The hosts find really interesting guests and share a good mix of stories and information. You can tell they are really thoughtful and informative about the format and content. I listen to every show because of how they make it interesting. I do wish they would go deeper into the numbers within the story (cost for cleaning teams, insurance, profit margins, etc.). Great jobs ladies.

Im thinking of becoming a MTR host and find this a great resource!

I enjoy this show a lot as a Mid Term Rental host and owner. It’s a great perspective from inside the shop of Furnished Finder. What I would love to hear are more stories about those that are still coming up in the journey vs someone that’s already making tons of money. Like a case study with a panel. For example, I’ve got 2 arbitrage units a that are barley cash flowing. I feel like I’ve followed all the tips on the show, but maybe a pro could pick it apart and help me find the holes. Stuff like that would be helpful for those of us trying to build a successful portfolio.

Absolutely love all of the tips and tricks shared in this podcast. As the owner of an investment property I feel like I now have a better handle on how I can make my investment work for me while being a good landlord!

What a great resource to learn from other mid-term hosts! People are so smart and creative with the tricks and tools they use to make hosting easy, efficient, and rewarding. This podcast is great for the first-time host or experienced landlord. It’s fun to hear from some of the real people behind all these rentals in so many different markets!

I have enjoyed every minute of these podcasts and think Kelly and Katie are both wonderful hosts! I learn so much every episode not only from the guests but Katie and Kelly also bring their own experiences which I really appreciate and can relate to! I’m also inspired to continue growing my Mid-Tern Rental Insurance business from every episode! I recommend Furnished Finder to everyone I know who has a mid term rental! Great pod! I think Katie not Kelly…one of the hosts, inserts herself into the pod too much. Is she hosting or is she one of the guests? She tends to take over the conversation and cut the interviewees off a lot of the times. I think she maybe a great mid term hostess but is the pod about tips and tricks from other successful investors or just tips and tricks from Katie!

I have been in the MTR space for years with one property and this podcast is helping me get out of my comfort zone and leverage the demand I see. I’m especially impressed that the pod is hosted by 2 women- we often only hear from male investors. And having it sponsored by Furnished Finders makes it feel like the industry standard podcast for this market! I dare you to listen and not be inspired!

I discovered The Landlord Diaries podcast this year (2023) after doing a search for midterm rentals (six months ago I didn’t even know such a thing existed!). I listen to all sorts of podcast about MTRs on my daily morning walk, and The Landlord Diaries always delivers! The microphone quality for both hosts and their guest(s) is good (I am both amazed and irritated by podcasts that don’t attend to this important component!). The hosts ask incisive questions and let the guests share their knowledge (again, contrasted with podcasts where the host seems to want to talk most of the time; why invite a guest?). I like the approximately hour-long format —it allows a “deep dive” into valuable info as opposed to podcasts that only offer ten or twenty-minute chit chat bites. For future episodes: I know Furnished Finder offers some of its own software solutions and I’d like to better understand how different softwares might integrate with FF’s? For example if you do a combo of STRs and MTRs and have something like Guesty and Keynote and FF —how does that all work together? And does it tie into Quickbooks? It’s not very sexy but is important and I find it overwhelming to try to figure out as someone who is computer literate but not OTT. (Unlike y’all, a spreadsheet is not my dream date ;). I’d also like to hear from companies that specialize in STR/MTR website building or who maybe help set up the books or perhaps offer social media coaching. I am personally terrible at coming up with systems but good about using them once they’re established. Keep up the good work!

I love listening to the Landlord diaries because they make such great connections with people who have amazing creative ideas in how to serve people better and create a legacy through real estate. These are great episodes! I’m enjoying Kelly and Katie (easy names to remember since they’re both “K”) and appreciate them digging deep and asking specific questions. So far I’ve only had time to listen to a few episodes but the most recent one was Justin in San Diego. I loved how his whole family was able to travel together and do “real life” while he was conducting his business. And how he goes beyond to make sure his tenants are happy; his example of the ants and how he fixed that issue was pretty amazing! I’m not sure I would have purchased every ant product HD had in stock!

Kellie and Katie are great hosts, they communicate effectively to bring out the stories or the success within the mid term rental space! Great prospective from owners! Cheers!

There are some amazing stories in there. LOVE the ones where ordinary people quit their jobs because their MTR portfolio is performing way better than their 9-5 did. PLUS, there are some big-hitters that are crushing this model. Inspiring. Keep it up Kelly & Katie!!
