As a foreigner living in China, I was hoping to find a podcast that discussed modern issues both within China and internationally from a Chinese perspective. However, issues tend to never derive from China. As of 2021, the podcast has failed to address any of the major issues in China including the most recent mass protests, the national party congress, or anything regarding the covid restrictions. For a podcast that claims to cover “pressing social issues in China” and failing to do so accurately or fairly this unfortunately falls into the category of propaganda. With an understanding of how the media sphere operates within the mainland, I have sympathy for the hosts both foreign and Chinese that are forced to bite their tongue in times like these…

Where can I find the transcript of your shows? I found out it’s a very good material for learning English

This show is a good way to learn more about China and and how the country and people are addressing everyday events. Keep up the great work.

Please be more forgiving to the hosts' pronounciation; As long as it is clear, chingulish is more like a style not an error! As for the "propoganda from Chinese government" arguement, please save it for consparicy theorists! There is no hate or instigation so you CANNOT say it is a propoganda!

Nillah , please learn to listen while other people speaking let them finish whatever they want to say . You always interrupting others , someone just starts to say something and you are cutting his/ her speech and saying something unrelated to the topic that’s so annoying.

Please, Tony, can you stop speaking “you know” every 10 seconds? I love this show, but “you know ” drive me crazy.

This is one of the best podcasts on daily life in China delivered in excellent English.

Contents are gréât but the prononciation is a bit Chinglish

I was hoping to find a podcast about china that was not super technical or business focused but still more substantial than what people like eating. It’s toothless and kind of boring.

This show is Chinese government propaganda. If it were real it would address human rights violations and pollution instead of what kind of food Chinese people enjoy.

Every time they enter into 2nd half discussion, me hosts always make annoying and stupid sounds. They think that makes them interesting but not. Please just be standard hosts and mind your behaviors and sounds

When criticizing Chinese companies, they won’t name the company, which makes it not useful information for listeners.

Been listening to this show for around 2month . Especially love the hosts.
