I used to love this podcast. I bought Jamie’s books, adopted a child through her compassion link, etc. but lately I can’t stand to listen anymore. I’m all for open conversations but I’m exhausted from her constant interviews talking about race and how I’m automatically biased and certain states are racist etc. This podcast is too liberal and left leaning for me now. She needs to focus less on calling out her listeners and more time focusing on calling out her husband who was caught grooming and fondling young boys who the church trusted him with.

I cannot say enough just how much I love and enjoy this podcast!!!! I’ve been listening for a few years now, and although I don’t tap in to every episode, I always enjoy getting to come to Jamie’s show - find one that sounds great - and I am never disappointed! I love the raw and real and fun and loose and encouraging person that Jamie Ivey is. Her unwavering faith is so inspiring and her books are INCREDIBLE as well!

I’ve been a listener for years now! I don’t always listen to every episode because I just don’t have time for guests I’m less interested in, but I do always download every episode and mark each one as played! Idk if that counts for her, but I try! Because I love Jamie! I’m so glad she’s back and I continue to pray for her and her family as I have the past few months!

Jami’s podcast is just the best - incredible guests, thought provoking interviews and topics discussed. Over the years it has really helped me navigate some tough places in life. So thankful!

I used to be an avid listener of the podcast. This newest one which is pre-recorded with Jamie and her friend joking about swingers’ vacations and Jamie jokingly personally being flattered if anyone were to invite her to “swing” was disturbing to hear and feels like the antithesis to how she normally espouses her beliefs and faith story. Taking a break from subscribing and listening.

Jamie Ivey has an incredible talent for interviewing people and sharing their stories. She’s down to earth, fun, godly, and a joy to be influenced by. You will learn so much from the many voices that she has on her show. To God be the glory!

I’m so sorry your going through Terrible times. I wish like many that I could change things. God is your savior and will never leave you. Just pray, when you know you can’t he’s there and hears you!!! And know , when you can’t pray others can. love you Jamie. Please know that many like me who don’t know you personally are constantly praying for you. I wish I could do something to help you. When you can’t pray let us pray for you. Lean into Gods word even when things don’t make sense. Gods always there when you think he can’t possibly be doing good for you. Love you!!

Since seeing the notification that Jamie and her podcast, book tour and other projects are on hiatus due to a personal crisis, I thought this would be the best way to show my love and support. I’ve been listening to podcasts now for several years, this one for maybe 4 or 5 years and along with maybe 3 other ones (all Christian based), this one stays on my subscription list and every episode gets listened to eventually. Jamie, you are lovely and engaging and have had so many guests on your show that have led me to further reading, Bible studies, and I’m so grateful to you. I pray that you feel wrapped up in Jesus’ arms right now and are surrounded by love and light amidst any darkness. Come back soon!

I am not sure when I wrote my original review, but it was years ago! I can’t say enough positive things about ‘The Happy Hour’. I listened to it when it was brand new and then somehow stopped. But I have found my way back! 🙌🏻 Jamie is engaging, real and honest with her guests! The podcast is informative, educational, entertaining and, loads of fun!

I discovered Jamie Ivey during my first year of classes for my doctorate. I was driving 3 hours to class and I needed something to listen to. This was about the time when Podcasts were emerging. I fell in love with Jamie Ivey and her commitment to Jesus and following His a truth. I especially loved the episodes when she included her husband. Plus, she’s good at interviewing people. Thanks, Jamie!

Prayers over you, Jamie, and your family. I’m sure you’re going through a nightmare, but there are better days ahead. “The God of peace will soon crush Satan under your feet.” Rom 16:20 He will set your feet upon a rock and establish your going’s, He will put a new song in your heart, a song of praise to your God….. the only way is through. We are praying for you and love you. Don’t give up!

I’ve been a pretty faithful follower of the happy hour for a couple years but I think my heart and brain need to take a break. I’m a stay at home mom and have chosen to walk away from my career (that I earned my masters for) for a season to take care of our 4 small kids. I cannot relate to any woman that has been interviewed in so long. They make me feel like I’m missing out or that I “don’t have enough faith” to make both work and kids work for me and my family. I do love hearing from women who love Jesus, but it is been hard to hear week after week that women are selling themselves short if they choose to be elbow deep in dishes and diapers rather than having the entrepreneur spirit. And maybe that’s what this podcast is about but that just means I need to take a break from listening for a while.

