Maybe it’s the quality of comedy or maybe it’s the world, but this show has been a soothing laugh in these hard days. If you hunger for comedy is great, you’ll get your full no matter what episode you start with. Found this podcast after the recc from an appearance on Word Association. One day, when I can afford it, I’ll return to update my review after listening to the paid content. (just to say I did so.) The friendship, charisma and chemistry are a fortune to my ears, and the comedy benefitting from such quality is exactly what I need in between all my politics podcasts. Appreciate all the work and hope more and more folks find this podcast and all the other improv shows in the podcast world.

ChatGPT suggested this pod to me
Having binged every improv podcast that I could find and tolerate, I found myself growing progressively more desperate for comedy podcast recommendations. In a moment of inspiration, I recalled a documentary I’d watched decades ago called Weird Science, in which two socially inept but resourceful high school kids use their personal computer to generate their perfect woman. Following their method, I fed my computer scraps of improv pods I found particularly attractive: Hey Riddle Riddle, Comedy Bang Bang, Man Dog Pod, The Daily. Suddenly, the room darkened, neon lights hummed to life, and through a curtain of mist, Improv Is Dead walked out in a tight vinyl dress and stiletto heels. My life hasn’t been the same since. Six Stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

A reluctant father and his adult son bond when their concerned neighbor, Ian, forces his way into their lives via podcast. Think “the ref” meets “parent trap” meets “Dr. Phil” with a good dose of “Maury” but only on Dan’s end. I love this show and recommend it to all my friends. Makes me wish improv had died a LONG time ago.

i believe the highest score you can recieve
i have been a long time listener of the “improv impod” as i have grown to call it. i love every episode they make me laugh but more importantly they teach me about loving and growing as a family. as we all know dan is a single father raising tim on his own, when times were tough dans brother damian stepped up and became like a second father to tim. i love the improv family and i hope you all never stop making episodes. P.S. been playing clothes swap since 2021 and im glad it finally is catching on.

    A very funny podcast
Listening to an episode of Improv is Dead brings me an amount of joy equal to shotgunning about half a dozen deviled eggs. A dense and delightful joy.

    Chi Town Love
Three of the sexiest podcaster that I know. Plus they’re from Chi Town? Win win in my book. Boystown, Oak Park, the South Side, what’s not to love? As someone from Boston were definitely sports rivals, but I definitely feel confident in saying Go Bulls. I could go on all day about my love for the Chi, but I’ll end it by saying I love improv, I love these guys, and I love this show.

My friends used to say I’m not very funny. Now that I recite each episode scene by scene, but naturally through conversations. They think I’m the funniest person ever. Thanks guys. p.s. great to see a father son duo now trio taking on the pod world.

    Cannot get enough
I cannot say enough good things about this podcast. I've just found it recently after stumbling upon the gold mine that is Dan's twitter and have been binging it. Incredibly funny, creative, as well as super well put together in terms of quality and production. Dan, Damian, and Tim just have such a good chemistry it all flows together so flawlessly and naturally.

    The Highest It Goes
I never thought I’d be proud to call myself a pervert, but Papa Tim, his elderly son Dan and weird old Uncle Damian have changed my view on the subject. I’m rating this 5/5, because they wouldn’t let me give it 6. I hope you all learn to speak fluent French someday.

If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it
I just don’t get the need for this host shake-up. Damian Anaya was perfect as the solo acting host for years now, and suddenly he brings in Brett Lyons’ brother, Tom, and his pseudo-child Stan White? What gives! Not to mention, the relationship between these new hosts is so strange? It’s easy to see Stan White is in desperate need for a father figure but maybe his similarly aged pal isn’t who should fill these shoes. Anyways the show is great! I tune in every week for my updates on the world of AI and Succession spoilers. Buyer beware, this is NOT your everyday film podcast!

Funny podcast but I don’t get it
While this podcast is genuinely hilarious, that is not the mood I would expect from a true crime podcast, such as this one. Father and son investigative duo Tim Lyons and Dan White have been trying to figure out who killed improv for over three years now! Why on Earth would you start an investigation of this caliber without the ability to solve the crime? Hopefully, the promotion of forensic anthropologist, Damian Anaya, to full time host will finally help these two amateur detectives find the answer to the mystery.

