Considered getting out of tech for a while and found her on Recode Decode. Her well-calibrated no-B.S. style and dry sense of humor still keep me going when the world often speaks in a monotone of toxic norms.

I recommend every parent -no matter your politics - tune into the episode on ChatbotAI and the suicide of one teenage boy in particular. This is an enormous service to parents, and anyone who cares about how our children are being exploited by tech companies. Do not put these people in charge of our kids. They have little concern for the outcomes.

I feel for this mother. However, why wasn’t she asked why her son was able to access the gun in stored in the house? Blaming Character.AI is valid but only goes so far.

After listening for the first time to this podcast, I now know what Donald Trump meant by the lunatic liberals. They think they are the intelligent thinkers when in fact they are naive fools. Swisher is leading the pack.

The interview with Ta-Nehisi Coates was excellent. I lived in Israel pre-Bibi. The country was beautiful and overflowing with potential. Then Bibi’s rhetoric inspired the murder of Rabin and the settlements and stealing of land from Palestinians took off under the guise of protection from terrorism. The walls, the razor wire, the soldiers shooting innocents exploded. The inability for people to access their own farms, food or water was made purposefully impossible to make living there so untenable Palestinians would leave. AIPAC has spent decades brainwashing our politicians and citizens. I should know, I worked there and understand exactly what is in all those “information pamphlets” and is said during all those meet & greets. Thank you for allowing someone who speaks for the voiceless to begin to have Americans understand what they have financed for 30 years. And by the way, going to Israel and seeing a kibbutz, Yad Vashem, and the Golan Heights is not the same as going into the West Bank or an Arab village that has been there for 100 years and speaking with indigenous populations.

I have listened to Kara for many years but the fact that she had Coates on is grounds for an immediate unfollow.

This interview was one every student, parent, citizen should listen to and talk about. Americans need to READ. The written word is most powerful when from the pen of such writers as Ta-Nehisi. Where can you find the books? Go to a public library…reading is FREE. Your brain was designed for learning and creating.

I listen to both of your podcasts and love your voice in the world, Kara, yet when you start to platform people like Ta-Nehisi Coates, you lose me. I find you a voice of moderation and intelligence, but when you platform people like this, you are giving voice to extreme identity politics. Big thumbs down to this episode and I hope you’ll do better in future podcasts.

Four stars instead of five after I lost track of the number of times she bragged how well and how long she’s known Speaker Pelosi in an otherwise excellent episode. This was entirely one-sided, ie, Pelosi never once acknowledged that they’ve known each other “forever.” Reminds me of the Hollywood types who line their walls with pix of them posing with Hanks and Clooney. Kara, your interviews make it clear that you have excellent sources and credibility. Please stop with the rest of it!

If you want to hear Kara get put in her place, Nancy Pelosi is the one who can do it. Great podcast.

Everything always comes back Kara knowing everyone first and needing to be right about everything. She is friends with seriously evil people but somehow she doesn’t think it clouds her judgment. She argues both sides of every topic, and so she’s always right... What happened to Kara?
