Love it!!!

I am a 3L and just started listening to this podcast. I started from the beginning. If Reb was my professors I would be top of my class! The content and commentary are amazing. You learn a few things, you laugh with her. I cannot say enough good things!

I first stumbled upon Reb Masel’s content on Instagram and she brought me so much joy during a period of family drama that I was navigating. When I learned she also had a podcast I immediately began bing listening. I even made my partner listen to a couple of episodes to help destress from the family stuff. Masel clearly puts a lot of work into researching these cases and her pride and joy in her work comes through with every episode. I cannot recommend this enough. Every episode will bring a little bit of joy to your day.

A must listen podcast! I’ve been following reb on socials for a while and have gleamed so much knowledge from her podcasts. I love her take and delivery!

Liked her on THT with Morgan and that’s what brought me here, but I can’t get on this one. I do appreciate Reb’s ability to dive deep into cases and to dumb things down to our level, but for me personally, it’s a little too dumbed down with the overuse of slang.

I love this podcast content and the host, reb! She always finds cases to present that are interesting, informative in some way or another, but mostly, the way she presents them is incredibly entertaining and hilarious. Even when speaking about incredibly important and sensitive topics, such as the legal representation for children in immigration trials, Reb is able to clearly articulate the important take home points while keeping the episode engaging and entertaining. Being able to do all of that at once is an art form! Next step is to hire a team to help you put out more episodes!!! 😉😌

(Happy early birthday Reb!!) Im obsessed with your podcast! One of your TikTok’s came across my feed a few months ago, and I was instantly hooked. I was really intrigued bc of the videos you posted about helping that employee/ horrible customer at Sephora/kohls (I think?) anyways, I’m in school to become an American Sign Language interpreter and I want to get into legal interpreting since I have experience in the system. I love listening to your podcasts bc I get a better understanding of legal terms, high profile cases, and the nonsense in our criminal justice system. Keep up the amazing work girly pop!! Reb has settled into this role perfectly. First of all, the words she speaks fly out of her mouth with total and complete abandon, all while succinctly articulating the information she is expressing in a thoughtful and engaging way with her audience. Rebuttal has the mass appeal of a celebrity gossip channel of which’s vehicle is like a living, breathing sentient law behemoth equipped with a juris doctorate and Type A personality. I find myself more interested than I ever could have previously imagined learning about law and that interest has stemmed from the extremely palatable and easily consumable content produced from The Rebuttal Podcast. Keep it up, Reb!

The best case law podcast that isn’t stuffy!

Love that these aren’t the same cases done over and over again. They’re more unknown cases (at least for me). Reb does a great job explaining these cases from a legal perspective and in an engaging way. Highly recommend!

this is one of my new favorite podcasts. ready to binge every ep. i love how reb breaks down cases and legal theory to make it accessible and understandable for audiences outside of the legal field. legalese is intentionally confusing and inaccessible. i think people like reb and pods like this make the legal system and justice more accessible which is dope and SO IMPORTANT.

This girl thinks she has it all figured out. Just give her podcast a listen and decide for yourself. I think she’s a certified smooth brain. I guess anyone really can get a JD these days.

As someone in the legal field I can tell you it takes genius to break down the intricacies of the laws of our country and make them understandable to the lay person. Reb is not only hilarious but brilliant and a savage! Proceed to underestimate her and all like her because of “valley girl” voice or whatever while she keeps thriving like the savvy attorney and business woman she is. The ep on Mapp v. Ohio was my favorite. Never again will I describe the Supreme Court as anything else but the Real Housewives of DC😂😂😂.

If we, as lawyers, talked that way in our job, we would never be taken seriously. It misrepresents the profession. It’s not objective- it’s too far left and liberal that its distracting. I haven’t listened to the older shows because I barely made it through the recent show. Hopefully the older ones are better.

I am a middle-aged woman (42) in the state of Arkansas. This podcast is an absolute joy. The intricate breakdown of the law, and all of the nuance that goes with it is researched and sighted. The explanations put in a way that is applicable and relatable to someone who doesn’t have a law degree but may want to understand more about the law. Thank you for that.

Edit 4/18/24: Reb is getting a bit too leftist for me and it’s kind of overshadowing the show five stars to four and if it continues, I’m just going to unsubscribe. I’m not a conservative. I’m just not Uber liberal. Edit 8/18/23: if anyone does not give this a five star rating they are either a crooked cop or a crooked prosecutor. Seriously, this podcast is that good. Edit 7:3/2023: I want Reb to be my lawyer, my bff, and my little sister. I want to have coffee with her every day at lunch and a tart pastry with her every Sunday. This is all. Original review: Wow, this is a great podcast. I know we’re only a couple episodes in, but I am obsessed. Keep up the good work in this will always stay in my rotation at the very top.

Do I love this podcast? YES!! Is it entertaining and do you gain knowledge from it? Absolutely. Does she give you legal advice? No! She’s not your lawyer. However, she does inform you of your rights and how they came about in a very laymen (sp?) way. Love, love, love this!!! I can’t wait to hear more!!

I love Rebmasel's irreverant attitude toward everything. She can take some pretty darn grim topics and find the humor in the situation. I'm not ordinarily a true crime podcast listner, but I am making an exception for my favorite lawyer and her upside down sunglasses.

This podcast did not disappoint! So glad she’s continuing to upload and provide new and fresh takes on law and knowing your rights.

I’ve been following this podcast from the start, and I think Reb’s impassioned and intelligent read of the law is consistently amazing. However, please take some time to work your ads in. They are bizarrely timed, sometimes cutting Reb off mid sentence, and the stuff they are promoting is weird and off putting. I get it, monetize your work, and I can certainly skip 30-60 seconds forward—but putting a little time into it might make me actually listen to them. Thanks!

Got hooked on this through her TikTok videos. Maybe it’s the 90’s valley girl in me, but this like having Elle Woods in my ear holes, explaining the world of law and all the Tom Foolery that goes along with it.

10/10 my go-to when I need to hiccup my normal business podcast type routine. Also — Reb Masel has single handedly made me funnier, more interesting, and a better story teller LOL. She’s freakin hilar and the way she tells stories gives me life.

This is the podcast I didn't know I needed in my life!!!

I rarely leave reviews, but as a law student and someone who works in the legal field, this is exactly what I needed. There is nothing more beautiful than a charismatic, profanity laced case brief. Keep up the work!!!
