    Newbie in Wonderland
I am still new to the points and miles world, as I only discovered this opportunity about eight months ago. I’ve been listening to a few different podcasts about points and miles to learn more and at a faster pace. Your podcast is one of my favorite. The topics you choose and the follow up questions you ask your guests are so useful and inspiring . I am taking my family of six on our first points and miles trip to Greece this October, which would never be possible without folks like you. Thank you for your sharing and caring. It truly changed our family life and I will be forever grateful to you ladies! Louise B.

    Don’t miss this podcast!
I always feel like I’m just chillin’ with my girlfriends when I listen to this podcast, it’s so fun (and I have learned SO much)! I started this travel hacking hobby a year ago. I’m on the complete opposite end of the spectrum from rich, I don’t have any extra money to spend on travel. In the past 12 months I have opened 8 credit cards and my credit score is 800. The cash price for all of the trips I’ve booked so far in the last year is over $20,000 and I’ve booked it all on points! (And I’ve still got plenty of points rolling in that I’m booking even more trips with) When I say these two ladies have changed my life, it’s an understatement. I have been a stay at home mom for 10 years, going through a high conflict divorce for the past two years, trying to figure out how I’ll be able to start earning my own income, all while trying to keep my sanity. Being able to go on all of these trips has helped my kids’ and my mental health tremendously. Traveling has brought so much joy to my kids and my life through a couple of incredibly difficult years. And I don’t have the added stress of trying to figure out how to afford them! In no way, shape, or form could I have done any of these trips without the knowledge of travel hacking I’ve gained from this podcast. Jo and Mary Ellen are fun to listen to, have great guests, break the process down so it’s so simple to understand. If you haven’t listened to an episode yet, whhhyy not?? Thank you Jo and Mary Ellen for giving me something I never thought I would have!

    A must listen!
I have been using points for travel since the mid 1990s. I initially thought what can I learn from these two women that I don’t already know. Well the answer is I can learn a lot. Without fail during every episode I learn at least one tidbit of information that improves upon my travel hacking. Thank you for a great show!

    Life changing!
Mary Ellen and Jo’s podcast has been LIFE CHANGING! My husband and I had decided that travel and making memories with our family of 5 needed to be a priority, but the more we looked into trips, the more discouraged we became. We were at the point that we honestly didn’t think we’d ever be able to afford a vacation, especially without spending a small fortune. I am so thankful that I stumbled upon this podcast! We are about to book our first vacation on points, and we would have never been able to do this without their guidance! The podcast is fun and easy to listen to, and has me dreaming of all of the possibilities!

fresh voices in points and miles
I’ve listened to a lot of travel hacking podcasts, and this is one of my favorites! Mary Ellen and Jo are fresh voices in this space--down to earth and sincerely interested in helping their listeners. Sometimes it seems like they are learning right along with us, which is part of what makes them so relatable. Their guests add a lot of variety, too. This podcast has something for everyone. Whether you are new to this game, or a seasoned travel hacker, you will find something helpful here. I only wish I had found this podcast earlier. I need to go back and re-listen and take notes on some of my favorite episodes. Thanks Mary Ellen and Jo, and congrats on 100 episodes!

    10/10 must listen
I love this podcast so so much! The ladies are always so informative and I’ve enjoyed listening on my daily commute. I learned so much that in less than a year, I used the information to book a trip for my family of 3 to Australia on points for spring break!!

Total game changer for family travel!
I took a deep dive into points and miles with help from Mary Ellen and Jo a little over a year ago, and I have booked over $15,000 in family travel since then!!! This has been a total game changer for me. I listen every week and have learned so much from these ladies. I love how the episodes feel like chatting with a friend, but I’m getting legit info on how to travel for nearly free! I am leaving for a family trip to a Hyatt family resort for a week with my family in a fancy suite all on points, including flights- all thanks to these ladies!

Helpful advice for points travel !!!
Fun and helpful podcast for anyone who wants to dive into the points/miles travel world. Mary Ellen and Jo give excellent, easy to follow advice for anyone whether you are a beginner or have been at this “game” for a while. Love the mid week minis, great for if you don’t have a lot of time to listen.
  • Jaash2000
    Great for everyone
I love the mid week mini’s especially but the American Airlines one was amazing! I’ve been doing points for about 4 years and listen to lots of podcasts on it and finance. This has become my favorite to make sure I listen to each week… they make it easy for everyone to understand no matter the “level” and it’s great actionable advice.

