“ I just want a woman in the white house “
How incredibly shallow, of everything that’s going on atm, the Ja Ja is your main priority. Sad, really sad.

    So much fun!
I adore these four hosts and their banter. They make me smile, make me laugh, and keep me company when I have insomnia. They are good-hearted people and friends to their fans. And I love how they’ve been buddies for so long. The more you listen, they more you’ll love their humor.

    For Fans of Group Discussions
If you prefer 2-person discussions, this isn’t for you as it often features several participants talking over one another. Like with any podcast, I’m sure you’d get used to everyone going into random skits and talking over each other if you listened long enough. I have a few podcasts I follow that do the same despite my preference for discussions that don’t regularly go on tangents. This isn’t an aggressive review. Ultimately you like this style OR you find time to become accustomed to the hosts. Unfortunately there are too many pods these days to get through, so it’s not for me. I like their choice of films but grew impatient. If you prefer busy group pods then check it out.

Been a listener for 10 years.
These guys got me though middle school, high school and college. Every time I tune in it’s like having a convo with great friends.

    Ehhh
9/11 jokes ruined it for me.

    Really disappointed...
I tried this podcast out because it came highly recommended and I was looking for a horror show. What I wasn’t looking for was a political show. I get it, you don’t like the President, but when people tune into your show, they’re looking for discussion of horror-related topics, not personal feelings about the political climate. I’m pretty disappointed in what I got with this episode. Honestly, I couldn’t even make it through the opening due to all the vitriol. I expected better.

    My favorite
NOTLP has been my favorite podcast since I started listening to it several years ago. I love the group’s chemistry, humor, and lighthearted attitude. It’s definitely not for everyone. It’s mostly friends sitting around talking. If that isn’t your cup of tea then you probably won’t like it.

    El sucko
I was excited to see a new horror podcast. But then I noticed it claimed it was: "the longest running horror podcast" I thought🤔 "why haven't I heard of it before"? Then I listened to it....and realized why I've never heard of it before. I mean, if you're interested in listening to school kids giggle amongst each other while they "Talk horror" then give it a listen. 🤔 Actually, I don't know their age, just their "mature graphic content" warning should be relabeled "immature graphic content" it's just not for me. Apples and oranges I guess? I gave it 2 stars because : 1* they have a podcast & they tried. 2* it inspired me to start my own podcast.

    Best podcast ever!!
I’m not sure why it took me so long to rate this show. I’ve been listening forever and find myself listening to past episodes again and again. It is truly the GBBO of horror podcasts/podcasts in general.
  • Justifiably Brilliant
    An ugly mess
This podcast originates out of Cincinnati, a town short on culture, but long on unemployed hillbillies. In spite of that, this group of casters seems to like it there. The participants here constantly talk (or shout) over one another, there is little to no continuity. One member of the group claims to be some sort of "mental health professional". If he has any degree above an associates, I'll kiss his butt in front of 21c downtown. The lone female of the group is hyper-opinionated and shrewish beyond belief. There is an air of misogyny and homophobia just below the surface here...to be avoided.

    You down with NOTLP?
One of the best out there. They don't take themselves too seriously and you can tell they're having a great time. It's just a good, solid podcast full of laughs and horror movies. Definitely worth a listen.

    You will love it!!
This is seriously my favorite podcast, and if you found your way to reading these reviews, I bet you will love it! It's about horror, sci-fi and fantasy, sure ... but more than anything, it's about those wide-ranging conversations that friends who like movies tend to get into. And it's awesome! Fun, thoughtful, extremely irreverent, and a great way to spend time every week. To quote their theme song: "In a world where evil isn't always just pretend, and it seems as though the darkness never ends ... give me lots of popcorn and some time that I can spend, to watch some monster movies with my friends."
  • Webb_walker
    Podcast for the living dead.
I tried to give this podcast a chance because I love anything horror. However, it's the most boring podcast I've ever heard. Nothing is researched. Hardly any valuable information. 400+ episodes but hardly any followers. I was on board as listening to this podcast as something to fall asleep to until I heard one of the females laugh. Yikes!
  • The Man Known as Hammer
    Comedy
For me this podcast would work better if the hosts found the comedy from the horror films they are talking about instead of front-loading the comedy like a Bob & Tom show or something. That said, tons of people love it, so check it out for yourself.

