Losers, Pretenders & Scoundrels

Unlicensed historians Andrew Heaton and Andrew Young sort out characters from the Earth's history into categories of failures, fakes, and rascals. Funny but technically informative.

    Best History Podcast
This show was very easy to binge. I’m already a Heaton Fan from the political orphanage. I like all his content but I hope they read reviews and release more soon! Andrew Young is hilarious, hope he does more work with Heaton. I digest a lot of history media and this is my favorite.

    Love it
Andrew Heaton, history and cons what’s not to love. Also you get to hear Heaton uncensored

History is good, hosts are annoying
I love when they actually talk about history, but their personalities and tangents are terrible. Please stop with the cringe accents, and the self indulgence.

    Brilliant!
It’s a lobster dinner for your ear balls and also your brain area. Real humans saying mostly real words now about old words and dead people. What’s not to love?

Nearly the best history podcast I’ve ever come across
Seriously, 5 stars. Hands down. The best. Super informative and fun. So funny!

    Great
Great show just like the political orphanage. Why haven’t y’all put anything new out?

    Very good
These guys are funny and informative. I’m going to miss them when they get cancelled.

    I’ve enjoyed it
These two think they’re really smart and really funny. Usually only one of those is true per episode but that’s still better than 90% of podcasts.

    Losers, Pretenders,
What fun. History and humor in a podcast. Kudos to Mssrs. Young and Heaton for a great podcast.

    Glad I found this
History is full of stories both great and funny. These guys are great at finding those stories, doing their research, and telling those stories so well I’ve found myself laughing awkwardly in front of strangers while listening to them on the subway.

    My favorite podcast
I absolutely love this podcast. As soon as it updates, I stop everything to listen. My personal favorite is Perkin Warbeck. Love it and love Heaton.

You really need to get your history straight on this topic. Boo.

An excellent review of the talking points of the new Wig party
This podcast provides an excellent review of the talking points of the new Wig party as led by 2020 Vice Presidential candidate Andrew Heaton

    A Great Read!
I love this podcast! The picture on the front is very funny, and I’m a slow reader, so I usually only get through one episode while I’m on the john. I do wish they’d make each episode longer than a paragraph, but who am I to complain about free reading material?!

    Educational and informative!
Loving the show. The chemistry between the hosts is very obvious and makes for great entertainment.

Come for comedy stay for the history

    Delightfully Riveting and Painlessly Educational
Absolutely love this podcast! The Two Andrews are both incredibly intelligent and effortlessly funny. I’ve been a huge fan of Heaton’s other podcasts, and this is a top-notch addition to his oeuvre. I highly recommend this to anyone looking for an interesting history podcast—or just some easy listening from two very funny guys. :)

    Sublimely entertaining
Started with Political Orphanage and migrated here. Love the history lesions and reflections and comedy.

    Fun and funny
This show is the desert version of hardcore history. Heaton and Young is one of my favorite combinations (whether it’s Andrew or Justin Robert).

    A good time
A wonderful, light, funny listen. Two thumbs up.
