It’s fine. If you’re looking for an informal, informational podcast- this is it. If you’re looking for a professionally edited, well-spoken podcast- there are better options. The scripting doesn’t sound well-rehearsed, the vocal fry is grating, and the speculative commentary is a bit much. The topics are interesting, but, again, there are better options.

I really liked the Tanya Harding episode. Great use of narrative story telling and weaving in clips. Really loved the addition of the raw footage. Going to be listening to more eps for sure.

The fried voices need to go. The speculative commentaries go over board. Beyond that, nice podcast.

However will I fill my time while you’re away but with the same old boring true crime stories and celeb interviews… I need more broads! (But also, like, do self care and live your lives and don’t let me bully you into overworking)

I love the stories and topics but her voice is giving me anxiety. It’s like listening to someone who is speaking in front of a crowd but is extremely nervous with a shaky voice.

Love the coverage of contemporary pop culture phenomena (Scandoval!) mixed with deep dives of the stuff I obsessed over years ago, like Casey Anthony. Also, go follow their Instagram because the memes are perfect.

These broads are great! They break down historic issues with a feminist lens which I love but probably makes people uncomfortable. That said, those complaining about vocal fry need to settle down. They’re missing the point!

Love this podcast!!! Brooke and Daniela do so much research and have made it known they do everything themselves! I always find myself laughing historically and learn so much. I have joe they expand on topics and people I already know and love, but also introduce me to things I never knew about. So good!!

listening to the gia episode right now and, while it’s interesting, it could really use some editing. they keep tripping over their words, they sound like they just smoked a j, and i don’t really need to know what train routes gia used to take on the weekends. i’m not mad at long form podcasts but a lot of the info was superfluous. it’s a fairly new podcast so i’ll give them the benefit of the doubt and hope the improve

This podcast really resonates with me as someone who grew up in the 90’s enamored with bimbo subversion. I found my way here from their ig meme pages, so I was already aware of the subject matter. However, I was surprised by how much I’m actually learning and how well researched this is. It’s also legit funny. The cherry on top is knowing they have absolutely infuriated a loser or two with their actual voices. I love it. Brooke and Daniela are my people.

love these broads & love this pod! the ladies provide well researched, comprehensive content that handles its subjects with care. The biography episodes are in-depth and fair despite not shying away from the less than savory parts of the subjects lives. Their series on the Caylee Anthony case is one of the best & most thorough on the subject I’ve found. I know they are just getting started & can’t wait for more episodes!

Too much to listen to someone speaking in the cadence of a parady “Kourtney Kardashian”. If you’re going to have such a long podcast you should really be looking for info that’s rarely reported on.

For those of you going after this podcast for vocal fry or belittling their tones of voice, you’re reviewing based on your personal preferences and not the meat of the podcast. Just move on. This is a great podcast that gets right to the point without unnecessary banter and thoroughly takes you into the subject matter. Also the instagram account has the best memes I’ve seen come out of a podcast. In fact it’s how I came across them. Keep up the fantastic work ladies!

Babe, the vocal fry is part of the package. I started with the Bimbo history episode and it set the tone well for this podcast. I love hangin with the girlies and listening to them talk about their interests! My fav episodes have been the celeb biographies and cultural critiques (oh make me over, etc). Personally am less interested in true crime but I know lots of people are into that. Give them some advertisement deals!! I am listening!!

i had been following the account of one of the hosts who posts memes for a while now and i realized her and another woman host this podcast ! it’s literally perfect for me because every topic they discuss is a topic i was already somewhat interested in or don’t know about yet but once i start listening i’m completely hooked. they deliver on what they promise as the premise which is to give you a broader understanding of people and various topics. extra brownie points that brooke is from south jersey/philly area where i was also born and raised ! it’s been really refreshing to finally have a podcast that never misses. i’m deeply intrigued by every episode and it’s also been cool to get to learn about daniela and brooke from listening. they are really intelligent, funny, and just all around cool ladies. i hope this podcast sticks around :)

The Nancy Spungen one was really cool. Loved how they added clips from witnesses and the people around them but yeah, same issue as a lot of listeners. The voice that one of them was making was intense. She would sound normal and then out of no where it would happen again. Tbh I thought at first she was making fun of Kourtney Kardashian and like making an over the top impersonation of her by then realized it was just her. I really want to like it though and this could easily be just the way the recordings

I was very excited to hear this podcast after started following you guys on IG and realizing it was more than memes! I started with the Nancy Spungen episode, besides that the information was very informal and had no structure the vocal fry made it extra hard to follow the podcast. I tried other episodes and it was the same. Baby girl you need to see a doctor vocal fry it’s not normal, and I say this with all the love and kindness, vocal fry makes a podcast almost inaudible.

I spend hours walking my dog daily so I love long podcasts to keep me occupied. This podcast is super in depth and thoroughly researched. Also I love your instagram!

The content is great. However the vocal fry is…almost unbearable. I don’t mean this to be rude, like I want to listen to many more episodes. But…yikes

I’m sorry. And I’m sure it’s something that will improve with time, but girl…..your voice is nails on a chalkboard. You draw out words and it just feels super scripty. There are other duos who do this and they talk back and forth which makes the content cohesive.

I love the subject matter and I think this podcast is great, and it has loads of potential! I know it’s a brand new podcast just getting off the ground without a budget, but the editing pacing and music really needs work. I think the content is great, but you really need to work on polishing up the packaging. The background music is distracting and completely unnecessary. The editing needs a lot of work. I’m going to continue to listen because I love the topics you’re talking about and I think you ladies awesome. This podcast has so much potential. Just need to iron out those kinks! Keep up the great work! ❤️

Brooke and Daniela are so fun! They cover interesting topics and moments in celebrity/pop culture as well history and true crime. They are respectful, honest and entertaining/comedic about the media they are presenting for their episode on Anna Nicole Smith, beautiful, one of my favorites so far. I really appreciate that they share their own personal struggles with mental health as well. I feel like we are friends and I’m just listening to my hot cool funny friends talk about cool things I love in history and pop culture.

I wish this podcast didn't feel like someone was reading me the Wikipedia page of whatever the topic is. I'd much rather hear a genuine conversation between the two hosts. Also the editing is bizarre. Often, the ends of sentences are cut off and the sound quality varies throughout the episode, making it sound like it was recorded in 5 different places. Sound clips relevant to the topic are spliced in but never spoken about?? Improve the editing and the back and forth between the hosts and I think this pod could be absolutely amazing!

Amazingggg-Apathetically educational

This was legitimately the funniest podcast I’ve listened to in a long time. Brooke and Daniela manage to straddle the line between informative and comedic with tremendous agility and grace. I follow the Broads Next Door Insta which always has clever and witty memes/content, and this podcast is a perfect extension of their brand of humor. I can’t wait for the next episode. Thanks Broads for actually making me enjoy my morning commute! 💜
