penguingamer11The Lemon TwigsCan you please talk about the Lemon Twigs. They kind of sound like Wings and The Beach Boys. Can you ask when we was fab to do it too? The A dream is all we know album. Please do it. It’s like half the album is 60’s and half the album is 70s. Can you also ask When They Was Fab to do it too?

spencerwhwrThe best Beatles Podcast, with one minor flawI listen to this show religiously, can’t miss it. I love all 3 gentlemen and that robot like family at this point. However TJ is an Elvis hater, can’t give it 5 fabs, but will give it 5 stars. Keep it up!
-
Dolorous TedFair warning...If you plan to enjoy a beverage while listening to this podcast, press pause to take drinks. Otherwise you risk spitting your drink everywhere with very little advanced notice. TJ and Tony manage to be both extremely knowledgeable about all things Beatles and side-splittingly funny. Go back to episode 1 and binge this pod, you won’t regret it!

JanithJuvenile drivelThey think they are so amusing. They’re not. Don’t waste your time.

L-HightreeSuch a joy-joy!What a fantastic joy ride these guys are. Beatles talk, nonsensical 80’s rerun TV callbacks, Chicagoland references and so much more. I’m so glad I found these guys. Mark it Fab!

Victory Auto WreckersSo Beatley GoodThe perfect intersection of my love for Moo and Oink and Mal Evans. I’ve listened to every episode and always excited to hear the latest drop on Saturday mornings. Collect all those records TJ! Great to hear musicians not only tell the Beatles story, but also talk about the nerdy music theory! Why so many “naughty chords” Paul? Thanks guys keep it up! Bear down! Go whitesox, Rubber Soul hey hey!! 🛥️ MORE PIANO PLEASE! Chuck

proggerzHysterically funny—the most fun of any podcastI am so glad I found this podcast. I have quickly become addicted. I am a Gen X Beatlemaniac, former Chicagoan, musician, record collector, and comedy fan. So, basically, the ultimate target audience. Look: the draw here is that TJ and Tony are so funny I sometimes laugh until I cry, and Casey’s fantastic audio editing skills (inserting music clips, White Hen Pantry ads, sound effects and audio joke call backs) make this play like a zany radio morning crew from the 90s but focused 100% on the Beatles. It’s hard to imagine anything better for my taste. There are also some good insights into the music and the culture around the band and its music and the hosts have the knowledge of obsessives like me. A certain type of fan will, like me, be unable to listen to anything else for a while! Some may find the comedy and tangents annoying but there are medications available for that—see your doctor.

Joe MilzCurrently my favorite podcastThe guys are truly funny, super informative and their love for the Beatles shines through in every episode. Keep up the great work boys!

Shawkey89I would listen “Any Time at All!”This has become my favorite podcast over the last several months. Tony, TJ, producer Casey and their fact checking robot P3Z-Nuts (try saying that name 3 times fast, “don’t @ me” you bucket of bolts, haha) combine fun banter, pop culture references, Chicago history, comedy and of course the Beatles in entertaining 1 hour episodes. I highly recommend this to any Beatles fan. Thank you gentleman for putting this show together for us Apple Scruffs. I also strangely find myself randomly singing “TJ Shanoff must collect all the records.” If you haven’t checked it out already go ahead and drop that needle, a splendid time is guaranteed for all.

DrumFan77Endless entertainmentTJ & Tony never fail to lighten up my day! Untitled Beatles Podcast was the first podcast I ever heard, and i’m hard pressed to find any better ones out there. -Skylar
-
jamesonofagunprobably my favorite Beatles podcastIf this show were a TV special, it would be Ringo’s 1978 TV Special. I mean that in the best way. Also, please do an episode on Ringo’s 1978 TV Special.

francisreaderI absolutely love this podcastLike and Subscribe, Folks! I haven't been on board with TUBP for that long, but I do have a lot of fab Beatles-related podcasts in my feed, all of which I love, but there's something About Tony and TJ's schtick that tickles me to bits. They're smart, fun, informative, pointed. But hey guys, I though I could rely on you to be the ones who—finally— rip to shreds the sloppy edit at the end of the wonderful I'll Be Back. I mean, "YOU, if you break my heart I'll GO"—what's that all about?? Like and Subscribe!

Tanya Reader‘Wit’ The BeatlesIf they weren’t genuinely witty, it would be 2 stars, just because, personally, I mostly don’t like a lot of in-house giggles. But they are witty, so it’s 5.

