I’ve been listening for a few months now and I’ve come to look forward to each new episode every week! The guys do a great job at discussing what to look out for each week on Wednesday’s, how to plan your FOC, and what you might have missed previously.

been listening since drew left weekly comicbook podcast. And since i liked a lot of the things he liked i started to listen to this even though i never sold comics or really plan 2. But the dou of kyle and drew make it fun to listen to while i work. Fun informative and just great. (Although a lil rough when drew is without a buddy)

If you enjoy being a Wednesday Warrior or on top of the latest hot comics, give Kyle and Drew a listen. Kyle and Drew put out a roughly 1 hour show for your listening pleasure every Saturday. For me, it is a must listen and I look forward to it every weekend! I enjoy their walk through of the FOC and week ahead preview. In addition, both hosts pick a book each week they think will be hot or have long term legs. Their insight is good for new and seasoned collectors alike. With that said, be ‘smart’ and focus on the “fun” part. 90% of comics don’t go up in value. Read the comics for fun and sell if a book gets hot. Oh, and be warned, Kyle either lives with the monkey from “Outbreak” or licks door knobs because he is sick every other week. Drew somehow solders on without his co-host never the less. Of course I’m kidding but seriously the man needs a vitamin C drip.

Really enjoy listening to your podcast and having the pleasure of working with Eric at Kowabunga. Love the FOC list and knowing I can get the books I want at a reasonable price is awesome. Although Drew’s pick are usually incorrect it still let’s me know what books not to buy. Just joking. Keep up the good work and looking forward to listening to you guys in the future.

Been wanting to review this very informative podcast for months now. Was a retailer years ago started collecting for my pc last year and Drew and Kyle have been my true guiding force. Now I am reselling again and they got me involved with ordering through Kowabunga comics each month and what a fantastic experience it has been. Eric from Kowabunga set up an account for me and I couldn't be happier. A great listen some wonderful tips and always a few laughs. Drew and Kyle are my weekly authority on what new comics I should pick-up on the best day of the week, Wednesday. I have successfully scored some significant spec books using thier reccomendations and read new exciting titles I potentially would have never grabbed. This podcast is the best, current, informative, inspiring, comic podcast that I have found so far. This is a must listen for all comic enthusiasts. Great work fellas!! There are other spec podcasts out there, but this is the only one I’ve found with hosts that actually seem to enjoy reading the comics themselves, and appreciate the storytelling and art. These are two good guys who are informative and entertaining. Plus they give you heads-ups on great deals from comic shops like Kowabunga.

I am not being biased just because I know these guys or because they gave me publicity for my podcast, Comics That Work. This show is the real deal. Drew and Kyle are extremely entertaining to listen to and their show adds something new to the comic podcast community. I don't even sell comics and this podcast is interesting and fun to listen to. Check it out if you value your life and want to spend it wisely.

Found this podcast a couple months back after doing a google search on comic spec'ing. Have to say this is one of the best out there. Sometimes you might not agree with their picks but you can't deny the sound reasoning and great conversation that goes along with it. I like how they break down each publisher for comics coming out this coming week and with me being iTunes review #50 we should be getting a Previews picks for comings coming out months in advance. Yay me! I'm the bomb. Good stuff guys. Keep it up. P.S. I bet Drew has some nice shaven man legs.

I listen to a lot of podcasts, from True Crime to Dungeons and Dragons real play, but my favorite casts to listen to are comic related; as I have been collecting comics for nearly 30 years. One of favorite comics cast is, of course, Comics for Fun and Profit because I dream of selling and flipping but in reality have never been able to bring myself to sell a single comic; with the exception of a Married with Children # 1 way back when and I still regret that sell, ugh. Regardless Kyle and Drew are awesome and it makes collecting comics that much better for me to be able to listen to their insights. Finally, I don't normally write reviews but felt compelled to this time because I want them to start casting on that 2-month pre-order speculation, hells yeah! Also, I'm chili-and-hustle on the slack channel, a shout-out is always appreciated but not necessary. P.S. Drew, get some more coffee in your system, although I have grown accustomed to your yawning in the casts, not a gripe, just an observation. Ha! Keep up the great work, much appreciated here in Northern Vermont; also quick shout out to my LCS Killer Rabbit, genuinely great people running that store.

My comic math: (interesting)+(spec value)=buy comic. (Interesting)+(no spec value)=buy trade (digitally and hopefully on sale). Kyle and Drew have been invaluable to me even though I am not really a comics speculator. K+D help me determine future value by discussing what is in demand, what has low initial print runs or sales, and what has happened historically with similar items. They also sometimes help me find interesting books that I might have missed. I listen to a lot of comics podcasts but these guys are always at the top of my playlist every week. P.S. I also vote for previews special!

I've been a long-time comic collector and reader but you guys really rekindled my interest in going after some of the indy books from Image, Vault, etc. Because of you I was able to snag a Heathen 1 at a local con and ship it off to CGC. It's hard to find a good comic book podcast, in my humble opinion. This is really good simple conversation that talks about comics. It doesn't last too long and isn't too short. It's fun to hear their thoughts on what they think comics will do. I'm really enjoying this overall and can't wait to continue listening to future episodes. Do yourself a favor and find a good new comic book podcast and start by listening right here.