I have been a faithful listener for the last seven ish years. Jamie is the real deal! I always recommend this as my favorite when asked. I have learned so much and been exposed to so many great people. We love you Jamie!

I have been a Happy Hour with Jamie Ivy podcast listener for years! When I am in a funk or need to be inspired are reminded of the some of the goodness in the world, Jamie‘s podcast always provides me with a pick me up and a solid dose of encouragement! She has introduced me to so many life-changing books and authors and can always be counted on to bring all things back to Jesus. So incredibly grateful for her work!

Lauras story is my story with a vastly different twist. My husband was diagnosed with glioblastoma (aggressive terminal brain cancer) and died within 7 mo. Our church family walked along side us & continue to walks with me. I downloaded her book onto Audible I was mad at God for taking my husband in the prime of our lives—doubted the promise of prayer. I have slowly reconciled but still struggling.

Use to listen religiously but the past several years the format has changed to where I find myself no longer going for it. I miss the old days when it was ‘regular’ women sharing their stories. Now it’s always someone promoting something. Also, I enjoy my happy hours with just the girls. I can go to any other podcast and hear these men. I liked being introduced to women I would never otherwise know.

It is like you are in the room with the girls chatting away. Love this podcast, the fellowship and minsitries that are talked about.

This is hands down my favorite podcast! I love that she is so real and down to earth. She is not scared to be vulnerable and talk about things that other Christian women won’t. Jamey is such a relatable interviewer - Happy Hour is the first podcast I was ever introduced to years ago. Still one of my favorites.

The Happy Hour is one of the first podcasts I started listening to years ago, and I keep coming back to it thanks to Jamie’s humility, joyful energy, and incredible interviewing skills. There are so many Christian podcasts nowadays that interview the same guests, but Jamie’s interviews ALWAYS rise above the rest. She has the unique ability to relate to guests without making it all about her, and she isn’t afraid to ask the tough questions with grace. While I don’t always agree with Jamie (especially on political issues), I always take something away from her episodes and grow deeper in my faith as a result.

I am new to podcasts and while searching I stumbled across happy hour. I. Can. Not. Tell. You. How much I love it!! It brings me so much joy and I can't stop listening!! I’ve been listening to THH since 2019. I love this show because Jamie and her guests have made me take a second look at my beliefs and ask myself, “how do I really feel about this issue?” I love her wide variety of guests. I look forward to every Wednesday for a new episode. Jamie Ivey is truly my favorite podcaster for her love of Jesus, her humility, sense of humor and her passion for “all the things.” I guarantee by the end of one episode your mood will be lighter and you’ll feel a fresh wave of encouragement wash over you.

I love podcasts and I’m usually hesitant to start a new one because so many are just meh…the podcast caught my attention and kept me listening! Excited to go back to previous episodes and for new releases!

I used to love this show, but several years ago she began espousing the woke propaganda of the secular world. I try not to conflate faith and politics and unfortunately Jamie Ivey isn’t capable of that these days. I’ll take my Jesus without modern politics, thank you very much.

So grateful to have found this faith focused podcast! I've been really enjoying the encounter series and hearing from so many different perspectives!

I love podcasts, but almost always, I listen on at least 1.25 because everyone talks too slowly. I can’t do that with Jamie! I have to (& want to) listen at the regular setting! I love her guests, she is a trusted voice as a mom and woman in ministry. She really is someone who it would be fun to sit down with at Happy Hour.

I love this podcast! She interviews with such heart. As a busy mom, who also works in children’s ministry, I do not have time to read like I use to. I love listening in the car or as I go about life and can keep up with the latest authors and what is going on in the world and walk away encouraged and with something to chew on throughout the day.

I have been a listener to the Happy Hour for years. A friend recommended it to me and I binge listened until I was caught up on episodes.
