Ms TreeConflictedThe opening part is exhilarating. The “worst person in the world” is usually interesting and satisfying. But I always skip “things I promised not to tell” because it’s never entertaining to listen (over and over and over) to somebody rant about personal grudges. My brain says “let it go, already!” every time. It’s just petty. Edit: does Keith know he and his mom got honorable mention on Psych season 4, episode 5?

TinymvsI agree with you, KeithThank you! Keep doing what you’re doing. 💙

Yiur iUnbearableHe has legit brain damage.

selfdocListening to Keith is a must!Keith Olbermann’s podcasts provide the clearest insight into today’s political scene than any other news source I know of. Keith’s perceptive, outspoken, humorous, abrasive, sarcastic, and truth-filled podcasts provide a fresh breath of air into how to view today’s alarming political circumstances. I always gain important insights that provide a guidepost in my understanding of how to respond to many of the troubling events we are subject to on a daily basis. Thank you, Keith. It would be an honor to have lunch with you sometime.

jft34CountdownAs always top of the game, I consider you as a journalist the pinnacle of today’s best a that’ limited group. As always never miss an episode 👍🏽👍🏽⚖️🇺🇸

Bee Workin'Why I stopped listeningFrom ESPN, MSNBC, GQ YouTube series podcasts, I've always enjoyed his work. But when he shills for wealthy friends (twice it turns out) using a family dog and a little boy, all credibility vanishes. This happened during the "Every Dog Has It's Day" segment from the 05/12/25 podcast. Checked GoFundMe. Then looked up Andrew Blauner. His LinkedIn profile contains a photo of Mr. Blauner with sweet Smiles. According to The NYT, he's married to Jill Furman, a Broadway producer. Considering the positions they have and their listed addresses in NYC where they did or currently do live, it would seem they both have achieved a great deal in their lives. Granted, I have no direct knowledge of their current financial situation, but it would appear they are able to cover sweet Smiles' vet bill without GoFundMe or KO. I understand helping friends, but isn't there another family he could help who also dearly love their own Smiles but are going to lose their precious friend because they actually lack the money to cover the vet bill.

Amar008Evil risesMr. Olbermann thank you for your candor. You’re top on our list of truth tellers. Please be careful because the people you’re taking on are evil and they will stop at nothing to gain more power. If something bad happens to you we’d lose a hero but won’t be able to do anything about it. Look at Alexei Novalny and all the others who were murdered, in a country that supposedly, has free elections. I’m sure you and Rachel are tops on their list. Please, please take some measures to protect yourself in case something happens to you. In pre-emptive writings and videos too. This world is a better place because you’re in it. In love and light. Alex. Watts No need to post this if you prefer.
-
coyote dancingLove youThank you for the inside stories. I’ll never forget Rachel’s sheepish visage when she spoke about Joy Reid. Thanks for clarifying what actually happened at MSNBC. Shameful - they ruined their talent line-up.
-
Yelram1Love itKeith is the best!
-
allhandsbabeLove the podcastShocking and Hilarious. The shows are always entertaining and 9x out of 10 the sone what differently then I did. I like that. Pro tip. Governor Evers last name pronounced like version, not like even.
-
Leonard_27For realFace the truth. Don’t be offended, It’s all good. Keith is the man.
-
Bogstomper27Brilliant!Keith remains the best broadcaster in politics. He is the Obi-wan to Rachel’s Leia Skywalker. If we ever have a trustworthy mainstream news show again it should be Keith and Rachel running it!
-
Butterscots26Love you, but…Have been a fan for decades, Keith! Just want to say I do disagree with you on something. Jon Hamm IS NOT a nice guy. He participated in the violent hazing of a pledge at his fraternity in 1990 when he was 20, leading to the pledge’s injuries and withdrawal from school, in addition to the shuttering of that fraternity chapter. Boo! Otherwise, keep up the excellent work!
-
Cameo1of10One of the few things keeping me sane!Keep up the good work Keith! You’re one of the few things in this insane world that keep me going in this crazy time!
-
JhillerKeith, love the show but how about a schedule.I just learned of this podcast. I use to love Countdown. He reminds me a bit like Jean Shepherd. He Is a bit biting which is more than appropriate. He gets better every day! I continue to listen but you never know when he’ll have a new show. Get a schedule man.! I still really link the show but there is no schedule. It could be every other day of once every 5 days. How about a little bit of reliability.
-
JercheckWhy do they take down bad reviews? It used to be fun to laugh at how deranged Keith gets. His hysteria is hilarious. His hyperbole is hypnotic. It’s moving past the playful point. He has full blown lost his mind.

jrstanjrGreatGreat great the best
-
patooniaThank God for Keith OlbermanHe got me through the Bush years and he is just about the only news source I can tolerate during our current national nightmare. He is ALWAYS right. His insights are sharp. His sense of humor makes me feel like I am not alone with my despair. All in all he is a national treasure and the fact that he isn’t the marquee pundit on a network or cable news station is idiotic.

