As someone new to The Bible, I am loving this podcast. So educational and enlightening. Would highly recommend

I was enjoying this, but sometimes it seems like she comes in not completely prepared. In the episode I was just listening to she sited another book in the bible, but it was incorrect as it doesn’t exist Mark 23, but Mark only has 16 chapters. I thought maybe she would realize she misquoted, but after listening a bit longer she never corrected the error.

If you are looking for a podcast that helps you to understand the Bible and doesn’t push Right Wing Conservative beliefs, this isn’t for you. As someone who claims to be a follower of Christ and tattles on herself for committing adultery, you would think Dr. Stevens was a humble and nonjudgmental woman (as followers of Christ should be). At first, I ignored her conservative remarks about marriage being between a man and woman and being gay is a sin (as I am still exploring and researching these subjects in the Bible for myself). However, she begins to rant about abortion toward the end of Leviticus, when Leviticus does not mention nor condemn abortion. She pushes a false narrative about living in an ungodly world where women are having abortions at full-term. No woman is out here willingly having a full-term abortion. I came for a daily explanation of what I am reading in the Bible and trusting another woman to help guide my knowledge. Instead, she is just another person with a political agenda. I stopped listening halfway through Leviticus 19-21 and will not be giving this podcast another chance. I wish we could rate no stars.

I am really enjoying this podcast. I have wanted to read the entire Bible and have not stuck with it in the past as long as I have this time so far! I believe it’s because I am able to read the scripture (I have the Bible app read the chapters to me) and then I go to the next episode in this podcast to get further education and discernment on what was going on in the reading. I’ve learned a lot so far, contemplated my own actions/worth and I look forward to coming back again each day to learn more!

I am begging on my journey and am loving this podcast so far. My favorite part is when Dr. Melody Steven’s reads scripture and then puts it into her own words. Hearing it from different perspectives helps me understand it better myself. I also love the giggles and the character she adds to the scripture.

Very highly recommended! I’ve wanted to read and understand the Bible throughout my life. I’ve never actually read it all the way through. As someone who has ADHD, it’s especially difficult for me to read a lot of things and really absorb them, but with this podcast, I’m able to hear the word of God and think about interpretations of the meaning, and do it while I’m accomplishing tasks around my home so it’s easier for me to focus. This podcast is so positive and encouraging, and it truly helps me feel closer to God and lead a more thankful and intentional life. I’ve now read and understood more of the Bible since beginning this podcast than I had during my entire life before. That I can refer back to the Bible from memory now is such a gift, and I’m only only episode 50 right now. I can see the proof of God’s word, the truths that were prophesied thousands of years ago and are coming true today, and to be able to do that and determine right from wrong with reference to what God wants is just invaluable. Thank you to all involved in the making of the podcast! You don’t know how much this means to me.

I love starting my morning with this podcast. Dr. Melody is very insightful and always finds l something that I had not picked up on during my own reading. It really feels like a quick little women's bible study every day and it's been so helpful for me to maintain my goal of reading through the bible this year.

This podcast has been so refreshing and informative. I listen daily on the app and I occasionally tune into the YouTube channel. I love Dr. Melody’s personality and her beautiful singing voice. Another reviewer gave constructive feedback on the giggles but I personally enjoy Dr. Melody’s reaction to the situations and lessons she is reading through with us that are such mirror examples of the things we endure in our own lives. I learn so much from the episodes and it’s helped me to grow closer in my understanding and relationship with God.

Wish you would redo this serious without the giggles. There are so many nervous? giggles throughout your podcast episodes. I love your ability to share the Bible in a way I follow. But it makes me uncomfortable the more I hear you giggle. I find myself wondering if you are doubting your words or what is funny that I am missing. For example, I’m on the first Deuteronomy episode. So many giggles.

I’ve always wanted to read through the Bible and have found this podcast very encouraging. I work from home and the days can feel long, lonely, and pointless at times. Listening to this podcast brings joy to my day! Melody’s perspective is refreshing and I’m grateful for this space.

I was really enjoying listening to this as I read through the Bible until episode 3 and the comments on how the rainbow is used today, and framing it in a negative light (LGBTQ+). “sadly in our culture today the rainbow means different things that God never intended it to mean”.

I am really enjoying this podcast so far and am excited for further episodes! I really appreciate how easy it is to follow and relate to and look forward to this helping me in my walk with Christ.

Finding the study to be engaging and thought provoking. I have made it to episode 13, listened to a couple of episodes twice and still finding myself listening to one or two episodes a few times a week!

100% recommend this podcast if you’re looking to learn and read the Bible in a year. Having the book to follow along with and journal would be helpful but not necessary. I listen in my car, on my walks, whenever I can. All you need to do is submerge yourself in the word and you will learn more than you imagined. Dr. Melody is wonderful at guiding you through the Bible in a Year journey. I love that it’s in chronological order, it helps make sense of the Bible. She includes the thought provoking questions that are in the book so you can deepen your relationship with God and better understand the scripture. Highly recommend this podcast!!!

This is a great podcast if you’re looking so stay accountable! I love that it is in chronological order. I had some issues with playing and Dr. Melody was the BEST. I messaged her and she worked with me to resolve the playback problems I was experiencing. Can’t wait for the rest of the year to experience this podcast.

I love this and I had no problem playing. I have been in other studies with Dr. Melody she is a wonderful teacher. I am so excited to be part of her groups.
