    Pipe shows
Great episode. Well to call me an introvert is an understatement. I went to Muletown in 2024. It was absolutely packed and overwhelming. I will say it was good to meet people in person who I have done business with and know through YouTube and instagram. Me and a friend posted up at the bar and would take turns walking the show. If it’s your first time visiting a show I say, take your time, and get ready to take it all in……

    Consistently Excellent
Brian is the perfect host for a pipe smoking podcast. An industry insider for many years and across multiple areas of the industry, Brian uses his vast knowledge of pipes, pipe tobacco, pipe makers and pipe shows to bring out the best in his guests. His open, genuine personality comes through in every episode. Although there are many other pipe related podcasts, I keep coming back to this one.

    Worth a Pipe
Full of great information and entertainment. I started going back to the first episodes and it’s amazing how consistent the show format has held. As someone who is new to the hobby I highly recommend going back through the old episodes. It is very helpful to understand the changes in the business side over the years and hopefully it makes the listener a more informed customer.

    Awesome show!
I’ve been listening to your show for the last couple of years now and it is always entertaining and contains great information and guests. Whether you’re new to pipe smoking or have been smoking for years, you’re guaranteed to learn something new by listening to this show. Keep up the great work.

    Great show
I only recently found you and I listen to you all the time now when I’m out of my car on my brakes at work or driving down the road. Keep up the great work.

It Doesn't Get Any Better Than This.
Update - November 2024 the show is still going strong and Brian still kills it, keeping this podcast as the ‘Must-Listen’ it always has been! September 2020: Gosh, I’m not sure how long ago that I wrote this review, but as you see - I’m still here, I still listen, and I’m still a fan. The show is far better than it was during its first year and only continues to improve. I've been listening to the Pipes Magazine Radio Show podcast since the very first week that it aired and I never get tired of it. Funny, often irrelevant, witty, and enjoyable week in and week out. Host Brian Levine is unbelievably knowledgable about pipes and pipe tobacco. Even if you do not smoke and/or collect pipes, you'll still enjoy this podcast. It's really that good.

    Bravo
Regardless of content… I could listen to Brian for hours on end. Genuine, self-effacing and fun. Thank you kind sir for all you share with us in the community.

    Conversation Between Friends
I have been listening to the show for just over a year after taking up the pipe again after a hiatus. I have also steadily been going through the shows library. Lots of information and conversations. It is always a treat to hear you and Jon David together. I truly enjoy your eclectic selections of music. Although not every tune is my favorite, I appreciate the exposure of the different styles. The Vince Guaraldi Trio brought a smile to my heart. I think your rant was spot on. We have to stop answering phishing messages. As long as we answer, their “system” works. Keep up the good fight.

By far the best in this subject
I’m sure that I have learned more from Brian and this podcast than all the YouTube channels combined. Thank you, guys.

    Pipe EDC topic
I really liked your discussion on your pipe edc paraphernalia. I was wondering if you have a vehicle kit that you keep in your vehicles. I have recently started smoking my pipe during my morning commute and was wondering what you would recommend to keep in a vehicle smoking kit if you will. Thanks again for the great content and I’m enjoying the under 30 content. I am definitely over 30 but it is fun to hear the excitement in their voices as they talk about the exploration of this great hobby.

    Valuable Resource
I started smoking a pipe a little over 5 years ago. I discovered the Pipes Magazine Radio Show early on in my journey. I quickly realized just what a valuable resource it is. We’re fortunate to live in a time when resources like the Pipes Magazine Radio Show available to us. Brian does such a great job getting quality guests like pipe makers, collectors, tobacconists, blenders, and content creators. Thank you for all you Brian! Cheers! Barry Johnston

This is a great show both very informative and entertaining. I’ve learned a ton by listening and now look forward to the new episode each week.

    Great Pipe Fellowship!
Brian’s experience is so valuable and I really appreciate the guests he brings in. Absent a place to gather with other pipe smokers locally to chew the fat, this is a great place to sit and enjoy a bowl. I highly recommend this channel/podcast.

    One pipe maker only
If you could collect pipes from one pipe maker in April 2024 who would the maker be? And why. Listen every week great show keep it up. David Beach

Top tier pod cast about pipe tobacco
For current topics on pipes and pipe tobacco this is where you want to go. God bless and smoke on!

