I started following this podcast in 2018 because I love movies and tv. The hosts are fantastic and this podcast gives you varying opinions/perspectives about new shows/movies. I love the movie battles and debates! Y’all are awesome and I look forward to every podcast.

The hosts have a great rapport with one another. Topics are relevant and lively. Discussions stay on topic and never feel pretentious. No snobbery here, just regular people sharing their views on entertainment.

I absolutely love this podcast! I can always count on a great discussion about some excellent movie/tv topics. They always make me smile, pretty much every episode. I really enjoy their different views pertaining to film/tv...even the heavy hitting subjects. It’s actually very refreshing to be able to listen to a group of people have fun with a topic and they don’t shove their views down your throat; especially nowadays. Keep up the excellent work!

I have been listening to this podcast for about 4 years now and it has consistently been one of my favorites. The movies I watch have become much more diverse because of their recommendations. It’s great to be up to date on new releases on all platforms. The hosts have a true love of film and are able to discuss it in a way that isn’t pretentious like I’ve noticed in other movie podcasts. Aaron has smart interviews that I enjoy, even if I am not familiar with the interviewee. I highly recommend checking this one out.

This podcast is a weekly staple for me. You all are fun and light. You may bring up political things but these are the times. You can’t completely get away from political madness. It’s handled well and you don’t drag it out. The HOs are a little light in this dark. Thank you for all ya do.

Aaron, RJohn and Amanda do a great job with different tv/movies subjects and entertainment news and cultural subjects have great chemistry. Great listen

They used to be great. Great to listen to, involve yourself with either via the comments from listeners or the group on social media. But, over the last year, there have been multiple occurrences where they’ll incite debates by posing questions that can have very different opinions one way or another. Typically, not fueled by film, but by mainstream media and the culture of this country. After doing so, they turn a blind eye and let it pass. I personally would pass on this.

Great show for tv and movie fans. Their chemistry shows in every episode and they keep the listener engaged. I love listening to it every week!

This show literally makes me laugh out loud consistently every week. The chemistry these guys have just works. You can tell they each put in the work throughout the week to bring an amazing and informative show. The weekly topics are always fun especially being able to join in on the discussion via their facebook group page. These guys are great. Ive even gone as far as going back and listening to older episodes just to enjoy a fun podcast.

This is turning into one of my favorite shows....

I started listening to this podcast last year during Oscar season cause I was new to podcasts and I wanted one that was dedicated to film and I came across this one and the first episode I listened to was The Best of Battle Royales from 2016 I believe and I was hooked after that. These guys obviously don't take themselves too seriously and are nowhere near pretentious like a lot of other film podcasts can be. I joined their Facebook group a couple weeks after I started listening and it's the only group that I make sure I check multiple times a day because the community is so welcoming and everyone is very interactive, especially the HOsts. Thank you Aaron, John, and Scott for giving us such an enjoyable podcast every week! I'll continue to be a loyal listener for as long as you'll have me! ☺️

Found this podcast through a review written by "Steeler Craig" on another podcast. After tiring of the hipsters complaining about the same thing over and over and regurgitating the same Now You See Me references in every episode, I sought out a new movie related podcast. Thanks to his review I found the Hollywood Outsider and was immediately hooked. The conversations between these guys are easy to follow and feels like you're sitting with your own group of friends instead of listening to three guys make insider jokes between themselves that they cackle at in every podcast. Deep, thoughtful reviews of movies that are not littered with "ummms and uhhhs" it is fun to listen to. Keep up the great work, you certainly have found a new subscriber today!

This show has an entertaining yet structured format and the 4 hosts are regular joes that have the kind of conversations that remind me of the ones me and my friends used to have back in college. Friendly, thoughtful, but never stuffy, these guys make you feel like you just sat down with some friends at a bar or restaurant and started talking about fun stuff. Yes, that means explitives are sometimes used, but just like hanging with your friends it's a reasonable amount ,and usually to hilarious effect (Personally, I don't mind the cursing, but I have friends who do when it's done without context. These guys don't go crazy with it). They are just a bunch of funny and intelligent guys that give critiques about movies and TV shows that you can actually use when planning to watch something. The topics are always interesting and conversations are always fun. You won't regret giving them a try!

The Hollywood Outsider definitely stands apart from all other film and tv podcasts out there. These 4 friends bring an "Everyman" take on today's film culture that is refreshing in today's internet troll culture. Definitely no fanboy bashing here. Just honest (and funny as hell) commentary on tv and film. Give it a listen and become a HO! You won't be disappointed.

This is the one podcast I have to listen to every week. I look forward to every Tuesday catching up with the guys. I love listening to them because they live movies and it comes out in there discussions. If you want a fun and intuitive podcast about movies look no further.

So, a little over a year and a half ago a friend, Charles "big chuck" Patterson asked me if I would join a podcasts fantasy football league... Nerdier words have never been spoken, but I thought "sure why not" in order be a man of great integrity I reluctantly gave a listen... To my surprise the podcast was great. The hosts supply a variety of viewpoints, from movie buff, gamer, elitist and redneck, (I'll let them decide who is who!) that are informative and entertaining. Any movie enthusiast would be remiss without giving them a chance. Wish I could give it a sixth star

The news is always informative and entertaining, but they keep it brief and avoid getting wrapped up in rumors. The reviews feel like a fun conversation with buddies walking out of a theater instead of the pretentious nitpickery that bogs down other podcasts. "From the Outside In" is my favorite part, because it incorporates the old movies and shows we love, and the ones we love to hate, into a fresh conversation with a theme relevant to the week's current events. The only downside is that I get funny looks from people when I'm laughing out loud while listening through my headphones.

Great group of guys with wonderful chemistry. If you looking for some good laughs all the while getting the latests movie reviews, trailers and more, gotta check out these guys.

Great chemistry with the hosts and one of the few podcasts that you can actually hear all 3 hosts, with out them sounding like they're in a wind tunnel.

The name says it all. This pod is just four regular dudes who love Michael Bay movies. And they don't apologize for it. It's a funny and entertaining couple of hours of empty calories. If I had a complaint it would be that the games and trivia sections of the show kind of grind it to a halt for me. But other listeners seem to enjoy them so whatever. Fun pod overall.

Love the cussing banter between these guys-----Justin Macumber is fantastic! Don't always agree with their reviews and the films they cover usually avoids the dramatic fare I enjoy and bends more toward the pop movie/comic-book fare. Yet I have this one at the top of my podcast rotation for its honest, thoughtful and hilarious insight. I'm a "H"ollywwod "O"utsider for life!

I liken the podcast to Screen Rant but while SR has a few annoying personalities that tend to all agree with one opinion, HO's panel doesn’t always agree with each other about everything and they have some solid, intellectual discussion.

Best movie podcast on itunes. Very funny show, got me to see a lot more movies since listening. More than just reviews; they recast classic movies, tell you whats coming out, discuss tv, have a different topic of the week and of course the always amusing outtakes during the credits. All the segments are engaging and I really like how the hosts interact with fans on facebook and the like.

I love listening to this podcast every week. The good natured humor of the podcasters and their good personalities draw me in every time.

1) Smart about film, but not all artsy-fartsy about it like most critics. 2) Unlike most indie podcasts, these guys don't talk over each other or repeat their points over and over -- they understand it's not a conversation, it's a podcast. 3) Things keep moving! New segments add novelty. 4) They're communicative with their fans. 5) "Manpacking in the Handies"! :D

I've been listening to this podcast since about March, and if you are looking for a great podcast you should look no further. The HO's back and forth will entertain from start to finish. Their reviews are top notch and the comradery they give off will make you feel like you are one of the HO's.
