    Mislabeled episode
Thought I might start listening to this and sought out the Dublin podcast since that’s where I am headed next, and unfortunately it was mislabeled. This episode was about Albania. Don’t want to have to sift through to try to find the right episodes.

    Linda is trash!
Linda you are nothing more than whites trash! Going after 5 kids just because of the color of their skin! You didn’t conduct yourself the way the law states you should instead you lied and clearly fabricated evidence to fit in with your needs! You had an agenda! I hope what you die a low painful death! The least god could you is give you a life pain a solitude one year for each that you took from those boys and multiple by 1000! You are white disgusting trash!!

    Love love love!
I love Craig and Linda!!! I ascribe to their style of travel (albiet at a much lower frequency) and love how they promote couchsurfing, apartment rentals, pet sitting, etc. They have such enjoyable guides to various aspects of travel in addition to the expected location reviews. I also love listening to their cute kiwi accents : ) Cheers guys!

    Good travel pod
Found this podcast by accident a few years ago and have been listening ever since. Its a bit bare bones as far as intro, outros, and music but the content is always spot on. Enjoy hearing where the hosts are off to next or what is happening in their lives. The show length is usually around 30 mins which is perfect for my tastes.

One word. LOVE! Raw, to the point, helpful and un-biased. Love this show. 2 thumbs up! Wish I could tag along with them on part of their journey.

Irritating, vacuous…..and those are the good parts
This couple just takes turns chattering along like a babbling brook. Babbling. “We”, “us”, “I”. All about them and hanging out and eating. He sits far enough away from the mike that it sounds like he is in a steel barrel, she is too close to the mike and it makes her voice too loud. Somehow they cram 4 minutes of content into a 20 minute program. Unsubscribed.

    traveling friends
I have absolutely loved going through (most) of the archives getting to know these two and listening to their incredible advice. Their love for traveling and each other has inspired me to speak with my boyfriend about our travel goals at home and abroad. Thanks Craig and Linda for the advice. I hope to meet you out on the road one day. Until then, "Travel well!"

Best advice that other travel podcasts miss
Of all the many travel podcasts available, don't miss this one. Concise tips & advice that you won't find elsewhere, with an emphasis on beginners, but worthwhile for experienced travelers as well. If you consider the list of topics for each show, ask yourself why these most significant topics have not been covered by other more well-known podcasts. Indie Travel Podcast doesn't overlook the important details, and we shouldn't overlook this podcast.

If you like to travel, you have tune in to this podcast.
Craig and Linda do an amazing job talking about all things travel. If you look through their list of podcasts, you can see that they cover the globe, discussing places to go. But they also discuss everything related to travel, from how to travel and plan travel as a couple to all the useful gadgets you need in travelling. Craig and Linda truly make travel accessible for everyone, regardless of your income level. By travelling on a budget and experiencing different cultures as people inside those cultures do, they provide an excellent way of experiencing all the world has to offer . . . and showing that the world and travelling the world can make us better people.

Craig and Linda, thank you for your excellent travel podcasts! I love hearing your adventures while I am chained to my computer desk. I really enjoy your advice on travel gear as I am a gear geek myself! Keep up the great work. I am looking forward to more of your adventures. By the way I am getting ready to embark on a 6 month SE Asian Adventure - thanks for the inspiration!

Helping an intermediate traveler go pro...
At age 27 I've done a considerable amount of international travel, but only in 2-4 week runs. I'm gearing up for my first long-term international travel in the coming year and this podcast has helped me considerably by presenting a broad range of informative topics. I've only listened to about 15 episodes, but I'm hooked and plan to get through the majority of the series before I hit the road/sea. Keep up the great work!

    Wonderful
Very fun and informative podcast. Love listening to it at work as I'm planning my summer trip to Europe. Production quality is great considering the record it from wherever they happen to be in the world. Thanks for the great podcast.

    Too cool for the room.
Their comments in the NY podcast about not trusting the US government and encouraging getting rid of biometric entry to 'make the world a better place' were rude. You don't tell someone they have an ugly baby when you are in THEIR house. Also too much giggling and bragging and patting other podcasters on the back for me.
  • turtle-heart
    Great show
I really enjoy the podcast - it's a great mix of information and entertainment and Craig and Linda seem to be on a similar wavelength to me.