JRitch82A Descent into Redundant RantingKeith Olbermann’s podcast, “Countdown,” aspires to be a beacon of incisive political commentary but instead flounders in a sea of self-indulgence and redundancy. Listeners are subjected to meandering monologues that often rehash the same grievances without offering fresh insights or solutions. The once-compelling “Worst Persons in the World” segment has devolved into predictable name-calling, lacking the wit and substance it once possessed. Olbermann’s tendency to prioritize his personal vendettas over objective analysis undermines the credibility of the podcast. Episodes frequently feel like echo chambers, with little to no engagement with differing perspectives, resulting in a one-dimensional narrative that alienates listeners seeking balanced discourse. In an era where audiences crave nuanced and thought-provoking content, “Countdown with Keith Olbermann” disappoints by offering little more than a platform for its host’s unchecked diatribes. It’s a missed opportunity for meaningful dialogue, leaving listeners yearning for substance over spectacle. Also, he has terrible fashion sense.
-
Sir GreboHe’s still got it!I’m so glad Mr. Olbermann is doing what he does best; calling out corruption and standing up to the rich and powerful.
-
Adzbga…Countdown is the Best podcastI look forward to hearing from Keith
-
Prometheus---Love the podKeith, which one of the following podcasters/journalists will be the first to be hauled off to some detention center or camp and never heard from again for something they said or wrote? Rachael Maddow James Carville Keith Olbermann Tim Miller Steve Schmidt Rick Wilson Nicole Wallace George Conway Chris Hayes Jeff Goldberg That’s my question Don’t be naïve…..my money is on Wilson, with you a close second, Schmidt shows.
-
Strait punchMarkMr Olbermann. I know you can’t do a whole podcast on this person. But please let us hear your take on Bill Maher, who over the last few years has had many right wing nutjobs and insurrectionist on his show. Giving them a platform to spread lies and dangerous commentary. Maybe, worse person. Thank you you are doing a VERY valuable podcast Thanks for doing that.
-
just another sullynot too shabbyI’m a satisfied, long time viewer/listener. I’d only drop the cheesy music and sound effects and replace the cartoon show image with an actual photo. Thanks for your insight.

jayefromjerseyBest news podcastI think Keith “s podcast is the best on News!

BGDemHappy that Govt is OpenI’m glad that Sen Schumer did not shut down the government. Trump and musk want a government shut down. They would decimate the government while it is down. They would shut down the courts. They would furlough all the workers for months and months. Billionaires do not need the federal government. Trump and musk would have no motivation to bring the government back up. The Democrats had to choose between two terrible choices. The government shutdown could have had such horrific consequences, it could not be risked. Right now, the Fed Courts are open every day to push back on Trump and musk. In fact, they restored employment to thousands of workers in the last few days. Thank you for your show. I’m a regular listener.

mike raphone hogGranny OlbermanWhile I mostly enjoy the pod and look forward to Keith’s take on the latest Trump fiasco, I can’t help but notice that Keith has to be one of the most injury prone, weak immune system people I’ve ever heard .every other weak he has some new ailment to complain about, using it as a reason for shorter unedited shows or skipping the show altogether. It’s like listening to my 90 year old Grandmother whining about every ailment under the sun while her equally elderly friends compare similar ailments while lamenting the lack of visits from the grandkids. I know you’re getting up there in age a bit and we appreciate you for”playing hurt” but either take better care of yourself or at least stop the whining, we need a strong voice, not a granny

Bandolera100DisappointedMy least favorite part of your podcast has always been Friday with Thurber. I’m sorry to see it back again. I know it holds a special meaning for you.