SpongeBobbyHil589Dumb & SchtickyChicago based improv boomers channel sufering. Way too overproduced. Time seemingly stopped in 1992. They're stuck in a Time Warp cue Rocky Horror picture show "Let's Do The Time Warp again." talking about warp non-sequitor What about Let's do the Time Worf Again. cue Star Trek music To Bodly Go where Nowhere Man has gone before. "Worf's a Real Nowhere Man" record scratch. Exhausting. Show would be better is they dropped the schtick and simply talked like Frans/ fans. Also no one is that interested in your political grandstanding.

Cgerety1Great Beatles ShowAs a Beatles fan since age 7, I recognize the symptoms of Tony and TJ‘s obsession with the Fabs. I’m a little older than Tony and TJ. I remember when the only Beatles information was from The Beatles Illustrated by Roy Carr and Tony Tyler, the Hunter Davies’s book and the Beatles Forever by Nicolas Schaffner. Anyway, this brilliant podcast has quickly become a real favorite in my Beatles-centered world. Very funny and interesting listening. Thanks for your commitment and hard work. By the way, I apologize for TJ’s experience in Birmingham in the late 90s. Never voted and would never vote for Pres Mango or his fascist-forward followers. Anyway, love your show.
-
mountart2Fun, irreverent, and some Beatle chatI wish they would get to the topic of the show sooner rather then waste so much time getting there, but still a good listen. A lot of fun and silly mess with some interesting concepts for shows (most of the time!)

Gurnn BlanstonMaybe it's just the edibles talking...If you love the Beatles, hate Trump (& you should), & have friends who invited you to their shows at Improv Olympic, then this is the podcast for you. But unlike your friends' iO shows, UBP is fun & funny -- & also super-informative. Even though I consider myself a big Beatle nerd, I always learn something new & cool from a UBP ep. Along with their deep love for the Beatles and vast Beatles knowledge/info, hosts TJ & Tony are musicians, which adds a unique & interesting level to their talks. And of course there's the banana-shenanigan comedy stylings of Tony & TJ -- & also producer Casey! That's what makes this podcast really special. Their production is always spot-on brilliant -- it's often the thing that makes one of their bits kill. I love when one of their jokes contains a hilarious reference to something so obscure that their joke is understood by only you, them, & a handful of other supreme nerds.
-
Greg AntonowiczFun PodcastLove listening to these guys, same age as I am with similar Beatle history. I would love to sit down with a beer and talk Beatles with them, probably have some laughs. They wouldn’t like how I vote, but as long as they don’t find out I can keep listening. If I had money I’d be a paytreon member, and I hope this show continues to grow and suceed!

TrnaciousDennisI’m not going to write a great review- I was bribedI’m just going to get to the point- I was mentioned in a recent podcast and am therefore obliged to write this review. I started listening about twenty episodes in (BC: Before Casey) and it was like hanging out with some friends who know as much (or more-label sniffer) about the Beatles and just want to pass an hour with humor and unique points of view. I genuinely enjoy the drops that Casey adds and the non sequitur and improv humor that TJ and Tony bring. Even when it fails. (Fkk it, do it live!) Now I have to listen to Metal Machine Music in my left ear and Two Virgins in my right. I know Lou Reed was making a cover version!
-
Clark KauffmanAlways a fun listenThe most engaging and entertaining Beatles podcast out there. Even the frequent off-topic diversions are entertaining. The hosts never take themselves too seriously and their humor is a welcome alternative to other podcasts that consist of self-important Beatle nerds reciting facts on whatever subtopic grabs their attention.
-
Alfred Jarry Jr.The Thing I Said TodayFor my money (what little there may be) these guys make the best, most enjoyable podcast about a subject which has been visited and revisited many, many times. They bring a level of real enthusiasm and - most importantly - a great sense of humor to the project. The production is - in itself - fun and energetic. This is a show I look forward to. Applause all around!
-
Phat bumFavorite Beatles podcastThese guys definitely know their Beatles stuff - from the different pressings, labels, and mono/American mixes, down to the fonts on each album cover. They obviously have fun making the show. Took me a bit to warm up to what they do, but once I took a whiff of a couple UBP exclusives, I was hooked.
-
Josh from New YorkThe Car Talk of Beatles PodsIf you liked Car Talk without being big on cars, then this is the Beatles podcast for people who may or may not like the Beatles. These guys could be talking about anything, and Is still probably listen to them. That they’re actually talking about the Beatles is even better - come for the Beatles, stay for the banter! Or vice versa. Whatever.
-
EyerezThe Best, A++These guys are literally the only podcast I listen to! Comedy and music in one place! I love it! Thanks guys, you hit all my buttons and love all the Chicago references! A++!

