    First rewatch
I originally watched Buffy as it aired and decided in January to finally get around to rewatching. I decided to pair the rewatch with a podcast and found y’all. It’s been great getting some deep intel to go along with my rewatch. Can’t wait to hear season 7 as I’m about halfway through watching it.

    Leave Xander alone.
    The bashing ruined the podcast.

    Solid Rewatch & Analysis
I graduated the year before Buffy started. I was one of the few that absolutely loved the movie when it came out and watched it on repeat so I was super excited to have it as a show. Being at a different age than most podcasts on this show I’m used to different and sometimes very wrong takes on characters and the times. And I am always prepared for Xander bashing and Cordelia/Anya apologists. This podcast does all that. But they also have insightful conversations and deep dives into behind the scenes tea. As a long time fan I appreciate it. I wish the hosts had more of a variety of takes and opinions from each other. but I still really enjoy this rewatch. These hosts work hard and care about this series and it shows.

    Top tier podcast
I’m surprised I haven’t left a review sooner, but I’m glad cause I’ve been through to s6 so that leaves room for a good gauge on experience with it. Sarah is the most insightful person and you know she spends so much time informing herself to share with the audience & her sisters. As a music buff and student most of life, I love hearing her takes when they happen on how the music sets the tone in the show. Hearing the sisters dynamic is one of the best elements cause they have fun together discussing their fav show & it’s funny when they rag on one another in the most light hearted ways. Leah by far has made me laugh the most over the run. Their bro David is a gem when he’s on and brings great perspective matching Sarah in a lot of ways. His voice is also soothing ☺️ All of their views on the show are valid and invaluable. For the whole experience and as someone who’s listened to a handful of Buffy/Angel podcasts, this one has to be my absolute favorite for everything it represents.

    I tried
I like the ‘ride or die’ vibes they have for Buffy, but if you are looking for anything beyond Buffy/Angel are perfect for each other you’ve come to the wrong place. They also wrongly say multiple times how old Angel was when he was turned into a vampire, completely missing the point/metaphors Angel’s age is supposed to represent. Other character analysis is good except it’s obvious they hold contempt for certain characters because of their ship, so very bias.

    Toxic
Toxic awful podcast catering to an awful toxic base, don’t even understand the show, what a joke

Amazing podcast! I didn’t think I would enjoy it this much given that I have watched Buffy (especially season 1-3) several times, but the commentary is really good!

    Long time fan
I've been listening to these ladies since the beginning and they've only gotten better as time has gone on. Thorough analysis, great chemistry, and I learn something new every time I listen. Can't wait to hear more!

    Great podcast!
The analysis is fire. They thoroughly research each episode and include fun facts from the cast and crew. They also aren’t afraid to shy away from important topics. Definitely a great listen and a much needed podcast for the Buffyverse!

    New Listener
I have been a fan of BTVS for what feels like forever. I remember sitting with my mom and watching the first episode. I remember sitting with my wife and rewatching the entire series. I was really glad to find your podcast so that I could relive the glory (no pun intended) days. I only have a couple of issues. Maybe this changes down the road, seeing as I am only just finishing the first season of the podcast, but it is becoming a chore to listen to it. The almost constant trashing of Xander just seems misplaced at times. While other characters are getting a pass for some of their behavior, I’m looking at you Cordelia, it seems as though you all look for any and every reason to trash Xander. Now I’m not saying he doesn’t deserve it at times, I just feel that you all sometimes carry it a bit far and it takes away from the enjoyment of the podcast, at least for me. I really hope this doesn’t continue as I delve further as, for now at least, I find myself having to shut it off for a bit as it grows tiresome. Also, and I know this is probably darn near impossible, but you all tend to talk over each other at times and it becomes very messy sounding. Not that I could do any better mind you. It’s just something I notice. With all of that, I still enjoy the show and I enjoy learning little things I didn’t know about the show before. I look forward to continuing my walk through the Buffy-verse with your show. Grr Arrgh Bill.

    Great job
These ladies have a great dynamic. I really enjoy the way they dig deeper and explore more than just the surface of the content. They draw interesting parallels and catch things that even a show veteran, like me, has not caught. I am enjoying this podcast so far! Great job!!

    Eh… A for Effort, C for Content
They really try. They love the show. They love the characters. Unfortunately, love doesn’t always cut it. What works… The conversations are great. No uncomfortable pauses. You can feel their closeness as sisters - good camaraderie. The oldest sister (who seems to be the lead host) digs up fun facts about each episode. More of this! It’s fun and informative! The sound quality of the recordings. No weird echo/tunnel effect like you hear on many amateur podcasts. The spoiler/spoiler free line. Keep this! This format works so well and is used by other podcasts I’ve listened to. They started playing little audio (video for them, I’m sure) when they want to reference a certain scene. More of this! It adds context, depth, and sounds way more professional that talking out the scene. What doesn’t work… They try to be thorough. This leads to most of the episode being a playback in words of the ENTIRE show. Detail by detail. Scene by scene. At first I thought I would enjoy this. I do not. It’s monotonous and boring. I’ve watched the episode already. Now I wanna discuss it. I don’t want to watch (in words only) the episode all over again. Too long in between show/podcast episodes. They originally started with one show per podcast and one podcast per week. Now things are sporadic and you don’t know what you’re going to get. I don’t mind long podcasts at all. I prefer them, actually. But, don’t make it two weeks until you get to the next episode. And don’t break up the spoiler and spoiler free section into two separate episodes. It’s too long in between new content/show episodes and this is where you lost me. The youngest sister… please consider this constructive criticism and not a personal dig. It’s hard to listen to her and take her seriously because she’s one of those girls that injects “like” into every third word that comes out of her mouth. It’s very cringy, and annoying. She also has a hard time getting her point across in a meaningful and efficient manner. I think she would benefit from a debate or communication class and a critical thinking class. Also, just reading some books. Reading does wonders for one’s vocabulary and delivery. Overall these ladies really try. They have great subject matter, obviously. They have a ton of heart. Unfortunately, that’s not enough to keep me. I’m and avid podcast listener and I’ve listened to other Buffy podcasts and this one rates on the lower end.

    Awesomeness
I love how Tabby, Sarah and Leah make you feel like you are in the room with them. As they go through each episode with a spoiler free section and a spoiler section. I feel like I’m in the room having a decision with my 3 best friends about an amazing show. For a person (me) who doesn’t listen to podcasts, this one is a MUST!

A Buffy podcast worth your time
Unlike Buffy season 1, this podcast had no growing pains IMO. I found the hosts kept the conversation going with ease and were engaging from the beginning. Spoiler-free for the new fans is great and I appreciate the spoiler zone for the Scoobies. I like hearing both perspectives and Becoming Buffy gives me everything I want. Also, huge fan of the longer runtimes. If we're already doing 2hr episodes in S1 I can't imagine how long Restless will be lol Perfect podcast and worth your time whether you're a first-time watcher or a longtime fan :)

    Binging Buffy with Friends
This is how this podcast feels: like binging a great, fun show with your friends. It is my first time watching Buffy, and to get to talk it through after each episode with these sisters makes the experience even more enjoyable and complete, as they share meaning and intent behind each detail. I'll be listening the whole way through as I watch the show the whole way through. The hardest part is not going too quickly through the show 😁
