Armadillo1979Freeing my sexuaityAs someone who struggles with expressing sexuality, this podcast has helped me see where my negative self talk is inhibiting me. Heather Shannon is unabashedly sex and kink positive and this has helped me appreciate the imaginative, fluid, creative, and sensitive parts of my sexuality. As a man in this world, it is not always easy for me to share where I struggle with sex or what or who turns me on and this podcast is helping me heal.

TimNATCUnexpectedThis took me out of my comfort zone for sure. It is interesting and not what I expected from a sex therapist podcast. I was thinking it would be all about x-rated porn etc. This is definitely NOT that! It is filled with recommendations for people/couples to get help and find answers about sex.
-

Sportsenthusiast35Phenomenal And Needed!!This is a phenomenal podcast!! I’m glad I found it! As a disabled man in my 30s, this is a show I very much appreciate, enjoy, and need. Our sex-negative society doesn’t discuss sex enough in general, and especially not around the disabled community. Please keep up the phenomenal work, Heather(and team)!! Thank you more than you will ever realize!!! I cannot wait to hear more episodes, and I’d definitely recommend it to anyone else in my community as well as those who are not disabled. Basically, if you are in any way as interested to learn about sexuality as I am, you won’t regret following the show!!
-

vcjcgGreat ResourceThe show is a great resource for virgins, new couples, couples/individuals with trauma, or people looking to try new things. I would even recommend parents using it to educate their children or teenagers. While some might find it annoying that she always goes over consent and safe sex, I think it’s an important and healthy reminder and I’m glad she does it.

American Veteran18Episode #49 porn addictionThis episode is powerful and hits home for so many men myself included. The reality that porn addiction is very real and many men struggle in silence. I appreciate the wide variety of topics that Heather touches on throughout her podcast show. There is a little something for everyone on her podcast that keeps things interesting. This particular episode #49 was so well done and I felt like they were talking to me personally. Heather I appreciate your knowledge that you are sharing regarding the numerous topics on your show as well as bringing on guests to expand your knowledge even further. Please know that you are being heard and the work you are doing is crucial.

the fallible mantasteful conversationsWhile, this is not my normal type of show. I really appreciate that Heather has tasteful, respectful conversations about what a lot of people see as a taboo subject. A lot of sex podcast get kind of crass, but not Heather, she respects that not everybody is comfortable with the subject and she does a really great job covering the different aspects of sex and that relationship with yourself and with your partner. Great show

jon the jetVery informativeI appreciate the facts and straight talk. Gives one many things to think about, but it also normalize is sex talk, which is some thing that many people in many cultures can, and should be more open to discussing. I love the discussions about normalizing conversation rather than shaming.
-
HKSernettFun with a side of knowledgeI listened to the Adventures in Sex episode with the author of that workbook. It was a fun conversation sprinkled with some good knowledge. I think most people who listen can walk away with some new information so long as they have a sexuality. This episode was pretty hetero centric. I look forward to exploring more of this podcast!

kristamischellEmpowering pod!I listened to the episode about authenticity and people-pleasing. As a former people-pleaser, her insight really resonated with me. Journaling and doing a “body scan” for feelings were both hugely important strategies for me to overcome the constant need for outside affirmation and approval. Looking forward to checking out other episodes.
