Black Widow s550Everyone needs a little Coy in their livesCoy is one of the most positive, energetic people on the inter-webs today and the best representation of the “geek” fandom we need today. I was excited to see him go off on his own. Coy is the epitome of all that is good in this world.
-
Sadman114Always Positive OpinionsI have loved how excited they get opening the DC cards. I enjoy hearing them discuss the characters and heading the love they have for ‘em. Listening to them discuss pop culture in such a positive light keeps me coming back and grows my appreciation for all things comics
-
Eternal_SightThe potential to win cards got me. You win.Are you guys aware that not only do they make a three card background image but a 9 card full page of an image?! Meant to fit in the 9 card transparent page holders that went in that sweet notebook you had, you know the one. Anyways, I’ve always loved your guys banter and general sense of humor and love for *most* people. If I had a gift horse, I’d let you punch it in the mouth any time. Cheers!

Hairyhands81Longtime listenerI have followed Coy since Marvel Movie News. Love his fast talking opinions and will continue to consume his products. Would rate 6 stars if I could.
-
sdchaves420Great show for the banter of geekdomI love listen to these guys get all nerdy and “sweaty” about movies and especially comics and recently they have been opening up old dc comics cards someone gifted them and it bring back memories for me. I used have those and the marvel ones and I can’t remember what I did with my collection. Thanks for all the comic and movies they recommend. Stay sweaty guys.
-
MaroonMan13Long Time Listener, First Time ReviewerI’ve been a loyal CoyCast follower since Day 1 and a fan of Coy even before launching this terrific podcast with Jake. Their chemistry and dynamic is excellent and they’ve built a wonderful community of weekly listeners who share their love for comics, art, pop culture, and pizza rolls. I highly recommend!
-
VanskylarFive Stars!Loyal listener since day one…great chemistry between the hosts and great geek centric conversation…but I can’t believe how much I truly look forward to Coy & Jake opening up trading cards from the 90’s! Makes my completionist OCD go crazy but still so much fun! Thanks you two!
-
burke4691Cosmic cardsLoving the cosmic cards hope you guys 100% it and hope I can win them for my collection!
-
k.curtis0023Long Live SchneppTHANKS FOR EVERYTHING YOU DO COY. Thanks Jake too. My favorite podcast. I need more honestly. Also I miss the book club days. It helps me read more comics. This podcast is great tho. Keep doing you. And stay sweaty!!!

jamesdezielThe Podcast that saved a birthday and stole our heartsBeen following Coy since Collider heroes and this show is the best spiritual successor to that! Coy and Jake have incredible banter and depth of their differing opinions runs rampant across your earlobes, dear listener! Their new format alternating between news and deep dive pop culture discussions will keep you enthralled week in and week out. Producer Jake remains a contrarian yet never falls into being a cynic, providing amazing banter between the two. Coy remains the best of us in terms of advocates for the comic genre and it’s so refreshing hearing someone do all they can for the medium I love. Case in point, my brother’s birthday was cancelled due to the pandemic BUT Coy’s promotion of Golden Apple comics and their $50 grabbag promotion helped me deliver a FAT wad of graphic novels to him and save the day. For some of the most unique yet justified opinions and takes on the geeky pop culture we so love, face front true believer...and hit play, dammit!
-
ohmygilFive Stars!I love this show. I support their Patreon and love hearing their opinions (even if Hoeycast is better). Jake and Coy are a lot of fun to listen to and set themselves apart by not being I sufferable bros complaining about fictional women having agency. Don’t get me wrong Coy is a bro but he’s not an INSUFFERABLE bro. If I win the review contest Dooger is gonna have my legs broke.
-
Jsquared-imtCoy and Jake are the bestTitle says it all. Great nerd/entertainment banter and always a go to whe. I listen to podcasts
-
nicknamealreadytaken21356NerdsCoy and jake have amazing banter and do an excellent job discussing not only comics but all media. I love listening to these two talk all things marvel and dc, even if coy definitely has been paid off by marvel, and jake thinks Batman could beat thanos. Keep it up guys!
-
Husker4life109Great show!I love listening to coy and jake talk comics, I don’t always agree with either person but I love hearing their opinions.
-
ConnorjgrahamGreat Comic RecommendationsEver walked into a comic book store and feel so overwhelmed by the sheer number of books and just immediately turned around? That’s me. As a completionist, I feel the need to start at the beginning of a characters run, which is impossible. Coy and Jake have amazing recommendations that make choosing books a lot more manageable. I’ve read through all of Saga, Sandman, Invincible, The Boys, and try to pick up a couple of their floppy recos on the reg. Coy and Jake, the two hosts, have great chemistry and worthwhile opinions and breakdowns of all the fun pop culture stuff you may be looking for. Even when I don’t agree with a particular take I can appreciate the well thought out points from both. If you’re looking for a positive pop culture cast where one host is always on and the other grounds the show when it need it (lol), this is it.
-
poofy17106TRUE FANI love the chemistry between these two. I’ve been a fan since lockdown in 2020, and the podcast just keeps me entertained. It’s a great listen at the gym, and on the road. You can tell they have A true love for the geek culture.
-
TheRyanCrossProjectI'm tempted to hit the report a concern buttonBut not for the reasons you think. I'm concerned that this WHOLESOME podcast isn't reaching the audience it deserves. here's why. 1. Coy is the energetic base that give this a postive charge. 2. All energy needs something to ground it. Enter Jake Lloyd Bacon *insert commerical to go see pitch and his new project when it comes out* he brings reality to Coy's very excitable energy. every yin needs a yang 3. THEY ARE BEST FRIENDS. need proof? alright Coy LITERALLY SAID a couple episodes back (at time of review) "you're pain is giving me joy" BEST FRIENDS! RIGHT THERE! 4. ......... ok I think i ran out steam but I like having even number of things sooooooo...... Listen to the podcast it's good for ya.. It'll put hair on your brain.... wait

