Mandabe88Love itI love that there all small town murders I grew up in Maine and it’s cool learning about everything that had happened

Pageturner78So goodThis was the first pod cast I have ever listened to! I am hooked !! I’m an amateur sleuth at heart!! I met Kristen recent at the Maine book fest and she’s a fantastic person ! She is so incredibly passionate and it’s electric ! Thank you for telling these peoples stories!
-
Jeri Y.My fave!I love listening to this podcast! From Kristen’s soothing voice to the care she puts into the writing, you can tell she genuinely cares about the victims and their families. As someone who has been interested in true crime for as long as I can remember, I really find Kristen’s attention to detail and passion for these cases refreshing. Murder, she told and I couldn’t stop listening!
-
48AmyAmazing writingI left true crime and listen to many podcasts I enjoy, but the writing in this one sets it on another level. The storytelling is so well done!
-
Lilac chinchillaBest in the genre!Kristen has a lovely way of telling these stories, making them victim-centered and not sensationalized. No cheesy music or hooks or weird phrases. I appreciate her research and thoughtfulness. I’ve only started listening to podcasts this past year so I’ve had the pleasure of binging all her episodes! Now I await each new one. Thank you, Kristen!

Luppy0108Worth listening toI just started this podcast and it is pretty good. I do find that on several stories so far there is a little too much added narration in the story telling.
-
BschoraNot for me.Too much detail having nothing to do with the crime. Not for me. I know some people like this approach, but it’s too gooey for me. There’s nothing wrong with it per se. A lot of long passionate drivel is too melodramatic for me. I’m a “just the facts please” person. I loved hearing cases from New England and really had high hopes.
-
ChoppermbI miss this PodcastThis and Dark Downeast are my two favorite podcast, and both of them are missing. I know that the other one has gone over to audiochuck which disappoints me but I hope that murder she told will be back very soon it’s been almost a month and hope everything is OK. Love this podcast it’s fabulous I’m so glad it’s back, but every 2 weeks is too much time in between episodes.
-
GeminirainEnjoyable and thorough!I’m really enjoying this podcast. It’s well thought out and well produced. I’ve had a close family member murdered and I appreciate when podcasts hosts can be respectful to victims and their families.
-
rbraverman5I love your podcastHi I just listened to your podcast on Harmony Montgomery. I think you did a fantastic job. I relatively new to your podcast but ever since I heard about your podcast I found myself looking forward to it. I can’t wait for next episode. Keep up the great work.
-
My4meaniesYou can’t do a serialized pod with every tow weeksYou gave me and all listeners so much info on Harmony, such a heart breaking case. You can expect anyone to follow a case that only comes every two weeks. Will probably unfollow and find someone that gives information and is easier to follow.

Diana Marian Villanueva😔Wanted to love it but the voice is just too monotone, it became boring.
-
NullityMidI’m sorry it’s just too slow and plodding for me, must unsubscribe. The host does have a very nice voice though.

heaavenly21WonderfulThis show is well written and beautifully narrated.

