When are you going back to actual cases
Hi there, Enjoy the show, especially when it’s focusing on actual cases. How much longer will you be doing the ‘Off Script’ segments?

    Need new cases
The first three cases were so interesting. Since then. . .meh blah. Snoozefest. When are you going to do a real case again?

    Lost me with Bob Motta
I’ve enjoyed this pod cast so far. But I will now unfollow and listen no, due to moral ethics. Giving the very unethical Bob Motta a platform to spew his rhetoric is a huge turnoff.

    Had me at the beginning
The first 2 stories sucked me in and were super interesting. When they switched to the “who done it” type stories I started losing interest

Talking just for the sake of sponsorship
This use to be the best podcast. Now it’s just these two dudes, that don’t even seem to like each other, just talking for the sake of sponsorship. Not even true crime stories anymore. Please stop with the boring mid-week conversations and get back to have full episodes about crimes. They go on and on and on. 🙄

    Lake Okonee
Focus on the neighbors, seems like someone else was the actual target. Maybe invert the house numbers, is there a similar street ex: east or west. It appears that the victims were misidentified.

    Native American Missing
I would love also if you looked into our women’s missing and murdered. No one helped look for my missing cousin but us. Thankfully we found her after 2 years. Part of the problem as well is tribes do t trust and don’t want to talk to colonizers. I hope you do discuss this issue. MMIW👊🏼🪶

    You lost me on Occonee
I really enjoyed the previous seasons, but the Lake Occonee season was way too much of that guy’s slow southern drawl talking about that town and not really adding anything to the story. I found that I was skipping over every part where he was droning on and finally decided that this season just wasn’t for me. I’m interested in the case, but this feels like there was a lot of fluff and this guy’s opinions on unrelated matters. Hoping the next season has more substance.

    Gripping, well done!
Great story on the Oconee Murders. Sad story excellent format w/ interviews including law enforcement, that were inter disbursed throughout the story.

    Love it!
Love this podcast. Israel Keyes season was the best, Sowell was okay, Lake Oconee is decent. Hoping they do the Green River Killer next.

    Fascinating
Horrible people are the most interesting people to listen to. It’s totally worth hearing and I like when the guys explain the story.

    Wait and see
Keyes episodes were great. I thought I had found a good new podcast 5/5. Half of the Sewell episodes were race baiting, politics, and lecturing the listeners 2/5. Next mini series will determine if I continue with this podcast or not.

    Stop preaching to the choir
We get it, ok? Just tell the story.

    Brilliant detail
Just wanna say having Bob & Ali do some voice work sounded absolutely phenomenal. Thank you. Would love to hear more of them in the future.

    Scary
I am not even sure I can listen to a 2nd episode because I am terrified. However, the content is fascinating, educational, May even be life-saving.

    Really enjoying!
I like the mix of narration and actual police interview clips! I’ve heard and learned things that haven’t been touched on in other episodes. So far I’ve only listened to the Keyes episodes but I like hearing all the interview audio. I appreciate the deep dives, keep doing what you’re doing please!

    Really well done
Excellent research along with excellent production

    Not For Everybody
I personally found this to be a very well-done podcast. I thought that they did a very good job of intertwining raw audio of the police interviews with conversation with detectives and narration from the host. The reason I say it’s not for everyone is because of the police interviews - they are disturbing and may give you nightmares!

    Deviant Israel Keyes
This is a fantastic podcast. The details about Israel Keyes are fascinating. What a psycho. There still could be kill kids still around the country. It’s too bad the prison allowed him to kill himself. He did deserved the death penalty but there’s so much knowledge of other missing people that went to the grave with him. I’m assuming his girlfriend and daughter have changed their names and moved far away. I don’t blame them.

    Great podcast and thoughts
I love this Podcast. I thought I’ve heard everything’s my on him. There were so many details I didn’t know! What I wonder after hearing this season is, did he have communication with other active serial killers! If you listen again to the episode where they ask who he admires or who his favorite serial killer is, he hints more than once about well you mean ones that have been caught? I’d love to hear your take on that. I’m feel like he’s referencing other killers n line and having communication with them. I wonder if they could search his electronics for any talk or emails with other active serials? If they hey can find it maybe it could l ad them to others.?

    Mediocre
Slow, same old same old. Fundamentally disagree “some people are wired for good, some are wired for bad.”

    Great Series
Listened on my long drive and decided to take the scenic route so I could keep listening. Very well told! The Bob and Alli cameos made me smile :)

    More please!!
You guys have it figured out! Compelling and so easy to follow. This is my FAVORITE true crime show and I can’t get enough!!! Your research is phenomenal and I can’t wait for more!!!!
  • MF1973October
    Very well put together podcast
I love the detail and really just the facts. They don’t put their opinion in it very much. The introduction to each show makes me not want to listen, just weird commercial
  • Mybaby06!
    Very well done.
Enjoyed and liked the way it was played out. Can’t wait for more.

    Chilling!
I lived and worked up in the Olympic peninsula in 2017-2019 and often shuddered about Keyes when I was hiking through the rainforests or swimming in Lake Crescent. I lived only a short drive from Lake Quinault where another possible victim disappeared. There were so many missing people in the area and I can’t help but wonder how many of them were his victims? It’s such a remote and isolated area and the forests are so dense and almost impossible to explore.