KackiI promise there is a great podcast here[This is edited the tone of my original review after listening to more episodes]. If you can let yourself enjoy the improv bits I promise there is a great podcast here. It has a lot of good information and production. I appreciate the music clips they play to give me reference to what they are discussing and in doing this exposed me to songs I’m unfamiliar with (specifically solo era deep cuts). It’s the only podcast I write down songs to go listen to after (would love if they had companion playlists curated for each episode on Apple & Spotify) The hosts I would guess are around my age and from the Midwest so they use references I’m familiar with (although Chicago specific references go over my head) the historical information they provide adds context to the music. They are balanced in giving a critical eye to Beatles but are super fans with just the right amount of Beatles scholarship. At first I really wanted them to tone comedy & unrelated tangents I now actually just let myself enjoy this bit. I like that they also enjoy obscure pop culture references and it’s another thing that differentiates this podcast. Shout out to producer KC for everything he adds to show.

hb1840Waste of time.I guess it’s okay if you can take 5 minutes of idiotic talk for every minute of Beatles info.
-
SpanishBreezes👍🏼👍🏼…fab-paced and fun. Love the pop-culture references dear to second-generation Beatle fan hearts. Reverential, with a healthy twist of irreverence. Recommended👍🏼👍🏼 -Mick B.

OverZooshLove showEspecially since you are anti insurrection! Me too.
-
,gnmvNonsenseIntolerable podcast. Constant interruptions with inane comments, bad jokes, non sequiturs. The one star is for the moments they actually talk about what they claim their podcast is about. Complete nonsense and a waste of time.

RJH928Get rid of the piano!!!So annoying!
-
elvis60sFunny Fab and DeepThe Untitled Beatles Podcast manages to be the deepest, serious dive into the whole Beatles experience while being the Seinfeld, Woody Allen, Groucho Marx level hilarious! Take it Tony...and TJ!
-
VT|nerfpamGreat mix of the Beatles and comedyAlways funny regardless of the topic

Mike from So ILI Never Miss an EpisodeLike TJ and Tony, I fell in love with the Beatles music before I was old enough to comprehend how massively important they were to the music world. I just liked ‘em because they were cool and their music made me feel good (and still does). I love to hear the guys talk passionately about interesting Beatles details with a ton of humor and pop culture references. I have also, admittedly, gained a much greater respect, love and appreciation for the solo work of John and George. I’ve always known the obvious hits, but have been lead on a much deeper dive since I started listening during the pandemic. Plus, I LOVE the album break downs and favorites lists (the 5th Beatles bracket was so great!!). Keep up the great work guys!!

dpt1213Best of the bestThis podcast is the best Beatles pod out there. Really different and entertaining. Absolutely a must for Beatle fans
-
Beatle DaveFun to listen.A fun listen every week as TJ, Tony and producer Casey talk Beatles and go off on some fun tangents. I look forward to it every week
-
bboesWhatever gets you through the trafficI stumbled across this on a Beatles kick and instantly became a regular listener and fan. As a Chicagoan, Gen Xer, & music dork, it seems like I already knew them before I started listening. Tony inexplicably brought up the restaurant I worked at in high school…in Toledo! Anyway, if you’re anything like me, this podcast will get you to smile—even while stuck in bumper to bumper on Irving Park Rd.
-
RoeLuvFunny Show.Even as a Philadelphian, I get their Chicago references. Shout out to Larry Bowa

ZinfmanNothing is BeatleproofNo boys, I’m sorry, that was your 100th episode you don’t get a redo.

WI_Music_FanMy favorite Beatles podcastI discovered this podcast and became an instant subscriber and fan! I really enjoy their sense of humor. As a fellow Beatles/McCartney fan, it’s fun to get all of the inside jokes and references! I’m also a second-generation fan, so it’s easy to relate to all of the milestones and releases they mention from the 80s and 90s. The production and editing are top-notch. All of their episodes are great, but I especially enjoyed the one where Tony and T.J. each traveled to the Get Back screening and met up to watch the movie. Outstanding storytelling (“theater of the mind”) worthy of NPR. This is definitely my favorite Beatles podcast. Thank you for the great entertainment every weekend!

