I’m not going to give you guys a low score or anything, because I found the interviews entertaining and the discussion between the panel interesting. But I’m a bit disappointed in the knowledge, or lack thereof, of the Evil Dead. For a podcast that brands itself as THE Evil Dead podcast, the knowledge of the lore is severely lacking. The book has always been bound in flesh and written in blood. That’s not something new to Rise. It’s always been the case. No, this isn’t attempting to be an origin story for the book (nor could it be taken as one), because it’s a different book. Army of Darkness tells us there are three books, all existing in the same universe. Ash has one, Mia has one, and now Beth with the third. Overall a good listen, but if you’re gonna market yourselves as the podcast for Evil Dead fans, please know the details a bit more.
