I’m a big fan of The Losers’ Club and Psychoanalysis podcasts and was so excited when I saw the initial Lady Killers announcement! Jenn, Sammie, Mae, and Rocco dive deep into the complexities of female-identified killers in horror in ways that are fascinating, thought-provoking, vulnerable, and sometimes downright hilarious. I appreciate their criticisms of characters and discussions of the sociopolitical contexts the characters and films exist in and how those pieces all connect through each film’s narrative. Each episode feels like a love letter to horror films and female characters in many ways and this show has definitely become my “comfort podcast.” I love this show, the hosts, and can’t wait to see what else they have in store!! If you love critically examining horror and female-identified killers (with occasional bonus hilarious discussions of hot, sweater-wearing actors) this is THE podcast for you!!

I discovered this podcast about 9 months ago, & I have never been more thankful! The female forward format + the amazing hosts = the perfect recipe for fun. It has swiftly raced to the top of my list of favorites like the gorgeous dark horse that it is. I urge you to indulge- you won’t be sorry!

I’m listening to this podcast from start to finish. I got to the Carrie episode and cried at my dress at work. From the conversations around periods, to the conversation about bullying. I lost it during the ‘Good for her’ section on the of the podcast. As someone with BPD hearing Mae talk about it even briefly (it was the episode before) made me feel seen, I appreciate Jenn for talking about her tough childhood, Sammie has spoke some of the most beautiful word I’ve ever hear, and Rocco (Spelling) is always optimistic and sunny. Over all, I have enjoyed binge listening to this podcast.

I enjoy the insights and discussions. I love the dynamics between the hosts— they all feel like my kindred spirits. I appreciate that they don’t always agree and have a lot of fun with each other. It’s a wonderful reprieve from the real world.

These guys are so awesome that I actually was able to listen to an episode and help keep my nerves steady while I get ready to propose to my girlfriend! So in a way the ladies killers podcast helps relationships!

I originally listened to Jenn on HV and fell in love with her deep analysis of horror films. I have a background in literary theory so it’s so interesting and fun to hear these discussions occurring around several different genres of movies and art! I love the rest of the Ladykillers crew as well! The conversations seem fluid but structured. I feel like this team really wants to hear from each other so the tone stays respectful, open, and kind. I look forward to hearing more and more! 😻😈

I am relatively new to listening to podcasts, and The Lady Killers show appeared in my recommendations. I’ve only listened to a couple of episodes so far, but was completely blow away by the recent episode on Lars Von Trier’s Antichrist. It is one of my favorite films, and the group had some very interesting theories and insights into the movie. I really enjoying listening to this podcast. If for no other reason, it gives me an opportunity to hear discussions of horror films from a different viewpoint than what I would normally hear. I am really excited to go back and listen to other episodes. Highly recommended.

This podcast can be great but sometimes the hosts will interrupt each other just to repeat something they already said. There are also too many times where the pod will be hijacked to go on long winded and sometimes unrelated tangents. I find myself wanting to fast forward every time I feel that happening. I’ll keep listening though.

Day one listener of Loser’s Club. An instant fan of Jenn when she joined and finally started listening to Lady Killers. I truly enjoy everything about this group, especially when you all shower love amongst each other. Looking forward to catching up on the episodes I’ve missed.

With references to Barbara Creed and Coil The Lady Killers quickly became my favorite horror podcast. Like many horror fans don’t have enough outlets to discuss the movies I love, especially from a feminist theory point of view. Please keep up the good work The Lady Killers!

I love listening to this crew discuss female killers and echo my sentiments, emotions, and opinions. The latest episode on Carrie has been my fave so far. I am a HUGE King fan and Carrie is my favorite King character. Jenn, Sam, Mae, and Rocko’s discussion was on point.

As a big lover of horror and feminine rage this is the perfect podcast. Everyone is so articulate about the characters they discuss. I find myself watching episodes that review movies I’ve never seen just because it’s so enjoyable to hear this crowd talk. Mae is hilarious and has such a sweet voice. I love the Taylor swift references Sammie makes! Jenn has such a great perspective on the characters. And Rocco is…woof.

I’m a big fan of the halloweenies podcast, and as a lady myself- I was absolutely thrilled when I found out about this new show! It is the PERFECT sister podcast (pun intended). It’s entertaining, funny, informational, and even had a smattering of depth and emotional realness. I highly recommend listening to this bright, hilarious and intelligent group talk about lady killers in your favorite horror movies.

I love the deep dives into these movies, and I love hearing all the different perspectives. The show is so well moderated and organized, too. Normally I would think that four hosts is too many, but they manage to keep it well balanced and only chaotic in the best possible way! Looking forward to future episodes!

I’ve enjoyed the episodes of this pod so far - knowledgeable, fun guests and hosts, interesting topics. One caveat: the episodes are SO SO long. Seriously, things get repetitive over 2.5+ hours. Tightening things up would be a benefit.

I could listen to this podcast every day of my life. The banter, perspectives, and the all around appreciation of women in horror makes for an entertaining listen. It’s a great addition to the horror podcast universe and I suggest you listen if you haven’t . 🖤

Honestly, at this point I would follow Jenn Adams and Sammie Kuykendall to any podcast they wanted to host, but the addition of Mae and Rocco bumps it all up another level. Love the subject matter, can’t wait to hear more!