RobbieDawnKeith Olbermann the Voice of Knowledge and FactsMr. Olbermann podcast is my go to for truth and facts. It’s twice a week so I countdown the days until I hear his voice of reason and knowledge. I highly recommend to everyone to listen!
-
mostskyKeith’s sharp analysisThank you Keith Olbermann - always providing sharp political analysis. We need more Congress people like Al Green. So far the democrats have shown unsatisfactory work-Democracy is being destroyed and yet dems display an unwillingness to defend it. Wearing pink & holding paddles was ridiculous. If you want to know how to handle the regime, listen to Keith Olbermann’s podcast.
-
H2ErKeith is a LegendI remember listening to the brilliant, outspoken Keith when he was on MSNBC, during the Bush years and was so delighted when I found his podcast. He hasn’t changed and never should!
-
The Big JalapeñoSad Human BeingWhy this guy has people who listen to him is one of the mysteries of life. Might be the most hateful person in the country today.
-
Esoteric GladiatorHorrible. This man is insufferable. Remember when he tried to get us all force vaccinated. How many times do you have to be wrong in life before your opinion changes Kieth?

makeupmynameKeep on keepin’ on.While I’m more of a “Just the facts, sir” kind of gal, I’m glad those who are helped by the emotional side of things have this podcast. I wish Keith had a bigger platform but, as his episodes make clear, there’s now mainly only a market for white-washing.
-
Armineh29Thank you, KeithAs a longtime fan, I find this podcast informative, factual and honest. Absolutely love the “things I promised not to tell” segments. Thank you, Keith.
-
Ara9140Long live KEITH!!I love your podcast keith!! May you live a long and healthy life to keep us enlightened, informed, and a a bit of humor never hurts, after all, these are dark days in America.

JudeRanchMerci BeaucoupThank you Mr. Olbermann. Today’s (2/17/25 - saving my country) actually saved me. Not from death, I’m never that dramatic, but from a feeling of exhaustion that it appears I share with you & so many others. We will get through this, and I feel that with your comments it makes it a wee bit easier. Hug your babies for me. Dogs are my weakness. Stay safe.

RenofogIt’s the way to start thew day.Short and sweet. I listen to Keith for several reasons. He has a wicked sense of humor and these days I need a good laugh first thing in the morning. His personal political point of view is perfect for the times and I agree with everyone of them. He has a wonderful love of Dogs and a fierce anger toward those who would harm out country. I highly recommend CountDown with Keith Olbermann
-
fannynoiseFearless, fact-based and honestThe time to fight for what’s right has never been more urgent. “Countdown” reminds us all of our civic duty to not only be decent human beings, but also to speak and act when obvious “mischief” is paraded before us as “business as usual”. When too much still isn’t enough, it’s time to put a cork in it and get off the champagne and back to milk and donuts. I’m with Olbermann on just about everything politically. Keep up the righteous work!
-
Gen X ProfKeith is the voice of sanity I wish the Dems would listen to …I loved Keith’s YouTube videos during Trump’s first term, so I came here to hear him say I’m not crazy, and that we ARE watching a coup. It’s scary but nonetheless reassuring. Thanks for being unafraid to speak the unvarnished truth, Keith!

Meat-ballLatest tweets by Keith disturbingI’m not a trump Fan but KO tweets as of late are out of the Alex Jones conspiracy playbook- except it’s sad.
-
WoofiesmommyTHANK YOU!Your show today, February 3, 2025, was the salve my post election rash needed! I feel as if I’ve been screaming into the void until your podcast this morning. Please, please, please, bring AOC onto your show! Give her a microphone, let her rip trump & murderers inc. to shreds! If that’s not possible, you keep doing shows like you did today! Thanks again for the outrage balm!

AmRadioGalA Great Voice, some commentary, some snark, some Dogs.Have been a fan for many years of all you do-from Sports Center to News to Thurber. Your voice and your trio of dogs helped me survive the lockdown with a retelling of Thurber tales that could only come from you. A well-rounded newscast complete with Ballpark Organist Nancy Faust. Priceless. Thank You and Carry On. P.S. Just heard a dissertation on supporting fellow media members and finish up with a kind, heartfelt reflection on a friend. This show is worth a listen. Also- I am eternally grateful for three very special episodes: one at about your adoption by Stevie. One, at Christmastime, about the special life of Mishu, and, today, about your Senior Minae. I had a Malti-Poo I swear had a human soul that used to kiss me goodnight. For 13 years. You, Sir, are a special Human. Thanks again- from a decades long fan for life. P.S-please take all your sports commentaries(especially the ones that explain key info like how to make the MLB better and hockey's "original six" and consider turning them into a book. They are fantastic.