MackDorFun Community of Pop Culture FansCoy and Jake are continuing to foster a wonderful community full of wonder about comics, movies, TV and more. Through their conversations on pop culture, personal stories, and fun games (often suggested on the spot by hotline callers), they take us on a new journey every time. Come join the fun and don't forget to join the Discord community once you're onboard. It's a good time brought to you by Dragon Wagon Radio.
-
westcoastspidey3 years strongCoy and Jake have created such a unique space in the overcrowded pop culture talk sphere. Hotline games from listeners, a lovely Discord, some light real world talk, pop culture news, and of course honest movie discussion: these guys do it all. You couldn't have two more opposite people on paper, but the way Coy and Jake are always able to have fun deep discussions without it turning toxic is their superpower. And offers listeners a range of perspective. Here's to many more years of Coycast!
-
Saracast13Can’t get enough (but Coy needs to rest)Coycast has been a part of my Wednesdays for about two years now and listening to them is ALWAYS a treat. Jake and Coy truly love comics and pop culture and have cultivated an amazing community with their interactive hotline-call episodes. They’re some of the nicest, realest dudes in this pop culture space using their platform to spread love towards art. I can’t express how much I love this show!
-
ManOfTomorrow008Done listening because of Jake3 stars for Coy, who genuinely seems like an awesome dude and his love for comics and films makes me so excited every week. But I can’t listen to Jake anymore. His pessimism and lack of excitement/energy just seems to drain conversations on these topics. I will continue to seek out Coy’s opinions on social media. Jake seems like a good guy overall but I just can’t get enjoyment out of his takes on these topics anymore
-
InvisiTripWednesdays!Every Wednesday this podcast makes my week. Thanks thanks thanks!

Andy06233Great Show! It’s been a while since I’ve heard any 5 star reviews of your show. I wrote one a while ago, but since you two have been at this over a year I feel like some positive reinforcement thrown at you can only help the show grow and thrive. Side bar…I think it’s time for a “Pinch” sequel. Maybe it should be called “Slap” and feature the two groups going after some piece of hockey memorabilia. Anyway, keep up the great work gentlemen!

