to list. The topics so far have been really interesting and Shailen's scripting is really good even for a 50-minute recording that would drag due to poor scripting. I am both adding to my knowledge bank and reinforcing what is already in my knowledge bank, so this is proving a great supplementary education resource I will continue to access after I sit my boards summer 2015. I also really appreciate that Shailen explains key terms for listeners who might be unfamiliar or unsure of the definitions, and the discussion of mechanisms and causal factors where known really helps me make sense of the whole picture. My one suggestion for improving the podcasts is to encourage Shailen to listen to the episodes with an ear for his use of "filler words" that are superfluous and distracting. Your filler words appear to be "umm," when you pause mid-sentence to think, and "So" and "Now" to begin sentences. Once you're aware of these fillers you can make an active effort to remove them and your delivery will be even better. Keep up the great work!
