I’m a Brit born in England but raised in America. I’ve lived in America all my life except a couple of years as a baby. Between a Brit mum and watching every show on BritBox I’ve developed a kind of muddled accent lol. I use a lot of words and phrases that are definitely British but usually said with an American accent unless I concentrate and choose to speak with the English accent. Like I said it’s very muddled lol. So I’m listening to this podcast and a few others to get my full on Brit accent on before I return “home” in 2022. Of course my family in England is going to expect an American accent lol Let the fun begin! lol

It’s raining cats and dogs idiom in Portuguese!
Hello guys, first of all, this is Fabio, nowadays living in Brasília/Brazil. I’ve been listening to you guys for a while now and always wondered if I would have courage to write here to shout you out. I would like to congratulate you for all the work you do, I think I’ve been improving my English a little bit with your suggestions and for sure a lot of people around the world. Now about the idiom in Portuguese which has the same meaning as “it’s raining cats and dogs” in English (I don’t know if was about this one Andrea was talking about): “Está chovendo canivete”, probably Olie will know this one. “Canivete” in english means switchblade, it would be something like “it’s raining switchblades. I hope this small comment could contribute with your show... best from Brazil. AAAAWWWW YYYEEEEAAAHHHH

    Missing episodes.
Although I truly appreciate your podcast, I really wish that you give us access to all the episodes, starting from number one and not from 89. I reached out to you and directed me to your website to download the episodes right from there, but it is pretty time consuming and that doesn't even download them in the podcast itself, but in the music app. Please make them available on here. You'll make a lot people extremely happy. Thanks for reading.

    Guys, your podcast is awesome!
I should have written the review right after I listened you for the first time, and I am sorry for being lazy ass and not doing it. I listen to you every morning when jogging, I noticed that already after a month my listening comprehension skills has improved. I appreciate what you do and want to say thank you from the bottom of my heart! I wish I could put 6 stars of all possible 5 😂 NB: would be cool if you can pronounce a new word/phrase/connected speech 2-3 times so I have an opportunity to repeat after you. 🥰🥰🥰

    Worthless
It used to be a decent podcast, but it became really awful. Not much content except of endless “oh-yeah”, promotions and loud annoying laughs.

    Fantastic podcast
Spontaneous, rich, deep! What separates this podcast from other good ones is probably the length of the episodes and their density. That might not be perceptible immediately but it’s a colossal work. Good job!
  • Paulo Henrique Rebelo
    Incredible way of learning!
Hi guys, you're awesome and I'm very grateful to have this kind of podcast in iTunes. My life is very stressful and I don't have enough time to study English as I wanted. However, I can listen all podcasts on my direction to the office while driving my car. As you always talk about, it's an easy and practical way to learn and improve my English. Thank you so much and continue moving on this excellent podcast.
  • Jacosonar
Wonderful podcast, I am opening my ears.
I am from GUATEMALA but now studying Music in Miami. Your podcast and articles are really helpful. I spend like 45 minutes per day and the aftermath is incredible. Could you help ESL community mentioning how to use "already" in common situations. Thanks a lot

Awesome english podcasts and relevant themes!
As a self taught english learner I've tried all sort of media resources in order to improve my learning methods, from e-books, audiobooks and podcasts signed by renowned universities in the US to famous newspapers around the world and ordinary people blogs, however, none of them could make me feel like on a real everyday life context, where english is of course the main theme. When one is learning english as second language no matter the fluency level, it's quite easy to lose sight of what is indeed important along the way. I should say RLE offers a kind of enlightenment and emotion as the same as to go out on the streets of an english speaking country and just speak, I mean in a real life context. RLE rocks!