acslatersonBummer, DudeI have followed Coy since Marvel Movie News. Jake has completely turned me off to Coy’s good vibes. An absolute wet blanket, Jake complains about people commenting on trailers, people talking about shows/movies the day they come out online, and not seeing movies because of his better half (The Batman is a prime example). I’m a year younger than Jake and think he is absolutely ridiculous in his old man views around pop culture and the Internet. Can’t watch a show the day it comes out? Don’t go on the Internet. Holding a podcast back because he is so whipped he has to wait for his lady to watch things with him? Dude, read the audience. I used to be a Patreon subscriber of Coy’s, but I ended it because of this lag in discussions being hamstrung by Jake. Want to not be annoyed by people at the movies? Go during week day matinees. Oh, you can’t because of your girlfriend? *whip crack sound*
-
HoldMyBrickThe Best Podcast around!I am a very long time fan of coy. I have followed him since the early episodes of Marvel Movie News. You better believe I was excited when I found out coy had a podcast. This podcast lives up to the hype that I set myself up for. I don’t miss an episode. This pod also introduced me to a great guy that is The #1 Producer Jake! I wish you guys many more great episodes and maybe one day a filmed podcast? I’ll leave it up to you guys. 😂 Yours truly, HoldMyBrick
-
dkosonovich17Five Stars!Updated my phone so I can finally get you that 5 star Apple review!! Love the show and the insight from Jake/Coy. I’m always laughing along and have fun listening to you two. Can’t wait for the I watched this trailer 20 times shirt.
-
IceCRM1992Love the showI enjoyed the “Guess Who” style movie guessing game that Jake and Coy did this week. You guys should do more games like that in the future.
-
UNDEFEATED UTESLove the ShowI love the show, love Coy. As someone that doesn’t have a preference between Marvel or DC I’m still surprised by Jakes bias against DC, which sometimes feels like he has a personal vendetta against DC fans and doesn’t feel fair. That’s always off putting to me for a host who’s normally positive and fair.

High Fantasy SoulI created an iTunes account for thisI've loved watching Coy break down pop culture since his days scorching the competition in the MovieFights speed rounds. His enthusiasm, positive attitude, and view of storytelling made him a joy to watch so it was a no-brainer to subscribe to his new YouTube channel and then start listening to his podcast. I've dabbled in comic reading, but wanted to get into it more, so listening to two nerds gush about storytelling - both movies and comics - seemed the best place to start (I've even begun the Ultimate Spiderman run they started a read-along to...I know, I'm very late). Whether it's the latest casting announcements, adaptation hopes, or movie and show reviews, I love how Coy and Producer Jake bounce off each other and clearly have a great time even when they disagree. Their balanced approach to reviewing is great and even when they're critical, it always feels good-natured and insightful. I love hearing the Hot Line calls (I really need to call in one day, but hey, I've been listening since the beginning and am only now getting around to reviewing it, so that tells you a bit about how slow I am to get things going) and the wild questions like characters' favorite ice cream, what instrument they'd play in a band, and real-life jobs a character might have are insanely entertaining to listen to. I look forward to popping CoyCast on every Wednesday morning because Coy's hyperactivity actually gives me the motivation to hop out of bed and start the day instead of laying there for hours scrolling through Twitter and Instagram. It's the perfect thing to put on as you make your morning coffee (though have a pen and paper ready to jot down those comic and streaming recomendations!) Keep up the good work, guys! And yes, I broke down and downloaded iTunes to review this. I always listen on Stitcher, but I hear iTunes is the place to leave reviews to draw in more listeneners - and trust me, you won't regret picking this podcast up for a weekly dose of entertainment news.