    Look forward to every episode
Hi Brian, I just wanted to thank you for your rant last week. It was by far the best I’ve heard on your show! Unfortunately I find myself unfollowing presenters/“influencers” that promote hate or ignorance of human affairs. When you began, I must say, I cringed… but was very elated to find that you are not only a gentleman and a professional, but someone I respect and admire. Thanks for speaking up about this sadly controversial topic in our world today. Happy pipe smoking, Johnny Waken
  • Magnum 207
    New host please.
It would be nice if the host would spend less time talking about himself and trying to be the “focus,” and allow the guest to use the Lion’s share of the time to speak and share their views. The show gets stale quickly because of this. The guests are always quite interesting.

The Most Informative And Entertaining Pipecast!
This podcast yields a treasure trove of information for the pipe smoker, be they novice or well seasoned pipe smoker. Entertaining interviews with a wide range of individuals across every facet of this wonderfully rewarding hobby. I always learn something new, and helps keep me up to date with new talent in the community, new tobacco releases, and information about events to attend. No dottle at the end of the bowl with this one!

Love your show. Very educational for the new pipe smoker. Listen every Friday while I lite up a bowl. Wanted to get to the NASP show but couldn’t make it this year. Thanks Ryan PS A song or songs that are pretty amazing Good Bye Carolina or Homesick byThe Mark King Band.

    Almost perfect
Brian does a wonderful job with the show balancing humor and knowledge of pipes and tobacco. He has great rapport with the guest which makes the show fluid and engaging. My one criticism is that some of the sound effects for the transitions are quite screechy and shocking to the ears. I know they’ve been there from the beginning but sometimes nostalgia isn’t a good enough reason to keep things. If you don’t change them I hope that you can at least turn down the volume a bit at those transitions. Update: Didn’t realize I rated this two stars; my bad! I meant to put 5 stars.

    Fantastic podcast
For any of you out there interested in pipes this show is fantastic. Brian does an excellent job as host and Kevin comes across as an arrogant pr*ck but don’t let that stop you from listening.

    A Great Show
There is something for all Pipe Enthusiasts on this podcast, Brian does a fantastic weekly show. I’ve picked up several good tips from him and his guests.

    More than pipes!
I started listening to broaden my knowledge as a newbie pipe smoker. What I found was a source for advice and wisdom. In addition there’s a fantastic piece of music featured each week which is most appreciated. I look forward to each new episode on Tuesday. A great listen!

    Sets the standard
Brian and Kevin do an excellent job of keep everyone entertained and apprised of everything going on in the industry. The only problem is if you binge 500 episodes to get caught up after you find the show you can’t stand his voice anymore. Joking Brian keep up the good work on my favorite podcast.

An awesome podcast I can’t live without
I’ve been listening to the show quite a while now and wanted to do my part and write a review - It's the least I can do for being provided this wonderful content for FREE! This show has been invaluable to me throughout my pipe smoking journey. I’ve learned so much and enjoyed every minute. For those of us obsessed with the pipe, there is no better podcast out there. Brian is a super knowledgable host who knows how to conduct an interview and distill information down to what’s easily understood by the listener. I could go on and on…but I’ve already made this long enough. If you like pipe smoking YOU WILL LOVE THIS SHOW. Thanks to everyone at Pipes Magazine Radio, you all are the best!!

Marc Dion and Rev. Malcolm… wow!
I love this podcast Brian and I thank you for all of the hard work that goes into creating new content week in and week out. I just want to say it is top notch! While every episode interests me greatly in one way or another (especially your musings on coffee!), your interviews with two people in particular really moved me and I have listened to each one several times. First, the interview with author Marc Dion was just excellent. He stirred my emotions with his vision of the brotherhood/sisterhood of pipe smokers coming home after a long day and finding a time of deep peace smoking a pipe - ‘that place where we all meet.’ I thought that was just beautiful. I cannot wait to read for from Marc. Second, your interview with Rev. Dr. Malcolm Guite was just so rich. As a pastor/theologian myself, I particularly resonated with the spiritual aspects of smoking a pipe that came through in his words. Pipe smoking is for me first and foremost a spiritual endeavor, as well as an art form, so what a treat to hear a spiritual poet speak to its meaning in his own life. I just loved it. Thanks again for your podcast and all of the work that obviously goes into it. It is a true highlight of my week and many other hours as I listen to ‘old gems’ from the past 500 episodes. Sincerely, Mike MacMillan, Florida