    Great Show!
There are things in life that leave you with a sense of existential dread. Where it feels like the darkness is closing in on you and there is no hope or escape from the great abyss. Luckily, this show doesn’t do that! I’ve never laughed harder. Tim and Dan are a fantastic father/son duo and Damian is the perfect crazy uncle. 5-stars all around, which I think is the highest?

    Spoiler alerts
This show is awesome! Im only going to give it 5 stars because they just spoiled the first season of GOT for me. I don’t know if I was going to watch it. It’s nice to see a new family dynasty emerging in the improv comedy podcast world.

    These guys are the BEST!
I really did think improv was dead until these guys showed up. Actually that’s not true, because I heard them on Man Dog Pod which is another excellent show (and I heard Man Dog Pod on Improv4Humans). But for real, these guys are genuinely great improvisers and super funny. I love the format. They talk for a while and then do a much longer extended montage at the end, and it’s great to have 20-30 minutes of uninterrupted scenes. Damian, I will definitely come see you play in Chicago!

    Best Succession Recap podcast ever
I’ve been watching Succession since the very beginning, and I’ve listened to just about every recap podcast, but this one really does it for me. Damien (founder), Dan, and Tim must have insider information or something because their weekly predictions are spot on. They accurately predicted the shocking wedding of Shiv and Marcia well before it aired. Something I’ve noticed is that Dan is a lot like Logan Roy in that he’s a bird truther, a generally fun guy and a loving father to Tim. 6/6 stars

Improv is Dead is a wonderful show containing some really funny boys. Wether they are with guests or its just the two of them, they will make you laugh. Seriously, sometimes I have to stop working because I'm crying laughing. My coworkers must think I'm having a great day at work but in reality im having a great time listing to Improv is Dead. Also shoutout to the tams!

Best podcast (I’ve listened to them all)
I give this podcast 5000 stars because it is 1000 times better than the next best podcast, which has a five star rating because until recently that’s the most any podcast has ever deserved. But now podcasts go up to 5000 stars because that’s how good this one is. This is a quantum leap forward in podcasting, comparable to the discovery of fire in human evolution. Listen as Father Tim, his darling boy Dan, and host Damian prepare a succulent feast of bits and riffs on a fire of comedic greatness. Also I like the Patreon.

A great podcast and a mystery solved
This is an excellent podcast and you should listen to it, but that is not the focus of this review. Instead, I would like to solve a long standing mystery that has haunted the reviews of this podcast. Frequently, the reviews of this show reference the wonderful father and son dynamic the hosts bring to the table. Yet Dan and Tim refute their obvious familial energy, and support this with relevant facts like that Tim is only 3 years older than Dan and likely did not have the biological capability to reproduce when Dan was conceived. So the question remains - how could Tim be Dan’s father when his reproductive organs had yet to mature? I have found the answer. Bonding over their shared love of Outlander, Tim has romanced Dan’s mother (and perhaps father, this could be a throuple situation) and has ascended to the role of stepfather. They are clearly embarrassed about this, and both refer to one another as just friends. I want to reassure them that you CAN have a friendly AND paternal relationship with a stepfather. Remember - a stepfather is a new father who stepped up. With this, I hope you can accept your developing relationship as stepfather and stepson. Thank you for the excellent show and I look forward to more episodes.

    Hilarious, creative, and weird
This podcast is not only hilarious but also helps introduce me to so many great improv performers!! Additionally it’s great to listen to to keep me entertained for when I’m playing with my very needy cat for hours a day. One can only throw a mouse back and forth across a room so many times before losing their mind without an improv podcast. The beautiful father and son dynamic really seems to speak to my cat as well

You should listen to this podcast
No pressure, but you should listen to this podcast. I don't wanna make you feel obligated, but it's just that it's really good and funny. I know you're a busy person, so I don't want you to force it, but maybe just check out a few episodes when you get the chance. Then follow, rate and review, and then subscribe to the Patreon, BUT NO WORRIES IF NOT!