Just Floating ThroughThe Personal Touch of Nerdy Pop Culture LoveI originally reviewed this as a 4 Star review but I’m bumping it up to 5! My original review had my only critique of the show which was that Coy and Producer Jake could at times spend more time dissecting what didn’t work in properties than the positives. It wasn’t anything too bad, but Producer Jake actually mentioned my review in an episode, in a respectful manner, where he and Coy addressed it. Which was totally unnecessary because I could have just been some random internet d-bag haha. But this is the nice personal touch of their nerdy community they have created where they do interact with their fans as best and often as possible. The rants are wild and they’ll spend minutes drafting heroes into fictional sports teams while explaining their reasons. Both men have varying tastes in entertainment and will often disagree on whether they like or dislike a movie to our amusement. But they always keep it civil and more often than not agree to disagree. You can tell both men have a strong love for comic books and are not afraid to say they love or dislike a property no matter how toxic the fandom may be. With an amazing banter between our two hosts, you’ll never be bored while listening to this podcast. Now I do stick by my one critique still. I do 100% roll with their dissecting why a property didn’t work. I find it incredibly insightful. Producer Jake as a writer/actor is able to provide insight into why things may or may not work. Coy too is able to provide insight having worked as an actor, behind the scenes, and befriending people in the business whether they’re writers, actors, or voice actors. They both have had great discussions on why the writing for a show or movie may not have worked which is why I would also like to hear their takes on why things did work well also. I don’t want the blind fan boy screaming that everything is awesome because these properties aren’t perfect. But I would like a discussion on why a plot point was successful/strong and the themes that a show or movie tackles, along with what things didn’t work. A yin to the yang. If there is 20 minutes discussing why something didn’t work, I would also love a 20 minutes discussing about something that did work. But this is a minuscule critique from me as a selfish fan who wants to hear both men discuss these nerdy things more. This is a podcast I’m committed too for the long run. Both men have valuable opinions on these pop culture properties, whether you agree with them or not. Able to back up their thoughts with years of experience reading comics and enjoying these properties and their jobs outside this podcast, both hosts have a true love and respect for what they do. Having love these things before they were cool in the mainstream zeitgeist, these two whose opinions I respect up there with the late great Jon Schnepp. That is why my ratings went up as both gentlemen were extremely respectful when discussing my review while continuing to provide quality nerd content. Coycast is what you should listen to for the positive sweaty goodness all things Marvel, DC, Image Comics, movies, TV shows, etc.

Geo_was_here!The Podcast That the Gift Horse Keeps on PunchingEvery episode ends with the phrase: “Thank you to comic books for existing”. That’s the level of passion this nerdy host has. Coy’s love for pop culture (comics in particular) is incredibly infections that comes with colorful adjectives and positivity towards entertainment and mental/physical health. Jake is a very effective stand-in for us fans who might have some knowledge but aren’t as well-versed in the geekdom that is cómics like Coy. I appreciate the dynamic that balances out the potential audience of different levels of sweaties. I have a lot of blind spots in the fandoms, but the way most of this is explained by the two hosts doesn’t feel like it alienantes me at all and I can be just as excited for it. (Realistically, I don’t think there’s many who can be AS excited as Coy, but you get the idea.) Thank you to this podcast for existing.