    Nothing new
I’m not sure why people keep repeating the same story over and over. We have all heard his story many times, and this podcast adds no new information to the already overdone story of Israel Keyes.
  • Ms. NuBooty
Absolutely The Best on Isreal Keyes!
The investigative research and the retelling in such a way that keeps you on the edge of your seat. Bravo gentleman (and team)!!!! So sad to hear this is the last episode. 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽

    Look forward to listening to
Loved listening to this podcast! I looked forward to hearing new episodes. It’s been a while since that has happened. I didn’t know about this serial killer and I loved hearing the psychology behind him. He was an evil man. I also appreciated their comments on reiterating these people were human beings and were not treated as such. It gave some empathy that some true crime podcasts miss.

    What a listen!
Great podcast; interesting until the end. Great commentary.

    Don’t listen before bed
If you enjoy listening to a good podcast before going to bed don’t do that with this podcast. Save this for the middle of the day or after work. Here are a few reasons why you don’t want to save Deviant for bedtime. You might pee yourself a little and nobody wants that in the bed. After listening you might stay up all night scrolling through Quince.com looking for that perfect gift and get no sleep. You’re going to want to binge episodes wearing your AirPods and then they’ll be dead in the morning when you need them to workout. You might have nightmares and wake up scared. But if you feel you need help you can always go to BetterHelp.com and ask for help. While I know we may disagree on things, one thing we can all agree on is that Deviant is the best new podcast out right now whether you’re wired for good or wired for bad. Subscribe and rate today.

    Collaborators?
Every podcast I have ever heard about Israel Keyes is salacious and even sounds like the podcasters admire him. Listened up to the part where he was about to describe in detail the rape of a terrified and brutalized middle aged woman. The podcaster warns that the next few minutes “may be hard to hear” but that it is critical information to understand Keyes’s methods. Why do listeners have to understand this psychopath? We already know what’s in his “rape kit” and his purported “kill kits” that he supposedly buried all over the US. This is perverted and will encourage other sick people to learn what to do. Shame on you!

    Episodes are too short
Great podcast. I dislike the short episodes. It is obviously it's formatted this way intentionally to keep their audience coming back, but they could easily make each episode an hour. It's over so quickly, especially with the ads. Guess I should just come back when a few episodes are queued up.

    Slow and repetitive.

    Great Listening
These guys are easy to listen to. They have spent a lot of time investigating Israel Keys. I listen to them on Zone 7, which is why I came to follow and listen to Deviant. Give Deviant a listen, it’s easy and flows smoothly.

Possibly the best 2 podcast hosts I’ve heard
The host of every podcast can make the difference of it being a phenomenal or mediocre experience. These 2 guys will have your attention from the very start. All of the interviews and information you get in every single episode will have you waiting for the next one to come out.
  • TMKreiger
Heard about you through Zone 7
I'm so excited to hear about this Podcast! I can't wait to dig in! Thanks Sheryl!
  • Nikky Kelley
    Too many hosts
We don’t need 3 people reading one story! Why?? It’s confusing and not easy to listen to. Limit it to one person per conversation. Or one person per episode. It’s awful.
  • Kbell!!
    Please keep recording episodes
I am extremely picky about True Crime pods and this delivers! Amazing storytelling! Please keep up the good work. You have a follower for life.

    Great hosts
Andrew and Dan are great hosts delivering exceptional episodes!

    Impressive podcast, give me more!
I came for the Quince free shipping and stayed for a soon-to-be award-winning podcast. Not only is the podcast riveting, I also bought a chef’s knife to delicately slice my brisket and purchased a Quince cashmere sweater to keep me warm while I drink my ice cold triple IPAs.
  • brooklyns_onfire!
    Enthralling
Admittedly I know a lot about Israel Keyes, from other podcasts and the book American Predator. But the hosts really bring it to life with the interviews of real investigators, and people who actually knew him - the clip of him being pulled over and arrested gave me chills!!! Like others are saying I appreciate them leaving out the disturbingly graphic details of his crimes against people (and animals :( ) and focusing on the investigation! Can’t wait to hear more
  • vawc
    Great Coverage
I’ve heard single episodes done on this case, but never found a podcast series on Israel Keyes quite like this one. I appreciate the coverage and the interview clips. I also think critics begging for more of the “gory details” are gross. His victims were real people and it’s obvious that some forget that in their pursuit of true crime. I appreciate the hosts for the level of detail they provide, while still giving the victims some dignity.

    Gripping
This was awesome! It started off a little slow but very descriptive and attention grabbing. Whatever allure true crime has, this is the heart of it.
  • Jimmy Neutronic
    Yeah.
Israel Keyes has been done to death. At least four other podcasts covered him in depth. Pass.

    Tell me the WHOLE story
This guy’s story should’ve been told with more detail…trying to examine “how far he really went” but leaving out all the details of the crimes? If you’re going to tell the story then tell it-slap a MA rating on it and tell it the way it happened.
