Chickling88WCA is a masterclass in film critiqueRight from the enigmatic intro, WCA is a masterclass in film critique that captivates you completely. The hosts exhibit an infectious camaraderie and a depth of knowledge that is both inspiring and approachable. They dissect films with a deft touch, balancing personal insight with the enthusiasm of true movie buffs. I love that they are open and honest with each other and I can almost ALWAYS pick a side. Each episode feels like a warm invitation into a close-knit circle of friends whose banter and insights I find absolutely delightful. Their thoughtful perspectives not only deepen my appreciation for cinema but also often have me laughing out loud and nodding in agreement. I love this podcast—it’s a community I long to be a part of, and it stands tall as one of my top recommendations for any film lover seeking that rare blend of intellect, humor, and heart.

sparky.txYet another rambling movie podcastIt seems to be in vogue to get your friends together and ramble on about movies and tv. I was hoping for more of a planned attack. This is particularly weak since they have too many people so they are constantly interrupting each other with different levels of microphones

BCTGIRLYESSo good, tell a friendAbsolutely obsessed, they’re all so funny and genuine. And do diff movies than a typical movie podcast. It’s like listening to your best friends bicker during a coffee run.

Taybear 201518Quickly became one of my favorite podcasts!I gave WCA a try after hearing Ra’Shawn guest host on CineMythology. I really liked what he had to say and quickly powered through a few episodes of WCA. I love this podcast because it mirrors the real conversations you have about films with your friends, sometimes getting a little heated when the opinions are so vastly different. Ra’Shawn, Mella, Lacey, and Josh do a fantastic job all hosting the podcast and I love hearing their discussions, sometimes rooted on a critical basis while others are purely emotional (lookin at you nightmare before Christmas episode- jokes, sort of). It’s great a time!

Dereleaked88Cinematic BattlesWhen Cinephiles Attack is a successful balancing act of cinema discussion. Despite the number of hosts, the show embraces a bit of chaos on top of friend discussions and genuine movie love. And nothing is off the table. Every genre over various decades is represented so there’s a film topic for everyone. Beyond that, the arguments are always entertaining. Please give them a listen and subscribe now!

Sean LaverySweeneyJosh needs to direct all his Soundheim anger towards Webber. Sweeney Todd is a masterpiece show, as is Company, Assassins and Merrily We Roll Along, sorry Josh doesn’t like rapid exposition. This is probably Burton and Depp’s last good film and should be respected as such.

oldNight__Awesome show!Came from show me the meaning, and I’m so glad that I did. The show so funny, and fun, and I love the hosts. Absolutely one of my comfort shows. TarantinoToriMovie discussion with friends, what more do you need!I love movies and talking about them with my friends. So I immediately loved this podcast! Especially during a time that we all are so removed from our friends, it brought me into their group and made me fee included in a discussion I wasn’t even a part of. I can’t wait to keep listening.

PrettyandwittyandgayThe Fab FourAnyone who knows me is aware of my staggering obsession with film. Four of my former classmates from college in LA have started a podcast, and if you love movies the way I do-- you need to do yourself a favor and check it out. Lacy Blake-Vetter, her husband Josh Vetter, and besties Ra'Shawn Durell and Carmella Diaz-Lolar are the best quad since Sex and the City. Insanely talented performers in their own right, they speak eloquently, intelligently, and, it must be said, they will keep you laughing. I had the privilege of working with all of these actors, except for Josh, but I did have the opportunity to watch Josh perform on campus, and I can tell you with utmost certainty, these four people have traits and skills worthy of big screens and huge stages. From Mella's infectious laugh, to Ra'Shawn's adoration of Henry Cavill, to Lacy's wiiiiiiiiiiiiide vocabulary, and Josh's cynical yet lovable retorts, these four have the best witty banter, the most interesting conversations, and you can tell they're genuinely enjoying themselves. (Sidebar-- I also got to see Josh and Lacy's love story unfold from the very beginning.) I LOVE THIS PODCAST-- it's honest to god the highlight of my week. I listen in the car, at work, or even at night after my kids go to bed. Please, please, PLEASE, take a moment to look for their podcast and enjoy the ride. You won't be sorry.

serg3jmWARM AND CACKLEYFrom the very first minute, I felt like I was physically there with this hysterical, honest group of ass clowns. I didn’t know I felt this way about the movies they talk about but it’s so relatable. This dynamic is excellent. Also, Texas Friday Night Lights is SO Bring It On 😂

_BusbySOME GOOD STUFF.Definitely becoming my new favorite podcast. This podcast offers sass and humor, no two opinions are the same which opens up the table for some great debate. The little tid bits of fun facts between each film really tie everything together. Hands down a good time all around.

latweeetybirdI LOL’ed too much!Cinephiles is the new Polly Pocket!
-
bigfatqueenOne of the bestI absolutely love that this group of podcasters don’t settle into a beat by beat retelling of a movie’s screenplay (as most podcasts tend to do). This show actually has something to say and does it extremely well.
-