Useful for Newbies thru to old hacks
Listening to this podcast is just like meeting up with a couple of Kiwis (New Zealanders) in a backpacker hostel and swapping notes. I've travelled a fair bit (tho' not as much as Craig and Linda) and can vouch for much of their information. I don't always agree, but then no traveller's situation and preferences is going to be exactly like another traveller's. Nonetheless, I've also learned plenty of new tips from listening to them and I am sufficiently impressed by what I've heard that I'm inclined to follow their advice in any situation that is new to me. If you are planning a backpacking trip, I strongly recommend subscribing to these podcasts. Many of their episodes are also relevant for travellers whose situations suit organized-tour-style travel and suit-case-style travel, although you may need to pick and choose the episodes to download. Right-click on the individual episodes to display an EXCELLENT outline of the information covered in each episode.

    One of my very favorites!
Not only are Craig, Linda and guests are the real thing - travelers with great experiences and advice to share, but they are really a pleasure to listen to. A great mix of travel stories and feedback on travel places, gear and Internet resources.

One fantastic podcast, by two fantastic people!
Craig and Linda provide an EXCELLENT travel podcast with some very practical advice stemming from their many extraordinary experiences, as well as other materials they've read or encountered throughout their journeys. They are not only one of the better TRAVEL podcasts I have listened to so far, but also one of the best podcasts in general that's out there right now. While not as polished as some podcasts, they truly give you everything you can ask for. They are informative, entertaining, friendly, and even inspiring. They provide stories, reviews, and occasional interviews. If you're even the least bit interested in travel, this podcast will soon have you yearning to see the world. The best part? They tell you exactly how to do it.

    Helpful!
I just started listening to The Indie Travel Podcast, and have really been enjoying it! The breadth of travel issues and cities that are covered is quite large. I am in the very early stages of planning an extended trip, and find the podcasts helpful and inspiring. It is nice to listen to the podcast while stuck at work and be able to start forumulating plans :)

Good info but too much self-promotion
I enjoy listening to podcasts about travel and about other locations, and this one started out pretty good, but it is almost becoming a podcast about a podcast. There is too much self-promotion and not a steady flow of info. Also, it's a bit offputting to have all the lengths, weights, and volumes in metric - I can't convert all of that mentally so it detracts from the enjoyment. What's a 45 liter backpack, for example? Still, I appreciate the light-hearted charm and I love the down-under accents.

Oh To Be Young and Adventurous
I am living vicariously though Craig and Linda. I can't say enough good about this podcast. If you have a taste for world travel and enjoy New Zealand accents, check them out. The production quality is always first rate. The topics are varied and highly informative. Their real world experience makes them experts in Independent Travel. They are living a lifestyle that many aspire to, but few have the courage to pursue. Bravo.

    Awesome :P
The idea of traveling the world and interviewing people, taking audio and video and putting it on the internet for the world to see isn't an easy thing. Craig told me it takes about 30-40 hours every week just to produce this great material for us. Let's enjoy it and hope they continue to succeed!

“Experience, travel - these are as education in themselves” - Euripides
I've been listening to Craig & Linda's podcast for over a year, now. Natural educators, easy pub buddies, road trip side-kicks, leaders, followers, and side by side (by side?) companions... They add vision and value to travel all over the world. If I had 'em right here, I'd hug them hard and buy them a pint. Or several. Listen in. You won't regret it.

    Down to earth travelers!
Neat couple who are not independently wealthy and therefore they have learned and share all kinds of tricks for getting around on a budget. Very good traveler's travel info. Nice repartee between them.
  • pixierazz
    great travel tips!
I found this podcast when I started planning my round the world trip and it has almost everything I was looking for- great packing tips and lists, good intoductions of different cities, and interesting interviews. I would listen to it even if I didn't have a specific trip I was getting ready for- it is full of really great advice and ideas for whenever you do decide to pick up and go!
  • Ottsworld
Great travel advice no one tells you...
I've been a listener of the Indie Travel Podcast now for 2 1/2 years! I started listening to it when I was planning a trip around the world. It has grown and improved over time providing really great travel tips that guidebooks don't; such as how to slim down your packing, how to stay in a hostel, and how to travel solo. It's a wealth of info that I couldn't have traveled without!
  • Everything Everywhere
One of the best travel podcasts on the internet
Craig and Linda have put together one of the best travel podcasts on the Internet. They are out there really traveling, visiting foreign countries, keeping it real while they are producing shows. If you are interested in backpacking, independent travel (travel without a tour group), or long term travel, you need to listen to this every week.
  • CO_Gaucho
    Look no further...
I have listened to Craig and Linda from early on in their podcasting adventure and the quality of the content and delivery has only gotten better. Now with the enhanced podcast and video podcast I can enjoy their current location visually as well. Not over produced, just great travel info. Keep up the great work!
