There are too many low-carb keto people giving this advice. I even had a friend want tell my daughter a banana was not good because it had too much sugar. I was so angry. Thank you Devan. Devan went from a rough childhood to starting the Burn Boot Camp empire at age 24. vneub37101 I came for the workout-I like how the podcast are short but to the point! I like get to know the trainer and how he talked about how he stayed for the community. I can relate! I started burn for a workout and now I stay for the community. I’ve made many friends through burn and now we do active activities outside of camp!

<\1ALL1/>Kick intimidations buttI found out about Burn, years before actually joining. I have to admit , I was intimidated by the moms I met at my sons daycare. They were so fit , confident and seemed so unapproachable. Fast forward a few years and I made the choice to set my fears aside and just try it. I never thought I’d like a group class setting. Wow, was I wrong! I FELL IN LOVE! The trainers were awesome. The staff and members were so welcoming and absolutely NO JUDGEMENT. It was not intimidating like I thought it would be and everyone was so supportive. I’ve been a member for almost 2 years. Burn is my saving grace, even if I have setbacks and slack off, I am encouraged and given grace and pushed (in a good way) to get back into it. I truly love it. I am a better mom, wife and person because of my Burn fam!!! 💙

FitMom4234Very mixed opinions on this podcastI am a long term Burn Boot Camp member and a former devotee to Morgan’s Coffee and Kettlebells podcast. I have been listening for just about a month to the Burn Boot Camp podcast and have heard really valuable things. I love Morgan’s take on working motherhood, the recent interview with Erin Washington, Trainer talk with Matt Morris and more. I wish the audio quality was a little better on podcasts that are being dual recorded for instagram and for podcast but generally those segments are valuable. However I recently listened to an Ask Devan anything where a listener asked what he does when he gets sick. Devan effectively responded that he doesn’t get sick because he believes “what you believe, you become” so he just doesn’t believe he will get sick. This is alarming because it implies that illness is brought about by mental weakness, which is harmful to everyone that has a short term or long term illness. I wonder if he would say that to a cancer patient, or someone suffering with another debilitating disease. I don’t believe his intention is to be heartless to those who suffer but it rang as really problematic and toxic for the many members that may be fighting battles of their own. Occasionally it seems like he is speaking in a stream of consciousness, which may lead to saying something he doesn’t intend. I hope he addresses this in a future podcast because it was super disappointing from a leader of a company that promotes empowerment and inspiration as core values.