    Last episode with Fred
I have really been enjoying the episodes with Fred, man the stuff he knows and seen is great. Wow The sat zoom is packed with some stellar people! The English estate info was good to know, so will there be a run on barlings in the estate market now haha. The guitar music with Willy was really nice, he was the first “big name” concert I went to at the local fair in the 90’s. Glad to hear the JDRF tins sold well! As usually your rant was fun haha

    My Favorite Podcast
This show is awesome. As a newbie pipe-smoker, I'm learning so much and enjoying the hobby more with each episode. Brian (the host) is consistently engaging and informative. Guests range from master tobacco blenders to artisan pipe makers to poets and musicians. I also find myself laughing out loud at least once an episode. I have discovered that many in the pipe community are serious about the hobby without taking themselves too seriously... Brian seems to make sure of that. I'm in my mid-30's and plan on smoking for decades to come. I'm aiming for pleasant old codger by retirement... and I believe this podcast has set me up to achieve that goal. I can see aspects of my life that have already been positively impacted by the hobby and must give major credit to the great content on this podcast. Thanks Brian. Hope to meet you at a pipe show sometime. Royal Yacht Royal Yacht Royal Yacht Best, Dan Miller

    Love it!!
So good to my ears to hear a radio style show about a lifestyle I love. Only 32 years old but I have an old school mindset that misses the good radio shows that’s been replaced by cheesy podcasts. Keep it up my friends!!
  • MoeMoeLicious
    Listen every week
Really enjoy the host and the guests he brings on. I’m a novice pipe smoker of 2 years. And I’ve learned a lot from the podcast and just think its a entertaining listen. Love all the Disney info and commentary. And one of my favorite segments is the music and rant at the ends.
  • Peteinsb
Excellent Entertainment and Info! Great Host & Guests
I’m rather new to the hobby compared to many of you, but I jumped into the deep end. I work on pipes all day, restoring, making and smoking them. I’ve been listening to the current ones while going through the back catalogue. Fantastic guests, topics and info too. It’s entertaining and it is not one of those amateur hour podcasts. The host asks great questions and mixes it up enough so it stays fun and interesting. It’s not 100% deep pipe chat the entire time. I’m listening now while smoking some FVF in an old Sav. Bruna 123, working on an older Kaywoodie. Def. recommend subscribing! Peter @ RadiantPipes.com

    The gold standard
A pipe and tobacco podcast, in radio show format , for those who enjoy the hobby. Informative and entertaining, with a diverse array of guests. The host is professional and on topic, and the shows moves at a good pace. And his rugged masculinity really shines through, even in audio only format.

Excellent way to learn about pipes and tobacco
Having been away from the hobby for 30 years, coming back as an old-newbie, I enjoy learning the history of various tobaccos, how they are blended, the history of pipes and pipe making and a whole lot more. Things I didn’t care about when I was in my 20’s. The host Brian Levine is a pleasure to listen to and there’s no screeching audio or silly cutting up between goofy hosts, and very minimal off-topic bunny trails. Tune in here if you’d like to get insight into pipe makers, learn from experts in the tobacco business, and general fun stuff about this relaxing and reflective hobby. I’ve listened to other podcasts that deal with pipe smoking and have found Brian’s to be top notch and jolly good fun.
  • Al Beck -
    Fantastic
Thank you for today, tomorrow and yesterday. Your podcast contains a fountain of knowledge, especially to this 45 year old new pipe smoker. Thoroughly enjoy the how tos, history, pipe making, blending, reviews, cellaring, opinions… I’m coming to this hobby as a new smoker, my wife of 21 years just shakes her head. This podcast has something for everyone. I can easily nerd out, being an engineer, to the details. In fact I listened to 20 + episodes and watched hours of YouTube videos before even lighting up. Thank you for the commitment and investment over the 473 episodes so a newbie like me can learn and start off on the right foot. Cheers

    What I’ve been missing!
I tried to find a good pipe podcast a couple years back and had no luck. I have no idea how this show never crossed my path back then! This is exactly what I was looking for, amazing interviews, good music and the ads!! The ads alone make it worth it they have that nice classic feel to them and takes you back. Perfect to smoke a good pipe to!!

    Can’t miss podcast.
I’ve been listening to Brian for a few years now and I can’t say enough good things about this podcast. Being self employed I work in excess of 60 hours a week and it’s always nice to unwind with a nice bowl of Virginia perique, a good cup of coffee and the pipes magazine Radio Show Podcast. Thanks for such a quality product Brian and Kevin.
