Pleasantly surprised that when Reese misses a show it overall improves

I just started to listen to the podcast again after the summer break… It seems like these past few episodes aren’t mixed in surround sound. I listen my car and it’s like the sound is isolated to the front driver speaker only.

I just listened to 8/28 episode wanting to get some information about the matchups for the weekend and all the guys talked about was the Michigan thing with Connor Stallion. I don’t care! Come on guys. Talk more about the matchups. I’m not ok with cheating but why are you talking so much about it when there really isn’t any punishment being handed out that affects the games. It just got tedious to listen to. This happens way too much on this show. They waste time talking about insignificant things, like the kind of pizza someone likes.

I love the podcast, please stop covering college basketball. This should be college football only. If you want to start a basketball one, go ahead. But this to me is a college football podcast. Make it that way and you’ve got 5 stars.

Every week I look forward to seeing what Pete and Reese come up with. As a passion fan, I don’t always agree with them, but it does create food for thought. I listen to sports talk on the radio and it’s always so predictable what they are going to talk about. I don’t get that vibe with this podcast.

Reece Davis takes on gambling and the fact only 2 people can coach Kentucky have me done with anything he is involved in.

This platform has allowed Fran Brown to share his “dream” path and it’s absolutely inspiring(!), uplifting(!)…and deserving to be heard. Mr.Brown, you deserve all the greatness coming your way.

Another amazing year with entire crew and new additions. People jump on Disney and ESPN. But Rece, Pete and everyone else involved on this podcast has been terrific. Thank you for making College Football just a little bit better each year.

Why just why

Disney stock is plummeting, and so is the integrity of the gameday product.

These guys are complete politicians. They say the most mealy mouth stuff, trying to act like they see things from on high that the fans don’t see/understand. They flip flop constantly and back up on previous positions. Reese and Pete love to banter back and forth about issues without ever sticking their flag in the ground and taking a solid position. As crazy as fans can be sometimes, at least they take a position. The hosts love to say things like “not complaining, just observing.” This is the equivalent of “no disrespect meant”…well, just stand by to be disrespected with whatever comes next. Of course you’re complaining…just not like a normal person who takes a position without such a ridiculous caveat! Reese has gotten terrible about this politician stuff, that’s why I’ve heard him jokingly called “Senator Davis.” He’s so afraid of being labeled as an Alabama homer that he goes completely out of his way to not compliment Alabama, even when it’s reasonable they should be. He seemingly leaves that up to the other hosts (mostly Steve). Then when he’s totally wrong about how their season is going to go (“they’re a year away” and “right now they look like a top-12 type team instead of a top two [said in the context of discussing the Saban ‘dynasty’ ending]), he won’t come on and just say, “I’m wrong and misjudged them. They’re still one of the best teams in the country.” Again, instead of saying he was wrong, he’ll caveat his position with, “well, they’ve just grown over the year.” Not, “I was wrong,” just “I was right then, and I can explain how I’m also right now.”

As a college football fan of no particular team, I am very sad about what ESPN has done to this sport. The more they talk about the CFP, the more my feelings are validated.

They always flip flop opinions every few days. What a terrible podcast. The SEC can buy so much better than these dudes. 1 star

Used to love this show, until I realized what Reese and Herby did to leave FSU out of the invitational. What a shame.

Trash show that has opinions paid for by the SEC, corrupt show should be shut down

His football opinions and knowledge have severely dropped off. He only likes talking about the big teams. He works for ESPN and ESPN tells him what to say. He’s a mouthpiece for them. It’s a shame because he WAS a great analyst but now he’s awful. Don’t listen to him.

Absolutely criminal what these goons did to young men with the CFP narrative. All for money.

Just a big steaming hunk of crap

They created narratives for weeks that ruined the integrity of college football.

ESPN owns the SEC, ACC, The College Football Committee, and now owns Gambling businesses. They have turned college football into a reality tv show, when it used to be determined on the field and between the hashes.

Last year, I posted a review saying this podcast was 4/5 stars and the transition cow sound was holding it back. Pete even shouted me out on the pod! Well, the change has been altered this year and I now believe this is a 5/5 star podcast! In all seriousness, I do enjoy this podcast multiple times weekly. It does challenge my thoughts about the CFP landscape, even when I don't want to change my thought process. Rece, Pete, Steve, Bill, Ryan, and Taylor all do great work. I hope this review makes y'all laugh. Keep up the awesome work!

It amazes me that Reece and team can produce this podcast multiple times per week in addition to getting ready for the Saturday broadcast and other things. Their vast knowledge and passion for college football make this a delightful listen multiple times per week.

This duo work so well together. Wish that this was the crew full time on this podcast. I’d listen every time. Thamel is okay but he’s been so wrong on realignment and doesn’t get called on it. He has the, “I’m the smartest guy in the room vibe.” Very off putting.

Thamel is boring. Davis is good but I enjoyed the pod more when they had a variety of hosts/reporters on here.

I typically use ESPN for all my updated college football stats and opinions but this podcast has very narrow minded ideology that I don’t think is what the podcast describes as it’s content. Sad to say I won’t recommend any of my fellow sport podcaster to tune into.

The knowledge of this podcast is unmatched. I love how the host brings the past and mixes is with the present in such a fluid way. Great job fellas and I’m thankful I found this bad boy! Will be listening often. MIZ!

Hook ‘em horns Love the Texas

I get it Alabama is a great team but every time when somebody says something negative about Alabama Pete interrupted. That’s what makes the show bad

It used to be a great podcast when we had the college football writers from each region (Adam Rittenberg-Heather Dinach-Ryan McGee). Now it’s the “look at me” and how great I am Rece Davis podcast. I can’t listen anymore with how much he talks over his co-hosts or anyone who has a negative thing to say about Alabama. So many other great college football podcasts out there, don’t waste your time on this one. Also, let Stanford Steve have another college football podcast ( so much more knowledgeable than anyone on this current one).

This show could be great if they replaced Pete. Guys just really boring and offers no unique insight

Thank you College Gameday for a great and entertaining podcast that helps me get through my afternoon walks! I loved the interview with Kirby Smart and all of the behind the scenes info on College Gameday. I would also love to hear from Herbie some if he is available.

Really enjoy the actual pre season football talk that is NOT realignment. Getting into the actual players and teams that will impact this years season has been fantastic.

He actually channeled his inner Beano Cook in the podcasts great job for those who actually got the reference

Not everyone that likes college football, also likes college basketball. Please keep the sports separated on different podcasts. I don’t care to hear basketball talk.

Great podcast on college football. The off season ones are as fantastic as the in season ones. An off the wall topic that isn’t likely to ever happen but interesting fodder for discussing. If (not likely) the MAC would consider a move move to FCS, would that help FCS and MAC teams.
