Laura from Mexico/SwitzerlandPlease keep goingElle thank you so much for your talks, I love when you touch on themes such as going through a second puberty when transitioning. The way you take your time to talk about how it does not feel very fem to shave your face… made me think about the rituals we do to assert ourselves… thanks for focusing on these “unimportant” details!! I became a better psychotherapist thanks to you :) With love, Laura from Texas

AlyoopsedaisyInspiring and InformationalAs a lifelong ally, I have recently realized that I didn’t know as much as I thought I did. Thank you, Elle, for your raw honesty. Your loving and accepting heart shines through! 🩷

Becoming KatieThy Egg has CrackedHello! Thanks for making this wonderful podcast! My egg cracked recently and I was listening to this almost continuously on a cross country drive. I came across so many “ah hah!” moments where I had to pause the podcast and talk to myself like a crazy person =) Again thanks for helping to make my gender exploration journey a little more fun and accepted. Take care =)

Old but openReally helpfulElle is well spoken and courageous. Worth a listen. She hasn’t given up on our society where we don’t (but should) take the time to listen and educate ourselves on people who are different to our experience. Bravo!!

masonmckThank youYour podcast with all its honesty and vulnerability has been so helpful to me on my journey.

Lord HermioneLovely podcast!I’m on my fourth or fifth episode and really enjoying this beautiful podcast. Elle, the host, has such a thoughtful, peaceful way of speaking. I’m excited to continue listening to her exploration of transness. Thanks for your meaningful work, Elle!

Bryn398STELLAR PODCAST!!!Elle and I have massively different origins, world views, and understanding of ourselves but good lord she sings straight to my soul with every pod! Hearing her talk about her life and how she got to where she is now is never anything less than an absolute joy. Her emotions can be felt in every sentence. As a newly out trans girly it is SO empowering to hear you speak with such joy and love. Never stop being you and thank you so much for all the joy you bring to the world!!!

Need fix!A reassuring voiceHello, Your mention of Wild Geese resonated with me today. I've written before to thank you for your voice which I often yearn for on dark days (today being one). I'm a mom to a 15 year old trans teen. She was recently abandoned by her 'friend' group and today I was listening to your recent post when I received a text from a mom of one of my daughters ex friends telling me of how awkward it was for her to pass me in her car because she 'still likes me'. Later that afternoon when my husband was walking our dog - two kids yelled at him that he should 'be ashamed'. That echoed horribly. So I pulled out my Mary Oliver book and read "Wild Geese" and another favorite "The Journey' again and again. So I will to you repeat my thanks for your voice and your words. They do make a difference.

DrAdventureWouldn’t Ever miss a showElle, Just wanted to thank you for the podcast. I started listening in November 2022 and wait with anticipation for each new episode. I am one month post-op from bottom surgery and have been listening while dilating. I was very interested in this week’s episode concerning tattoos. Having just had surgery, I don’t think most people appreciate what a journey it is and what motivates us. Am wondering if you have anything to say about this? Andie V.

WaWaDubzThoughtful and provocativeI enjoyed you when you spoke at the church in Washington. In fact, you were my favorite of the crew there. I feel blessed to have been able to find your podcast, to continue being able to hear you teach, profess, and share your mind and heart. Keep up the great work!

SpanishisgreatA loving and authentic personal accountI’m the mom of a transgender teenage girl and I absolutely love hearing Elle’s perspective. She has such a genuine and honest way of telling her story that it makes me feel like I’m talking with a friend. She doesn’t shy away from hard topics but she always reveals her abiding hope and optimism about people and the world. I especially appreciated hearing her book and movie reviews and would love for her to do more of those. I also really value her position as a person of faith and feel that she has a unique perspective on how the church has responded to and can respond to transgender people. Thank you so much for this podcast, Elle. I look forward to hearing more from you! ❤️🏳️⚧️

Ellen EastridgeThank you…I was referred to this podcast by a colleague I befriended when introduced to a new workplace. It has become an interesting dive into topics that I have thought about myself and it’s a nice reminder that indeed, I am not the only one out there. Now, if only the folks who I worked with for 20 years before this employment shift would get why I jokingly ask them “who?” when they dead name/gender me. 🤦🏼♀️🫶🏻

Katherine (not) HepburnSo terribly importantAs a recently out trans woman, Elle has created an incredibly important and bountiful gift with her podcast. Not only is she kind and empathetic, she is also incredibly comprehensive in the topics that she discusses. Not only do I listen to her, I re listen to her. I am eternally grateful that I found her podcast.

