The Devil You Know is a masterpiece, his last album too. Yet no discussion? Weakest way to end.

I guess I like metal, just not most of it. I came for the early episodes, because I love bands considered “metal” who formed before 1980, and didn’t plan on listening beyond that. Yet here I am, listening to season 2, after having listened to every episode of season 1 (most of which on subjects I care nothing about). This is also my very first time reviewing a podcast, after hearing “if you like the podcast, please rate and review, it helps more than you know” roughly 17,436 times. This one is just worth it. This guy could probably make a podcast bashing all the things I love and I’d still listen (I mean that’s already a lot of this podcast). If you’re a weird person, just listen to it. If nothing else, you’ll have all sorts of specific, pointless knowledge to share with probably nobody ever, and you’ll be thoroughly entertained for a few hours.

This is simply a fantastic podcast about the evolution, current state, and future of Heavy Metal. Also, occasional impressions.

An absolutely tremendous podcast! He has the ability to walk that fine line between humor and information. Sometimes blurring that line. An exceptional voice that you could listen to all day. Bonus: also a great impressionist!

What an incredibly informative deep dive into some great musical topics. You have a new fan!!

Everything about this podcast works. It all comes together perfectly. A rare treat. And I’m not even a metal guy. It’s like you’re attending a college class on metal and your professor is funny. Except you don’t have to worry about your grade or take notes or show up at a certain time, because that’s boring. It’s like you have a close friend who tells you everything you didn’t know you wanted to know about a musical genre and he’s funny about it the entire time. It’s like … a really good podcast.

This pod is unbelievably good. Quinn has a style all his own and is incredibly funny. Thanks!
