    Was better before
Liked much better when it was a daily news bulletin without the unnecessary Rothkopf opinions and monitoring - I get that from other podcasts, so it isnt that i don't appreciate his pov, but why not leave this format alone?

Better than I expected-Great daily summary
I first found DSR after the Ukraine invasion. And I didn’t expect it to be such a great news aggregator, thinking it was limited in focus. But I was wrong. It’s broadly focused. And does an excellent job of gathering and disseminating daily summaries that are professional and informative. If I were forced to give up other news sources keeping this single show would be my choice. Highly recommended.

    Almost good
Broad summary of world news. It’s collected from multiple (cited) international reporting sources, which seems to lead to more balanced info. The two guys who read (and write?) the news are amateurish, but I find their lack of polish somewhat charming. All that said… if they’ll PLEASE stop inserting the occasional ‘analysis’ bits, I’ll raise my review to 4 or 5 stars. (I’m probably not the only one who subscribes to news brief podcasts to get actual news, not opinion/editorializing.)

    Daily Brief from Trusted Sources
The DSR Daily Brief podcast provides listeners with an overview of breaking international news using bite-sized blurbs pulled from the headlines. Episodes rarely exceed 10 headlines or go over 10 minutes and usually end with “on a lighter note” story. For those interested in more in-depth coverage beyond the headlines, the DSR DB includes links to the complete stories, using dozens of trusted international news sources like the BBC, AP News, Germany’s Deutsche Welle, Al Jazeera, Reuters, UPI, NYT, NPR, and Politico. In my opinion, providing these links serves as a critical tool in helping build awareness of alternative, international, and independent news sources outside of the usual mainstream American media sources. While Grant or Chris will occasionally - very, very rarely - offer their own thoughts on a particular story, these infrequent, short statements are educated and insightful, and are always preceded by the phrase “In my opinion,” so there is no confusion as to separation of facts and personal takes. Additionally, both Grant and Chris have the resumes to back up their opinions. When an opinion is shared, it is almost always an expression of concern that government leaders aren’t taking <insert scenario here> as seriously as they should. In my opinion, this podcast is a great addition to any daily podcast lineup.

Is even better than when it began
When this podcast began, it was just about Ukraine war. It expanded to include news from all over the world. And now the commentators now give insightful opinions also. This is become my first review of the days news.

    Thoughtful, experienced, informative
Each episode has been well worth the time: a breadth of knowledge and experience, passionate and smart about the future of democracy and the crisis we are in.

    Self-righteous
I listened to this to get quick daily news updates, but they keep throwing in their own “analysis” - which are almost always self-righteous, holier-than-thou opinions which are grating to the ears. Also, the hosts speak in a monotone, but that negative pales in comparison to the smug preachiness.

    Start here - great coverage!
Clear and accurate. Really keeps you informed. Show notes let you dig deeper into whatever interests you. Much better than typical news podcasts because it covers a lot, quickly. Perfect!

    Understandable yet detailed
Liking this new podcast—interesting to hear views from new (to me) speakers. Would like to hear more about their own backgrounds. I’m especially appreciative that they present information that is not excessively complex for me as a person interested in global politics, but not a professional.

    Well sourced, factual, informative podcast
I am looking for as much factual information as I can get in a short format podcast, and so far it looks like I have come to the right place.