QuantanoverlordThe Coy SongSince marvel movie news, he has been our spider boy We all like the fashion, the passion of Coy Ever since the cap, he’s got the comic racks Matt Key can’t gamble, Coys been spitting straight facts He’s our merry marvelite, I really like his movie fights Now he’s a legend, but he started at ground zero I rest easy, knowing Coy is my hero Gang Gang
-
Oz from Monterrey“Oh, I get by with a little help from [Coycast]”It’s always comforting to listen to these guys’ respective views, passions, and friendship. Though Coy’s energetic spirit is one that has given him popular acclaim, I find producer Jake’s calmer and poised outlook enlightening and something all fandoms need. Together, they have definitely made 2020 worthwhile. I’m hesitant to add this, but (for the sake of sharing constructive criticism) the theme song is a bit too ADHD for my taste. Ironically, it’s a very fitting theme for Coy. Best regards for year two in production and onward!
-
New Jack ChangQ&AAs someone who has been an avid listener since the show’s inception moments like this are the peak of the numerous reasons why a show like this is GGGGGGRRRRREEAATT!!! I merely posed a question to the show’s host and behold it’s incorporated into an episode title. Counting this as a win in this train wreck of a year that is 2020
-
Jerrod.M.S.I like it but also, what?New to Coy but a fan of other dragon wagon shows so figured I'd give this a listen. After a few weeks I'm giving plus 4 Stars for all the pop-culture and comic-book goodness but minus 1 star untill you SLOW. DOWN. Even just like, a little. Would love more conversations and contemplations and less word-waterfalls of easily googable information. Just my thoughts but I DO like the show and will still listen. EDIT = Mentioned my review on the show AND losened the format fixing what I was complaining about means updated rating to 5 stars. Love these guys. Wish more podcast hosts took feedback this good.
-
misadventurerGreat podcast, great hostCoy is knowledgeable, funny, fast paced, positive, friendly, neighborhood, spectacular, spider-Dude. We would run out of adjectives to properly explain Coy, but he’s great and genuine. I haven’t listened yet but I know him in person and I’m subscribing and leaving a review with positive words to help the algorithm
-
Joseph 2179Love CoycastI really like the new format with news one week and reviews of comics the following week. As someone who started reading comics in 2012 hearing about the ultimate line makes me want to go back and read them. Thanks for the consistency.
-
DngerousThe Comic Cast I’ve been looking forAs a comic book and podcast fan I always felt like there wasn’t a podcast that got into the nitty gritty sweatiness we all love. Comic based podcasts usually go with some predetermined order. I just wanted something where I can hear good talk about comics. I’m even working on my own pod so I can fill that gap I feel. Coy and Jake are the closest to what I’ve been looking for. So much so that binging this show constantly distracts me from my own podcast and that’s the best compliment I can give.
-
Tmac420Super whinyHoly whiny millennial!!
-
davtay913Coycast Rules!!!Coy has made me dig into comics. I’ve read the first couple volumes of Ultimate X-Men and Spider-Man plus various other series through Comic Book Shopping. Keep on being awesome, Coy and Jake!
-
RhinoeatRank: Sweet Potato SouffléThis podcast has helped get me through the longest year on record. Coy’s enthusiasm is infectious, and Producer Jake is a great foil. Keep up the great work and stay sweaty!
-
Yankeefreak96Potato ScaleI looked up a list of different potatoes to rate this podcast. I’d give it a Yukon Gold potato as it is described as an all-purpose potato, much like this is an all-purpose pop culture and entertainment podcast. Producer Jake is like a Jewel Yam, because like his name he is often confused for being just the producer even though he adds many great points and conversations. And finally Coy, someone who I’ve followed on many different podcasts and shows. It’s tough to give this incredible human just one type of potato, but I will have to go with the the fingerling potato as it is described as having a distinct nutty flavor, but is also full of Vitamin C (Comics????). Sounds like Coy to me.
-
oh8fourReal sweatyCoys positivity is so infectious! Producer Jake provides a balance of cynicism when it's needed and together it's so much fun to listen to these guys. Stay the sweatiest!
-
SquashPearsonNerdgasmI have been following Coy since his Marvel Movie News and love what he brings. He is energetic, funny, knowledgable, and most important, sweaty. Producer Jake brings a more casual take into the show mating it easily accessible for and level of comic nerd. I have always been a comic collector first and reader second, with Coys weekly recommendations I am now an avid comic book reader. Thank you for bringing a small amount of joy and happiness into my life via comics! Thank you for bringing Saga and Y:The Last Man into my life. I am a forever fan and was surprised when I realized I haven’t given a review yet. Please always keep doing what you are doing! -You friendly neighborhood Spidey-Fan, Josh
-
Kyle2684Fun HostHost has so much knowledge and Energy. I Love it!! Thank You!!
-
Nadia J SillaThe validatioooonHello Coy and producer Jake, Nadia from Miami here. I just had to stop on the side of the road to write this and say that the moment I heard Coy say he’s a twihard I felt validated for everything I’ve been and are in my life that’s defined by the things I consume hahaha, that is all. No, seriously this podcast continues to make me feel incredibly valid in every aspect. Stay safe, stay sweaty!!!
-
bronx Vet08Coy is the GOAT!Coy is my favorite comic book expert to listen to. I first listened to him on Marvel Movie news then followed him to collider heroes. After that show cancelled I wondered where I can find him and I found him and n here. Very excited.
-
noggincomicsIs it Wednesday yet?I remember finding Coy Jandreau on the show Comic Book Shopping and instantly became a fan. While working from home, searching for a podcast, CoyCast was recommended and now every Wednesday, Coy and his producer provides an hour or more of joy. From someone that loves being a geek and the geek community (despite the toxic tendency), thank you for giving another positive voice in the geek community.
-
Manny Moe83Coycast is a Coyblast!Manny the movie nerd here telling you that Coycast is one of the most energetic and fun comic book, movie, and all around general pop culture podcasts around. Coy always has a great outlook on life and is inspirational in all he does. Give it a listen to hear what your missin’!
-
cameronmillwrPrepare to get sweatyCoy is one of the most enthusiastic and vivacious internet hosts in the entire multiverse. This podcast is filled with charisma, pop culture goodness, and some sweet sweet comic book flavor. Come and listen to the world of comics, from a partaker in the industry and try not to be amazed. The producer Jake also completes the podcast with a new perspective and some wonderful anecdotes. Don't miss this ship