Chuck DumpsterWant to be viewed as just a female, yet take any chance to self-label “TRANS-female”Its ashamed that full-grown, productive, honest and hard working adult people have been psyopped this severely. I say this with peace and love. It hurts my soul that the governing forces encouraging people to transition are mocking these people, tricking , deceiving and encouraging innocent people to take part in a psychic humiliation ritual. Yet they smile in their faces and deceive them to think everyone hates them. Our government is pure evil. And i wish the majority trans community understood that.

capoicapoix2Am I transgender?I have listened to all of your podcasts. Much of what you posit is interesting to me as a trans woman. I relate so much to the idea of wanting to wake up female. After many years I have realized I have always been a woman. I see that trans folx all have a path to transition but ultimately it does involve self realization or knowledge that impacts our trans identity. I can only speak for my individual journey but I find comfort in knowing that transition happens for others and we are not living a lie. Hugs, Billie from Texas.

Joyful_girl_Very relatable!Great podcast! It was just recommended to me and so far I’ve really enjoyed the episodes about parenting and about trans joy especially. As a trans parent of a cis kid the parenting one was very relatable! Was so close to my experience it almost felt like my story was being told there, so nice to know someone else went through the same thing!
-
HolmespikaSuch a great podcast! So many relatable topics, especially for someone still questioning and exploring.

JimmythejugLove this podcastI’ve been working my way through the episodes and I know that I’ll be a little sad when I get caught up. Elle has kept me company since I started listening to her. She has helped me to feel less alone during those periods of dysphoria and doubt that hit all of us from time to time. Thank you, Elle, for sharing your stories and insights with us!
-
BrewtyGreat insightI am an ally and recently found this podcast. I grew up enjoying hearing Elle preach at church and this podcast is a great opportunity to hear Elle speaking about important topics once again. I find myself learning, smiling and laughing along with the episodes. Keep up the great work!

Zetta/ZedCommunityThank you Elle for continuing your podcast as you went through school, training and a new career. It means so much to me to hear other trans stories and how people are flourishing. It’s important to balance the scary and sad realities that LGBTQ people are facing with the joys and triumphs our folx have as well. In times like this I feel as though my queer joy is in itself a protest to the patriarchy. We’re not going anywhere and I’ve decided that I am not buried. I am planted. It’s time to grow.
-
GwênlynHonest and delightfulI’ve listened to every single episode and whenever a new one comes out, I listen to it before anything else. Elle’s openness and honesty are hugely commendable.

ajohn76!I look forward to listening every week!I love this podcast. Elle, thank you sharing what it means to be transgender. My spouse came out to me as trans a year and a half ago after 23 years of marriage. Discovering your podcast has been a big help to us both. We appreciate you Elle! Thank you for putting yourself out here. ❤️ Would you ever consider making an episode with your wife? As a cis spouse, I would love to hear how she has transitioned along with you.

JazzyMcD95Thank YouThank you for being brave, vulnerable and living into courage. As a Black trans woman I often feel isolated and unseen. Your podcast has created a sense of belonging that I did not think was possible. Thank you for providing mirrors and windows into the experiences of trans women everywhere. -Your trans sister, Jasmine M.

reesevansA Wonderful ShowElle seems to speaks directly to me,. I started my transition at the age of 69, six years ago. It has been a mix of joy and sorrow, it cost me my marriage and connection with some of my extended. I have not been attacked but I have experienced my share of dismissal from the patriarchy. But I have grown so much and now I feel like a real human being. Elle, speaks so honestly about the issues and problems I’ve experienced and reminds me of what grace looks like. I am thankful for her wisdom. Keep it up. Elle, you are a light in a terrible time. Celia

-Christine-BHonest and insightfulI found this podcast right after my oldest came out as trans when I was looking for resources on how to understand and support her. This podcast has helped me in so many ways with understanding what transgender means and the struggles and challenges that come with it. I appreciate the raw honesty of Elle and the many topics that she covers and feel like it has helped me as a parent of a transgender child.

MeadowfenceSo Helpful & Insightful!I am so glad 8 found this podcast! Listening to the ‘Am I Transgender?’ series has really been useful to me as a reminder of my own experience. I am at the point in my transition where I’ve come out and am waiting for my first appointment to get FHT. I am SO excited to finally be resolving this. This podcast is so succinctly real and I love Elle’s calm, kind, beautiful voice. By the way, I think that movie Elle mentions in part 2 of her series might be ‘Zerophilia’ — Kelly Le Brock I finally got to clandestinely watch that one night in 2006 when my then-wife was gone on a girl’s weekend. I am finally being open and honest and can hardly wait to be able to go on my own girl’s weekends where I can just be a girl rather than hiding and wishing.
-
EverlandExcellent resourceThanks to this show and a few others. I’ve finally began my transition. Thanks Elle, keep up the good work. You are making a difference.