Carmelrich1Love, love, love! (Da-da-da-da)My fist podcast experience and I’m hooked! I can’t think enough of these guys, much less say enough. I live in Chicago and I gotta meet them. I’m not a Beatles nerd, but I was born in 61. First non-kids album we had was The Beatles Second Album, (thanks SO much for giving that and Something New the love they deserve! Ya need to understand the wonder of hearing those for the first time in that era!) and the first I ever bought for myself was Help!, a couple years after it came out. I was a nerd thru about McCartney Eye Eye. You gents hit all the bases for me. The wonder of hearing them for the first time, the feeling of “what will they do next?”, the awakening to what the world can do to you, and the joy of nostalgia. The Theatre/Improv throw-ins are pure gravy (I’m a Stage Manager the last 35 years). Please keep pleasing me! I doubt that I’ll please you! Richard Lundy

dbrme123Funny & InformativePhenomenal blend of Beatles lore, comedy, musical analysis & opinion. TJ & Tony are so sharp and quick-witted. Their knowledge of The Beatles and the lads’ solo careers runs deep. They’re also fantastic at weaving in other classic rock, ‘70s-‘90s pop culture, and so much more. I think the podcast has cranked it up a notch since adding producer Casey. I love how well they use Beatles samples and fact-check sound effects. TJ’s superb electric piano is the icing on the cake. Bonus if you’re a Chicagoan - they make awesome references to Chicago in the ‘80s & ‘90s! No problem you’re not from Chicago; this podcast is still well worth your time.
-
MoreHarpsichordWhen They Was FabTony and TJ are a blast! I love how deep they get into everything Beatles from long fade-outs and coughing to highly mixed piano and guitar string buzz. Every episode has been gold. I go back and listen for the oddities as well as the brilliance. I have a deeper love for Ringo than I ever did. All the 80s/90s references are hilarious and relatable. Keep doing EVERY LITTLE THING of WHAT YOU'RE DOING. Peace and love, peace and love..... peace and love.
-
Chef TomMore Beatles shenanigans!!I love waking up on Saturday morning to hear the boys talk about the Beatles. They are quick witted with tons of deep references. Mostly it’s musical ones but there’s some fun Chicago nods. Thanks again for a great podcast. Tom
-
LeeQuickAll the Fabs!Excellent Beatles pod, with a sense of humor. Occasional inaccuracies are balanced with funny drops and great takes. Nice to hear actual musicians talk about music for a change… Too many song clips which aren’t necessary (we’ve heard the songs, guys) but if you love Beatles AND improv comedy this is your show. 5 Fabs!
-
DodgyTCOne of the best Beatles podcastsIf you want some Beatles discussion and laughs at the same time, this is the podcast for you. Unlike some other Beatles podcast hosts who think they are funny (yes you "Fab 4 free for all") these guys are genuinly fast & funny. Highly recomended.
-
beelzebuckySO GREAT!!!You’re nothing but a creep if you don’t love this show and admire the encyclopedic wizardry of Tony, TJ and their producer.
-
cloudpartyFun Beatles Beatles FunSo if you’re looking for who was in the room when John sang on the floor or other detailed trivia about the Beatles (they were a band in the 60s (not the “double zeros” mind you) this is not your podcast. But if you, like me, know a lot about the Beatles or just like them and you want to talk about them without ALWAYS being so serious or pedantic, this is your show. Other things of interest: This is an American perspective (Tony and TJ were introduced to the Beatles through the Capitol records for instance) and they are Generation X (I think?) so, again like me (everything is about me) they discovered the Beatles after the fact. I find that this makes them more relatable and interesting. (Casey—the producer—may in fact be a millennial). Also they aren’t afraid to make fun of each other, themselves, the Beatles, or Billy Joel. I dunno. It’s fun. It goes by fast. It makes me laugh. If it makes me cry it’s for the wrong reason. You should check it out. You’ll have fun. My only caveat is all the Chicago (the city, not the band) references. I’m from Philly, man!! But really Peter Sagal should get them as guests on Wait Wait Don’t Tell Me already Seriously, it’s a fun podcast.
-
PreFab4ManiacFab Four FunTJ and Tony discuss all things Beatles with wit and insight. An extremely enjoyable listen.
-
Mike McLeodA great Beatles hangExcited to have found this podcast. The hosts are always funny and I always learn a thing of two I didn’t know about the Beatles…… and local Chicago media obscurities… if you’re into that.