    Hilarious Horror Podcast
NOTLP is an elder statesman of the podcasting world, and I'm glad I finally took the time to listen to it. The banter is great, the hosts are funny and knowledgeable without being too obtuse or obscure, and the format draws you in, as if you've been listening forever. Great podcast. Highly recommended.

The best show i listen to
The crew were some of my best friends just from listening to the show. Finally met them and they were just as awesome. Best show ever!
  • Lokigshhsd
    And that's being generous.
Boring and just some of the worst jokes I've ever heard.

    Great Podcast
I don't like writing reviews about anything but this podcast is worth writing one about the best podcast I've ever listened to. So do yourself a favor and give it a listen

Possessed as soon as I listened. And now a loyal Ghoul for life.
If you like horror you've came to the right place. Lay back put your ear buds in and get lost in a world that always offers a hair raising time. Just remember to shut your window, pull down the blinds and lock your door before you lay down. You never know what may sneak threw the airwaves and into your home.

    Screams and Giggles
I love the energy of this podcast. The dynamic between the podcast cast is fantastic. They provide great reviews and a lot of laughs as well. I always feel like I’m sitting around in a living room chatting with friends when I listen. Love it!
  • drajloomis
    THE BEST.
NOTLP makes you feel like you're having the most amazing horror movie conversation with your best buds. They are always on-point, funny, and entertaining! An absolute must for true horror fans.

    NOTLP review
Freddy, Amy, Mike, Andy and Kelly are drop dead hilarious together. These guys seriously slay me! Love this show, infinitely entertaining. Great 'cast!!!!
  • the_guy_you_know
    Possibly the best horror podcast.
I'm pretty mad that I've waited so long to write a review, but NotLP is probably my favorite podcast. The banter is fast and funny (even when it's "sophomoric" it's all in good fun), and the reviews are mostly very insightful. The crew have very distinguishing personalities and mostly are willing to engage in conversation when at odds in ethics or philosophy, or just opinions. The podcasts around 2012-13 are absolutely hysterical, and once Erica left the show loses a lot of steam and energy, but is still a joy to listen to every week. I would describe the feeling of listening as, more than any other podcast, a weekly reunion of very old and dear friends. This may sound like a nightmare to them, but I hope they never stop. Thank you for being with me through some very hard times.
  • CN010
    Definitely Five Star Material!
If you're looking for a podcast on the horror genre, nothing is more funny and entertaining than this one. The only thing I would change is that the hosts tend to fall into tagnential discussions about mainstream media. Although still really witty and interesting, it tends to dilute the horror aspect of the show. But all things considered, the podcast is beyond great!
  • Tjlamb0518
    One of my new favorites!
I LOVE this show. VERY funny, great banter. If regular radio had not become a bunch of Big Girls Blouse's. afraid of offending ANYone....this show would be a huge hit in multiple markets. Great chemistry and I've now downloaded a huge amount of back episodes.
  • Podgong
    Pure Brilliance
I listen to dozens of podcasts and this is by far my favorite. These guys manage to keep even the worst of horror movies interesting with their rediculous banter. Well done guys!
  • Mike Boudet
Great Hosts. Great Chemistry. Great Coverage.
NOTLP puts together a highly entertaining podcast covering all the more interesting topics within the genre. They have their own style and great chemistry on air. They have a nack for finding new things you'll want to check out, and they'll give you a chuckle or two while they tell you about them. Give them a listen. I know you'll enjoy it.
  • Dude Dustin
One of my favorite horror podcasts
I love this show. The hosts have great knowledge of horror moves. They also keep it funny, and amusing. From Dustin.

    Best Horror Podcast
I can say without a doubt this is the best horror pod out there. I've been listening for years and it never gets old. It goes from extremely silly to deep thoughtful discussions about new and old horror films. Its a must listen! Warning it may cause bursting out in laughter in public places.
  • Danny Boy Skizzot
    Love NOTLP
I've been listening to NOTLP for years. Like... more years than I care to remember. But they were good years. So it was ok. Listening to the crew is kind of like sitting around and shooting the bull with old friends, only these friends have decent taste in movies. They have given me lots of great insight into movies I had never heard of. One complaint? We need more Civil War Letters. That and Eskimo impersonations. Awesome laid back conversational podcast. Love it.
  • Scott from Down the road

    The Funniest Horror Podcast Around!
Not only is it a great horror podcast, but it is very funny and they give each movie the coverage it deserves. If you’ve never listened, give it a try!
  • rootman4
    Nerdgasmic!
Great blend of movie (new & old) reviews, drunken nonsense, occasional serious debates (i.e. I Spit on Your Grave), and musical outbursts with info on upcoming horror films and events.

