This is probably the most interesting film criticism podcast around thanks to the depth and personalities of Aaron and Carlee. So much of popular film analysis these days is just summarizing and filtering art through some oversimplified worldview, which never happens on this podcast—the hosts bring a serious, multifaceted understanding of both the world and themselves to the show, which means that their conversations are always thought-provoking and insightful.

Don’t listen to many movie podcasts because they don’t provide me with enough insightful commentary but Hit Factory is always required listening

Great show! I don’t love every movie Hit Factory covers, I don’t agree with their taste 100% of the time, but I absolutely DO listen to the show regularly and get quite a bit out of it. Aaron and Carlee have an easy rapport with their guests and make a full meal over every film, exploring aspects of it that other shows wouldn’t bother with or be dedicated enough to follow up on. Honestly one of the better movie podcasts out there.

Grrrr how dare Aaron insult Dennis Villenawayvay. Denny’s is the greatest, he makes profound films about profound questions like “Maybe the U.S. Military’s presence in Mexico is *GASP bad??!!!” and “What if Dune was more orientalist?” Aaron and his podcast could never.

Discovering this podcast via Twitter was like a lightning rod. It aided in resuscitating my dormant love and passion for cinema which I thought had been lost. Aaron and Carlee always deliver considered, ardent analysis of our 90s cultural artifacts and have exposed me to a few unknown gems. They have my sword and shield forever.

This is my favorite film podcast! And cheers to Aaron and Co. for just being good people! You have a listener for life.

Cannot recommend this podcast enough. If you're at all into film, into the 90s, or into really great cultural and political analysis, you're in for a treat. A+
