Can you help find ‘The Missing?’

‘The Missing’ is an award-winning true crime podcast which looks into cases of long-term missing people and asks you, the listener, to help.

Every week we explore a different case, hear original interviews with family and friends, and ask the questions that need to be answered. Where did they go? What happened to them? And does anyone listening have any information?

UK episodes will launch on Wednesdays - brought to you in association with the charities Locate International and Missing People.

US/Canada episodes will launch on Mondays - brought to you with the support of Doe Network.

I really wanted to like this podcast
I was excited to find a new to me podcast that covered missing people. The episodes seem to only skim the surface of the missing persons cases. The subjects covered in the USA are covered more in depth in other podcasts. This show is a hard pass for me

    horrible host
pleaseeeeee find a new host. pandora does a disservice to these stories with the way she chooses to articulate the story. not only that but the narrative she constructs is beyond disrespectful

    Lack of diversity
If you want to hear about missing people of color, you have to listen to a black true crime podcast. & they exist because no one else cares that we are missing. Very disappointed in the lack of diversity of this podcast.

Why does the host talk so slow!?
Really intriguing subject matter but dear god the host speaks so insanely slow. It’s completely bizarre. And since there’s interviews with normal people, you can just fast forward everything.

    Empty
I feel bad for those people who lost someone and see their life broadcasted, but this podcast is as unhelpful as can be. The vast majority of the time is spent talking about who the “missing” was, what was their life like, and that’s pretty much it. Little time is spent on the actual cold case, what has happened since the person went missing; each episode is more about the person than about their disappearance. Which is maybe the goal of the podcast? Last but not least, the over pronunciation of every word by the host is extremely annoying.

    The North American edition
Great pod with an important purpose. I like that they’re doing cases from the US and Canada. That said… when the narrator is speaking, it feels like it’s at .75x 😩

I really want to like it
I understand they’re unsolved situations, but every episode ends so randomly …I’m driving try to flip through a commercial but it’s actually just the end of the episode. The “conclusion” never make any sense… it’s like “and then they went to gas station- the end.” Ha! I do like the pod overall, it’s just very unsatisfying. You do know you’re going into it as a mystery, however, it always feels like they always forget to record the end.

    Ali Lowitzer
Just listened to this episode, I’m baffled at what they think is anything helpful . It ended with no info whatsoever. Who was interviewed? Did the girls who bullied her get interviewed? Where was her boyfriend? Not a peep about her dad ! Where was he ? I’m not sure I want to even listen to any more episodes. Not well done . I hope Ali is found .

    Well done and important Podcast
I enjoy listening to this very important and professionally done podcast that talks about those that have seemingly disappeared. Its so Important for loved ones to know the importance of keeping their names and stories in the news.

    86 the New Host
Why does the new host enunciate so many words for no apparent reason other than to be dramatic??? The narration is so unnatural. The host of the original version of this podcast was much, much better.

    Loving Jigsaw!
Recently discovered this podcast and have listened to all of the jigsaw episodes. I think this is an absolutely brilliant idea, and would love to hear that it brings some results for these people who have remained unidentified, some for over 50 years. Good job!

    Yay

    Used to Love It
I used to really enjoy this podcast, but I subscribed to get the whole season early and without ads only to not receive any of the advertised benefits. I reached out to them and nothing has changed. No resolution. Don’t waste your money.

    One of the best!
This is easily one of my favorite podcasts. The attention to detail as well as the sensitivity employed while telling the stories is second to none. Pandora Sykes narrative is a huge part of what makes this podcast so good. You can tell that she cares about these people and wants to help bring a resolution to their story. I hope she comes back with a third season!

    Newly found
I just found your podcast. So far very interesting. So many missing people 😔 I just can’t imagine what these people are and have been through. So heartbreaking!
  • k444th

    New stories about decent people
I like that these cases are everyday people w jobs and families. So tired of the podcasts going on about drug addicted sex workers in abusive relationships. And their families just don’t understand how this could happen. ??!! How could it not??? This podcast is not tabloid style, crying illiterate relatives repeating themselves ad nausium nor is it cases we have all heard 10 times. It is Eloquent storytelling w intelligent commentary from level headed people.

    Really well done
Really enjoy this podcast - very sensitively and carefully done and a really important way of getting these stories out there. Well done Pandora and Podimo.