Jersey Girl in VermontSo good!Excellent podcast. Interesting , but sad stories . This podcaster host is very caring. You can tell she puts her heart and soul into each episode.
-
zisserzasserMurder she wrote is perfectShe weaves a complete story of the victim’s life And doesn’t skip ahead to the gory details. I like the ambiance of small town New England and the family interviews which are never maudlin.
-
Animal Zoo ReviewerAnita’s storyYou did an absolutely stunning job and brought Anita to life with compassion and grace. She sounds like she was an adventurous and strong soul who overcame so much and loved life and her family in equal measure. You are truly a gifted storyteller.
-
TryingtoremainafanPlease do this case (Diane Drake RI)Diane Drake Newport RI. This poor girl deserves attention & justice. The family (from news reports) seems frustrated because somebody out there DEFINITELY knows something about her case in this small county. The original detectives used hypnosis of witnesses as well as several psychics. The family asks for heightened attention to the case on a yearly basis via the anniversary
-
BagLadyPAGreat presenterGood stories, well told in a perfect voice. I only wish it would be on Patreon so I could avoid the ads for products I’ll never buy.
-
mls1976MAURA Murray?Just curious why we haven’t heard a story about Mame Murray, which I believe is still an unsolved case? Thank you, love the podcast!
-
If jgddsssghjkkkRobot? AI??Goodness this podcast is tedious. The voice, cadence and inflection of the person reading the script is P A I N F U L.
-
CeerjurrioJuan SantiagoPlease, please, look into this case. Great podcast about my home area.
-
thankful4redhandedRespectful True CrimeLove this podcast! Interesting true crime cases without the giggling/inappropriate conversations I’ve found with a lot of other podcasts. The host is compelling to listen to, respectful of victims, and tells stories I haven’t heard before. Definitely recommend
-
sarahms18One of the best <3I’m a huge true crime fan and being from Maine, I rarely hear about cases from around here. There aren’t a lot of stories that are well known enough to make it onto other podcasts or huge true crime tv shows, so being able to have access to so many cases through Kristen’s storytelling is this murderino’s true crime dream come true :’) Kristen is so informative and you can tell how much work she puts in to every case she covers! The smaller the town, the bigger the need for exposure and this podcast is doing just that; getting people to listen to our stories.
-
Hotrod&dolceI’m into it!Keep up the good work!
-
LeeLeeTheHippieGreat podcastThe cases are told very well. Not a lot of chatter. Easy to stay focused on without constant rewinding. Soothing host but, does not put you to sleep.
-
Lots of PodsTheresa CorleyThank you for your in-depth and victim centered episodes on the tragic murder of Theresa Corley. As advocates for Theresa’s family, we appreciate your advocacy, empathy, and ability to do these stories the justice they deserve.
-
REK139JB Fletcher Would Be ProudAs a former English teacher, Mrs. Fletcher would be quite taken with the the writing and story telling that is done with empathy and focus on the victim and their family. There really isn’t a more victim center podcast out there, and I love learning so much about their lives and hearing from families.
-
allisongwolfMurder She ToldI love this show!! The host has a great voice, and the show is beautifully written and well produced. I love the thoughtful way the victim’s stories begin with them as fully realized people not just names attached to gruesome crimes. I’ve known people who have died mysteriously or been murdered, and the story of who they were before is just as interesting and important as how they died.
-
lindy luvs musicAlways excellent!Love Kristen’s work both on & off the podcast. She is dedicated to the victims & their families. Also, loved her recent interview with Laurah. Keep doing the good work that you do!
-
Ivy NYCSeavey Rocks; in content, writing, and vocallyKristen Seavey’s amazing vocal intonation hooked me as an appreciator of the serenely of audio. If you’re like me, you will too. The cases the Murder, She Told covers always have a special quality deeming them worthy of podcast immortality. Listen to the 2-part series on Megan Waterman. It does justice to the unique livelihood and tragic death of one of L.I.S.K.’s victims. The best part is at the end of Part 2 when Seavey calls out the hypocrisy and often misogynistic tendencies of mainstream media (yeah NY Times, that’s you) and NY’s dropping-of-the-ball when it came to allowing a serial killer to operate in the dark for decades while women in the same area disappeared. Way to stick it to the man MST!

CairennListened to the whole catalog in 3 months! This podcast is fantastic for those who love mysteries and true crime stories but aren’t here for gore. It is victim centered and the host and writers really dig deep to learn more about the victims and the circumstances of each case. The production is also great so you know what to expect with each episode, (e.g. “the flow”). I have learned so much about cases I never knew about before thanks to this podcast.
-
Eider31Maine love!As a fellow maine grown girl, I love this podcast! Hearing stories about places I grew up near, spent time in and even live in now puts a different lens on true crime stories.
-
BearfannyMust listenI’m a huge true crime podcast fan and I’ve heard them all. I like this podcast because the cases are ones that I’ve never heard of. Give this one a listen!