    Call me satisfied !
I love this show so much that I googled how to leave a review on google and discovered that Spotify doesn’t allow for written reviews?! I saw red at that point but because dan and Tim and guests do such good work I jumped into Apple Podcasts and here we are. an idea from a long time listener - can we open up a conversation about why we think Spotify doesn’t allow reviews? seems like they may be afraid of something? Could be mixed in with the weekly weather report or sketcher debate. incredible show, thanks for making this happen every week, truly excited every time i see a new ep is dropped. also I enjoy hearing about the super hot takes from the transplanted Chicagoans as they experience the LA vibes. 5 out of 5 stars.

    Looooooove Chicago Improv
Found the podcast through Hey Riddle Riddle. I couldn’t be more pleased with what I discovered. A hilarious, fast paced formerly Chicago based improv podcast featuring a beautiful little boy and his loving father. The hijinx these two get into, I’ll tell ya what, you’ll be slappin your knee. 10/10 podcast, would recommend. -Love Matthew from Valparaiso R.I.P Harvey

    Bumper Stickers
I personally believe bumper stickers are one of the worst ways you can support a business or political organization. Yes, it is a way to advertise something, but there are so many awful drivers out there, that I believe it often brings a negative affiliation to the thing you’re trying to promote. I don’t care how much you “Hiene Brothers’ Coffee” when I just had to swerve to avoid you hitting me! Also, the podcast is good. 5 stars!!!

    bringing family together through improve
i first came across tim and dan through their videos on twitter. it is heartwarming to see their father don relationship grow over the years. from tim being a grumpy father to his joker obsessed son who lived in his basement to (with the help of his brother damian) being a supportive father and helping dan become a loving husband to his wife and her awesome coworker, kevin. this has inspired me to reconnect with my dad who i haven’t spoken to in 3 years and now he is helping me move across the country to chicago where i am starting a new job and a new life

    Hilarious show with a heart
This is the only podcast that has embarrassed me in public by giving me the giggles on the train. The father-son relationship at the center of the show is also beautiful to behold. I started listening to this show with my own father, who I don’t have the best relationship with. After listening to 20 or so episodes and laughing together, we started to get a better idea of what our dynamic COULD be — playful, loving, and fun. Now he’s planning on doing original standup at my wedding (before he was not invited)! Thanks Dan and Tim for being great role models and keep doing what you do.

Embarrassing myself laughing with headphones in on the bus
Suuuuuch a funny show. Always heartwarming to hear a healthy, loving relationship between father and son. Seconding another review that says start with The OG Epic Mouths.

    Denver girl
Found Dan on Twitter a couple months back…Overtime, I fell in love with his sense of humor and began wondering if he was actually married considering the back and forth notions of his relationship status through his deceiving tweets. Based off the information you’re able to gather from his Twitter, quite literally anything could be and anything could not. But I loved that he remained mysterious despite his large following. Anyways, I live in Denver and randomly decide to give the show listen. Happens to be the episode they call out to Denverites to leave a review so here we are! Haven’t listened to enough to give an honestly opinion but am confident this duo will make its way into my listening rotation. Thanks for making me belly laugh with your Twitter Dan!

    The BEST improv pod!
Hosted by Dan and Tim, who claim to be unrelated (but have yet to share evidence). Damien Anaya is on the pod so frequently he should probably be credited. If you’re just tuning in I recommend “OG Epic Mouths” to start. Just make sure you aren’t driving or operating heavy machinery.

    Demographic Confirmation
After blowing through everything Big Grande and Hey Riddle Riddle had to offer, decided to expand my listening horizons and found the delightful antics of Tim and Dan. Having moved in with my father recently (near Arvada, CO) it’s nice to hear an amicable and entertaining father-son dynamic that gives me hope for my ongoing relationship with my dad.

    Improv is Wed
We’ve been longtime fans of Fudge since 2018 (fellow WKU Hilltoppers like Damian!) and we’re so grateful that father/son duo Dan and Tim continued their work via pod during the pandemic. Improv is Dead has kept us smiling since day one. We’d love nothing more than having our favorite trio attend our upcoming nuptials this June of 2023, in Nashville. The menu will consist of oysters, salad, chicken, and UNLIMITED wine and beer. There is plenty to do around Nashville including eating hot chicken and going to a honky tonk. Also, there’s a Top Golf. More selling points available upon request. Seats will be reserved for Improv is Dead and Matty Healy. Let us know! Paige & Ethan