More Addictive Than Airline Lounge Snacks!
Knock, knock. Who’s there? Avios. Avios who? Avios glad I found the Wonderland on Points podcast before I wasted my points on a blender or gift card instead of a business-class flight! As a mom juggling kids, points, and the never-ending snack requests, this podcast has been a total game-changer! Their family-friendly tips have helped me stretch my miles way further—unlike my patience when my kids start arguing at 30,000 feet (which, let’s be honest, I’d still rather handle the chaos in the air than at home) Not only do they break down points and travel hacks in a way even my sleep-deprived brain can handle, but they also bring on the most wonderful guests with different niches, making this a true one-stop shop for anyone looking to maximize their travel. Whether you’re a newbie, a seasoned points pro, or just someone trying to avoid paying cash for flights, there’s always something new to learn! If you’re not listening yet, what are you waiting for? TSA PreCheck to your next vacation starts here!

    FAVORITE travel podcast
I love this podcast so much! Mary Ellen and Jo are so relatable…I feel like they are real moms with real lives who are doing normal trips (obviously some very cool trips…but nothing that seems completely unattainable). I love the practical tips they give and the way they stress that using your points in ways that works best for you is ultimately the deciding factor (I like how they don’t push first class travel or certain hotel brands only). Also, it is amazing how they personally interact with people in their Facebook group! Mary Ellen herself has answered a few of my questions there! I can’t believe how helpful and hands on they are. I definitely love recommending them to my friends ❤️. Shannon Speight

Excellent Podcast for the Frugal Traveler
I discovered this podcast shortly after I began using travel credit cards for discounted travel. After listening to this podcast and a few others for budget travel, I now only subscribe to this one. The hosts are full of up-to-date relevant tips and advice for using points, miles, and sign-up bonuses to maximize savings, and they frequently include interviews with master frugal travelers and highlight their success stories. I have gone back and listened to many past episodes and look forward to each new one. Very well done.

    Thanks to you!
My family and I leave for our first big redemption trip (and o Maui and Kauai) in less than two weeks, all hotels and flights paid for on points! This trip would not be possible without the knowledge I’ve gained from Mary Ellen and Jo! They were beginning of this journey or me and I am ever so grateful!

Try other podcasts before this one.
The hosts sounded very condescending in their word choice and delivery throughout the episode. Not sure how this podcast has so many 5 star reviews. I think friends and family are review bombing this podcast.

Episode 71 (about Hawaii) so culturally offensive it makes the show look bad
Content is ok but episode 71 with @Marionthemap was so culturally offensive it should be banned or edited. The guest’s comments were so ignorant and offensive to anyone from Hawaii or the Pacific islands. What a stupid question asking locals “how do you like being part of the USA?” Would you ask that same question to a local if you visited Alaska or Arizona or Oklahoma? Hawaii has been part of the U.S. only for the last 128 years yet this guest seems to think it happened in the lifespan of the people she is asking. The guest also goes on to state ““Fiji, Tonga, French Polynesia, Hawaii, it was all the same, like if you know Moana.” WTH?!? You’re lumping several countries people altogether because they look the same TO YOU! it’s like when white people think all Spanish speakers are Mexican or all Asians are Chinese or they’re all the same because they look the same to them. And using disneys Moana as a characterization of all PI is sooooo wrong ! While the hosts didn’t contribute to this senseless clearly ignorant racist attitude I’m really disappointed it was not called out nor edited out.

Review for A Dream Hawaiian Vacation ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
I just finished episode 71 of the and I have to say, it was exactly what I needed! Mari from @Marionthemap joined the hosts to share some seriously awesome tips for planning a Hawaiian vacation on a budget, and I’m here for it! Her advice on using credit card rewards to snag free flights and hotel stays is pure gold. I never thought I could make a trip to Hawaii happen without spending a fortune, but Mari breaks it all down in such an easy-to-follow way. Plus, she shares the best airlines to consider, even if you’re not flying from the West Coast, which is super helpful! Mary Ellen and Jo are such great hosts—they make the whole episode feel like a fun chat with friends. I loved hearing about affordable car rentals and budget-friendly excursions that still give you those unforgettable experiences. By the end of the episode, I was so pumped to start planning my own Hawaiian getaway! If you’re dreaming of sun, sand, and savings, definitely give this episode a listen. You’ll be saying "Aloha" to your dream vacation in no time!