I came back to collecting with DC's Rebirth and this podcast has been a great way to come back up to speed. It helps me plan out my purchases, including variant covers to look out for and entry points for ongoing or new series. This is now the podcast I look forward to most each week. The hosts are fun to listen to and don't waste your time with the 20 or 30 minutes of irrelevant opening banter that other comic podcasts dwell on. Even though I try not to speculate too much and just collect for fun, I love the episodes where they break down the previous month's sales data. It's a fascinating side of the hobby. Keep up the good work and thanks for a great podcast.

This is a great comic book podcast! How great is it? Well, I downloaded iTunes onto my computer just to write this review. That doesn't sound like a resounding endorsement? You need to understand the context- see I worked really, really hard to get iTunes off my computer. It was stuck on my computer all svchost style and kept redownloading all my audio files leaving me with a very slllloooowww computer. So, I'm all like Drew and Kyle are worth the risk. I would write more, but I already did and iTunes hates poor people that can't afford AppleCrap so they keep intentionally deleting my amazing review! Here's the DL- 1st Kyle The Amazing Auctioneer gives the fastest introduction ever. Then, Drew reads and responds to emails and comments from listeners. Kyle also comments. They cover comic book related news. Both guys are legit and keep it real! Yep. Then they preview new books and talk lots about making money- or at least trying to subsidize some of our comic book addiction. Thanks for the Podcast guys!

It's good to have people not judge me for wanting to slab my books. I've been collecting comics my entire life because I love the characters and stories. This last year I've begun collecting for profit and reselling. Everywhere I went people judged me saying they don't believe in putting their books in a case... Despite the fact that trade paper backs and digital comics exist... This podcast is PERFECT as it encompasses everything I love and want to know about current titles. What should I invest in to what should I pick up for a good read and everything in between. They're consistent and easy to listen to. Keep up the great work.

This podcast has a great format. It starts with listener mailcall and goes into comic book news. They look at the statistics of the comic book industry to see what books are selling well. They really care about the comic book industry. The last part is great for Wednesday warriors. They go over what comics are good reads and good specs for each each. They also do a segment called "ask a retailer", where we get inside informatiion directly from a local comic shop.

A good podcast. Just enough fun and just enough profit.

A very informative show that balances the dilemma between collecting for reading pleasure and collecting for investment purposes. Best comic Spec podcast out there!!

I've been a collector and investor of comic books for over 40 years, and have mad a lot of money by buying, holding and selling opportunistically. I road the wave during the heyday of the 90s, but will also admit that I didn't see the crash coming as the market collapsed. As with any investment, knowledge is key. That's why I really appreciate this program. It's the only podcast I've found that gives a great overview of what's worth buying, what's likely to increase in price and what's probably not. The analysis of the sales results is done with a lot of insight, and a keen understanding of the dynamics of the comics market. If you're a collector, but also an investor, this is definitely worth subscribing to. Keep up the good work!

Comics For Fun and Profit one of the best podcasts out there right now. The brothers discuss ongoing series from Marvel, DC, Image, and other independent publishers and also preview series on the horizon. One thing that sets their podcast apart is their picks of the week segment discussing what comic release could have potential investment value. They also introduced an ask the retailer segment which is really fascinating look at the behind the scenes of running a comic book store. They also will respond to questions and comments via social media and in the podcast itself. They have gotten me to try series I would have otherwise passed on like the current Moon Knight(I bought an extra copy to help it get off to a good start Drew) and Nightwing( I had never given the character a chance really so I'm all over that #1 rebirth issue). Overall a really fun podcast that helps me get through the work week and one I think anyone looking for a comics related podcast should try.

Comics for Fun and Profit is a great podcast for the comic fan, and if you want to dabble in speculation that is a side benefit. These two brothers are great personalities and they really know their stuff. Give the podcast a try. The speculation episodes are fun listens (speculation is kind of like sports handicapping for comic books) and the review episodes are a great place to pick up reccomendations for new books to read.

Love how up to date these brothers are. They review tons of books, look over what is shipping, and have differing opinions. It's a great listen, and the frequency is perfect. Always worth listening to!

I like this podcast because Drew and Kyle (brothers) love comics. They are comic book fans who you would hear in any comic book store talking about what is coming out that week, reviewing comics, talking about comic book news, and speculating on what issue or series that could be hot. I've been faithfully listening for awhile and have found this podcast to be one of my first listens when I get into the car. I love the fact that they cover the indies and smaller presses since that's where my interest comes from. A little of the profit side and a whole lot of reviews and previews keeps me coming back. Great show talks about comics and specs. Very informative. Good personalities(don't wanna strangle them)which is good. Also like that they throw indies and print runs in there info. My brother got me into reading comics, so it is nice to listen to these two brothers talk comics. Where are these quarter book shows you mention in episode 249? I live in northern Ohio and would love to visit these shows. Keep up the great work.