    Hands Down The Greatest
This group just makes me smile from week to week. Love the direct to video russian roulette and that they are all true horror fans…well except for Andy, but without him there this would absolutely not be the same… love you Andy!

    Tied for my favorite podcast.
I just discovered NotPL a couple of weeks ago, and I've been working my way through every episode. These guys are absolutely hysterical and make the time at work fly by. I love how they're not overly bitter on most movies and give fair and honest critiques. The only thing I don't like about it is when they (mainly Freddy) eat into the microphones. Stop that, eat before or after the show, it's only 1 to 2 hours long. Keep it going!
  • GhostOfNorris
    Low rentertainment
I've said it before, podcasts are the internet's version of cable access. Have the chick yell more, makes for great listening.

    Hillarious Podcast
I think NOTLP was actually the first podcast I ever listened to and I'm still listening today a few years later. The true test of a movie podcast is the ability to keep your interest if you've never seen the movies they are reviewing and may never do so but still listen because the hosts are so entertaining. NOTLP is one such podcast. It's a group of friends that discuss mainly horror movies and they make you actually enjoy listening to them talk about the dreck that they are forced to endure. They also veer off into random tangents with hillarious and ludicrous results. Great show!
  • cramerthegr8
    I love this show!
I started listening to this show in 2009 after coming back from the Peace Corps and it's survived me moving to Kansas, Alaska, and Pittsburgh, PA (a town I'm pretty sure they hate!), and I'm sure it'll make it to wherever I move next. The group obviously love each other and you get a glimpse of their amazing, and often hilarious life. I miss the longer shows and I'm not thrilled that they hail from Cinci (as a Yinzer I frown upon all things Ohio). Love this show to death!

    Wonderful stuff
As funny and effortlessly listenable as podcasts get. Sooooo good.

An Essential part of your Horror Podcast Diet
If you like the horror genre and listen to podcasts... stop whatever you are doing and download Night of the Living Podcast!

    One of the best
This is one podcast that has constantly and consistently provided quality programming in the years I've been listening. I listen to close to a hundred podcasts since my job allows me to wear headphones at work and the minute a new NOTLP episode pops up it goes directly to the top of the list. This podcast is not only one of the best horror podcasts but one of the best overall podcasts I've found. They are funny, insightful, intelligent, witty, and all without taking themselves too seriously. Listening to this show is like hanging out with your closest friends over a few drinks and just having a good time talking about the horror genre and occasionally obscure '80s shows. If you are even remotely interested in horror then you cannot go wrong with NOTLP. P.S. - this is my first time leaving a review on iTunes but I felt compelled to since the NOTLP crew asked for honest reviews on their show - the minutes it took to compose this is well worth the price for the hours of entertainment this program has provided me.
  • PerceptorPrime
    um... it's a podcast...
Amongst things that should be included in Weird Ohio is Grassman, Buffalo Ridge, Wright Patterson AFB and NotLP, the podcast that succeeds at making you feel inadequite as a nerd. Never have I ever been so aware of my limited vocabulary than when I hear them describe what they love and hate about the movies they are reviewing. Between filthy jokes sure to get you fired from work and poignant reviews about the movies you want to see, if you're not entertained it's possible that you are a square. Also, I find the group refreshing for an altogether different reason. I grew up in many of the Cincinnati 'burbs and never realized that there was such a fondness for horror in my neck of the woods.
  • SplitDog79
    Just phenomenal!
Not just the best horror podcast, but one of the best in general. Not to speak ill in any way, but my only complaint is that the releases have been irregular of late. I don't consider the crew to be monkeys dancing for my delight, and if the podcast sucked it wouldn't be a big deal, but it stinks expecting a new podcast every week and being disappointed.
  • Dallas Boisen
Best danged podcast on the intarwebs!
Horror nerds and casual fans of the horror genre alike will enjoy the amazing cast of Night of the Living Podcast. The chemistry between the cast members is unrivaled and their devotion to the genre and their friendship really shows through. It's funny, witty, stupid, and edu-ma-cational all rolled up into a little ball that's shoved into your ears, turning you into a giggle factory of epic proportions.
  • LPM Podcast
    a must listen!
